A 50% deposit is required to book a boat. You can make the payment in Thai baht to our company account, in cash to a courier, and we also accept payments in Russian rubles to a Russian bank card or in USDT for your convenience. Full payment is due 1-7 days before departure, depending on the vessel, with details provided on each vessel’s page. If you need to cancel your boat rental, please inform us at least 1-7 days before departure to receive a 100% refund of your deposit (cancellation details are specified on each vessel’s page). In case of cancellation after the specified date, the deposit is non-refundable.

Arguably the most beautiful island in Thailand, off the west coast of the Malay Peninsula, Phuket is perfectly located for you to explore many of the other islands and mainland tourist hot spots of the Andaman Sea. - Phang Nga Bay lies between Phuket and the Malay Peninsula. Renowned for its limestone spires and jaw-dropping scenery, and is a protected as a national park. The James Bond movie The Man With the Golden Gun was filmed here, as was Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. You can also sail to 'James Bond Island' on your sailing cruise.

- Krabi is the mainland province to the east of Phuket and includes the major tourist destination of Ao Nang. Do try to get to Rai Leh Beach - a white sand beach well away from the mad crowds of Ao Nang.

- Among other Andaman Islands, The Phi Phi Islands have two sides to them - Phi Phi Don's no limits nightlife on Phi Phi Island's sandy beaches and nearby Ko Phi Phi Lee. Here you can chill out at Monkey Bay where monkeys come out of the forest to feed on crab, and also visit Maya Bay made famous in the Hollywood movie The Beach. This is all a protected national park.

- The Similan Islands and Surin Island , northwest of Phuket on the Andaman Sea are a forgotten paradise that you will visit to enjoy nature at its best. This is probably the best location for snorkelling and scuba diving using the gear you're carrying on your boat charter.

- The Tarutao Islands , the most southern islands of Thailand are also a bit of a trek (perhaps better as a crewed yacht charter) but are also a world-class diving resort with their rare and beautiful marine life. Another Thail tropical island paradise!

About the only really good sailing trip destinations you can't make from Phuket are Koh Samui and nearby Koh Pha Ngan. With these five destinations in mind, as well as cruising Phuket itself, you will be almost spoiled for choice when it comes to a Phuket catamaran charter. Where you go really is a case of choice and available time!

Crewed Catamaran Charters from Phuket

You don't need to worry about being an experienced sailor or even sailing the boat out of Phuket with Borrow a Boat! A Phuket crewed catamaran charter on a motor yacht or sailing catamaran can mean you do as much or as little physically sailing the luxury yacht as you like on your Phuket yacht charter holiday.

A skippered yacht charter or will mean that the skipper will be aboard with their own cabin to attend to all your needs. A crewed yacht charter or gulet charter will involve one or two crew on the charter boat who will cook, sail and make suggestions as to your best destinations on your sailing itinerary. With their local knowledge, even if you're an experienced sailor you can enjoy a perfect yacht charter holiday.

One of the advantages of a crewed yacht charter holiday is that you can go longer distances from the yacht charter base. The Similan Islands and Surin Islands are all within reach for example, with the crew handling everything as you go.

You will need to think about your itinerary, victualling, possible secondary ports should a marina be full, as well as issues like weather and mooring fees.

Catamaran Sailing Itineraries From Phuket

On your Phuket crewed catamaran charter or bareboat charter you can explore the Andaman Sea or head out to the Similan Islands on a longer run. Here we suggest a 7 day sailing holiday and a 10 day yacht charter holiday on your charter boat:

7 days - Phang Nga Bay and Ko Phi Phi: This seven day Phuket yacht charter might be better as a bareboat yacht charter holiday. On this sailing vacation you can explore the islands immediately around Phuket. Head for Phang Nga Bay on the first night, then onto Koh Hong, Ko Kai, and Ko Phi Phi, this is an opportunity to take in the best of the Andaman Sea in a week's easy sailing. The limestone cliffs and places like Maya Beach will make for an unforgettable week's holiday.

10 days - Similan Islands and Surin Islands: Only open outside of the Monsoon season, this is perhaps better done as a crewed charter holiday. Heading up Thailand's west coast you will visit the heavily protected, beautiful islandarchipelago. As well as the sometimes challenging sailing, there are no resorts or marinas in the Similan Islands and as such it pays to have a skipper or crew aboard who knows the waters. The reverse of this is that you may well find you have a beach or even bay to yourself as most of the islands are uninhabited. With the rare marine life over the reefs, this makes for world-class scuba diving grounds and while a bit of a trek getting here, will be worth every moment.

Do You Need A Licence To Charter A Catamaran In Phuket?

If you are on a skippered catamaran charter you do not need a license to sail out of Phuket, you can just turn up at the marina and go.

You do need a license if you are on a bareboat catamaran charter and in some countries such as Thailand a RYA Day Skipper or ICC may not be enough for boats over 45 feet in length, you will need to check with the charter agent but here are some examples of typical sailing qualifications that will allow you to charter in most countries:

International Certificate of Competence: This is issued on request by your European sailing authority and you should automatically qualify with certain national sailing qualifications.

RYA Qualifications: If you have the following qualifications you will typically be able to take a bareboat charter out of Rhodes (but it is worth checking as per above), these include Day Skipper (sail or motor endorsement), Coastal Skipperor Yachtmaster.

American Sailing Association (ASA): The ASA 104 Bareboat certificate is commonly accepted but also check as per above

US Sailing : The International Proficiency Certificate is widely accepted and The Bareboat Cruising Certificate is also accepted in many cases.

You should consider do you have the experience to handle the catamaran before you book and where do you want to go along with what the weather will be like. Bring warm weather and cool weather clothing if it looks like the weather can be cool as well as warm and remember at sea it can be cool in the evenings.

Explore & Discover

To the South of Phuket there is a 100 nautical mile string of inshore islands, stretching from Koh Phi Phi to the Malaysian border. They offer tranquility and many opportunities for exploring.

East and South East of Phuket Island, the fabulous Phang Nga Bay, Krabi and Phi Phi Islands, together form an area of about 500 square miles. Here you will find sheltered sailing in all seasons.

The entire area is dotted with impressive lime stone formations, honeycombed with caves and fringed by mangroves. Three major rivers plus a couple of smaller ones flow in the Phang Nga Bay.

This is very much catamaran country, one could cruise here for many months exploring creeks, rivers and drying out in the mangroves. A typical feature are the hongs, high limestone islands which have collapsed in the middle, leaving a landlocked lagoon. Several of these lagoons are accessible by dinghy or kayak at low tide through caves.

Further attractions are Railey Beach, said to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and the well-known Phi Phi Islands offering impressive surroundings as well as great nightlife.

Can we bring children?

How do i book catamaran cataleya, and how do i pay.

If you wish to book a trip, after having confirmed availability, please notify us. You will then receive an invoice stating the amounts to be paid as a deposit and the outstanding balance. Also, the dates when these amounts are to be paid are stated. 

The deposit is due no later than 5 days after the invoice has been sent. After depositing, please inform us of your payment. Upon receiving this payment we will immediately send you a confirmation. 

We reserve the right to sell the charter to another party after sending the invoice, if not paid immediately after receiving the invoice. The general rule is first confirmed deposit, will receive the charter.

Can I make changes to my booking?

If the changes do not affect our scheduling, we will not charge you for making changes to your reservation. We will try to accommodate significant changes based on the circumstances.

Do I need insurance?

Your sailing holiday in phuket could start like this:.

You arrive by airplane at Phuket airport, where we pick you up and drive you to the base. In Chalong Bay our captain will meet you and brings you with the dinghy to Catamaran Cataleya.

You put your luggage into your cabin, get rid of the winter clothes, get your shorts on and a T-shirt.

When you get to the front of the yacht and relax in one of the bean bags, you close your eyes and ask “Where is the Champagne?”

We raise the sails and travel on a warm wind towards the sun, anchor in a beautiful bay on a tropical island.

The crew serves you exquisite local and European food freshly prepared and then, at last, you realize that you are on holiday!

The salon is huge; accommodating the galley with a bar. You can sit there and watch Chern our cook preparing a “Tom Yam Kung” one of our favorite dishes.

Opposite the galley is ample seating, but the best place is the seating arrangement in the cockpit area, which consists of two tables and comfortable seating for twelve guests.

For many people, the word ‘Yacht’ relates to a single-hulled boat (aka. Monohull). With this idea, there may be a preconception that all yachts sway a lot in the water. Although this is true to some extent – a charter catamaran is a lot more stable in the water as a result of its two hulls. There is no denying the advantages of a sailing catamaran .

Here are a few reasons why:

While many ‘cruisers’ prefer to opt for the traditional monohulls, for a charter, there is no denying the advantages of a sailing catamaran.

Here’s a few reasons why:

• Catamarans sway and swing a lot less than Monohulls ,therefore seasickness is hardly ever an issue
• Especially for families with children Sailing Catamarans are much safer than Monohulls. Because they don’t heel and rock it is almost impossible to fall overboard. Catamarans are very stable and have natural buoyancy, making them just about unsinkable.
• SCUBA Diving and Sailing! Only Catamarans offer ample flat space to gear up for scuba diving and offer a comfortable and safe entry into the sea.
• Catamarans sail faster than Monohulls, you will have less travelling time and more time to enjoy at the islands
• Because Catamarans don’t need a keel the yachts draft is shallow, allowing the boat to anchor in lagoons and shallow sandy spots near reefs giving their guest the comfort and luxury to go snorkeling or diving right from the yacht’s swimming platform.
• Why shower in the bathroom if you have a fresh water shower on deck. Enjoy the incredible view while showering in the fresh air. On a Catamaran this is the norme
• During your sailing cruise you want to spend most of the time in the shade on deck relaxing at a comfortable spot. Catamarans have much more and especially flat and even deck space. It is easy to put up awnings to create shade and there is ample space for cushions and bean bags to provide comfortable seating for all guests aboard a sailing catamaran.
