Monaco Yacht Show 2024: The Biggest, Boldest and Most Expensive Superyachts To See

Even in its 33rd year, Monaco Yacht Show continues to break its own milestones.

The principality of Monaco has a calendar that’s filled with major events. While the financial benefits of this little tax haven ensure its population remains fairly well stocked with super-rich and socialites year-round, it’s these events that truly bring the masses. April calls for the tennis at The Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters; in May it’s time for the Formula One Grand Prix ; June brings the world-famous car show Top Marques ; and summer draws to a close with perhaps the most glam of the bunch, the Monaco Yacht Show, which this year falls on September 25 – 28.

For those interested in gazing upon some of the finest yachts that can be found anywhere in the world, Monaco ’s Port Hercules is a pretty good spot year-round, but for the weekend of the Monaco Yacht Show, things enter a different league.

The Monaco Yacht Show is essentially a gathering of the global superyacht community. From owners to innovators, manufacturers and brokers, all head to the principality. Each year, builders and brokers present around 120 superyachts and 60 luxury tenders , with many of these reflecting current industry trends and revealing the potential future direction of the industry. These vessels boast an average length of around 160 ft, with a sprinkling of superyachts that top the 320 ft mark – with this year’s headliner clocking in at 400 ft.

Aside from the yachts themselves, visitors can expect countless designers improving yacht interiors and engineers working to ensure the industry becomes more sustainable. There’s sure to be a lot going on.

So ahead of this year’s event, Elite Traveler has looked into which yachts will be on display at Port Hercules and curated a list of some of the show’s unmissable vessels. So blow the dust off your Panama hat and add a few zeros to your credit card limit, because these are some of the biggest, boldest and most expensive boats attending the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show.

The undisputed biggest headline of this year’s show – in every sense of the word – Lürssen’s Kismet will be the largest yacht to go on display in Port Hercules. While the previous title holder was another from Lürssen, the 377.6-ft Ahpo, the Kismet takes its victory by a considerable mile, clocking in at 400 ft. Previously known as Project Jag, the Kisamet was handed over to owner Shahid Khan in May 2024, making it one of the show’s newest deliveries, too.

With exterior design by Nuvolari Lenard and naval architecture by Lürssen Yachts along with Reymond Langton Design working on the yacht’s interiors , Kismet is decked out with a helipad, beauty salon, indoor and outdoor cinema, dance floor and gym. Perhaps unsurprising, but all this makes Kisamet one of the most expensive yachts to charter , too, asking for €3m (approx. $3.4m) per week with Cecil Wright & Partners.

Delivered in 2019 by SilverYachts and refitted in 2024, the almost 280-ft, self-described ‘sports activity vessel’ Bold takes center stage at Monaco Yacht Show 2024. Designers Espen Øino created the superyacht’s striking, military-inspired exterior, creating a unique glass-enclosed loft on the upper deck that covers over 3,200 sq-ft of interior space. Meanwhile, Vain Interiors has created an opulent, New York-style loft, which is built to accommodate up to 12 overnight guests in eight luxurious staterooms and can carry up to 96 passengers while cruising.

With a a huge selection of water toys, a vast outdoor entertaining area with a bar and Teppanyaki grill, a cinema, an eight-person hot tub and a lounge surrounding a firepit, it’s no surprise that the Bold is a popular charter yacht, with Holl Robinson asking €875,000 ($972, 800) per week.

Following an extensive, three-year rebuild, the most expensive superyacht on the market has returned to Port Hercules for 2024, complete with a new look – and price tag, too, asking for €295m ($328m). The 344.5-ft Oceanco H3 superyacht has already picked up a handful of international awards for the new look and is expected to impress many fans at Monaco Yacht Show 2024.

In addition to the extra 10 meters that were added to the H3 ’s hull, the rebuild – from the likes of Reymond Langton Design, which worked on both the exterior and interior redesign, and the collaboration between Lateral Naval Architects and Oceanco on its naval architecture – also saw a pool deck, huge spa and wellness area and climate-controlled winter garden added to H3 ’s numerous amenities.

With its distinctive, shark-like exterior design, the 295-ft superyacht DAR will be hard not to miss at Monaco Yacht Show 2024. Built by Oceanco with exteriors designed by Luiz de Basto Design, the glossy black silhouette was inspired by the look of the hammerhead shark, with sinuous lines, wide set wing stations and a mast modeled after a dorsal fin.

Meanwhile, renowned Italy-based studio Nuvolari & Lenard has crafted swooping, contemporary interiors. DAR’s impressive features include a complete owner’s deck, complete with a private salon and jacuzzi, a wellness area, an impressive beach club, and two helipads for private use. Offering grandeur and complete privacy in equal doses, DAR can accommodate up to 14 guests in overnight accommodation, with separate living quarters to host as many as 31 crew members.

Despite only hitting the waters in June this year, the first wallywind110, Galma , is set to make its global debut at Monaco Yacht Show 2024. Measuring almost 110 ft, Galma ’s naval architecture comes from German studio judel/vrolijk & co while interior and exterior lines are designed by Wally in collaboration with Santa Maria Magnolfi. With a design that offers the comfort of a cruising yacht while maintaining the performance of a racing boat, Galma is characterized by the 22.6-ft telescopic keel and an all-carbon hull that has been painted in light metallic blue.

Other highlights of Galma include an 860-sq-ft full-beam cockpit with seating and dining for up to 15 people, as well as an open-plan raised saloon. Galma can accommodate up to eight guests overnight, with five crew members.

The 2023 Monaco Yacht Show Round Up

By Emily Dawkins

2023 marks the 32nd edition of the most renowned superyacht show in the world. For 32 years, the Monaco Yacht Show has welcomed visitors from around the world to discover the latest and greatest from all areas of the superyacht industry. Despite its incredible heritage, this year was truly remarkable in every single aspect.

When pondering over the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS), superyachts, luxury and grandiose often come to mind. The 2023 edition, however, was an honest showcase of how, in reality, the annual September show is so much more.

Superyachts.com were honoured to welcome Managing Director of the MYS, Gaëlle Tallarida, to our interview studio during the show, where she shared more about the organisers' dedication to making the event a place to not only marvel at superyachts, but a place to learn, share and discover, with the visitor experience indispensable. This has certainly come to fruition, with a growing programme for VIP attendees including separate entrances and a new Sapphire Programme, an initiative selecting guests wanting to buy or charter a superyacht.

Of course, what would the September show be without superyachts? 117 vessels, including 3 remarkable catamarans were berthed in the iconic Port Hercule for the annual MYS this year. Incredibly, 45 of these superyachts were new builds launched in 2023, with 16 other vessels launched or refitted in 2022. According to figures from the show, 61 yachts on display this year were less than two years old, accounting for a momentous 52% of the total MYS fleet.

58 of these yachts were presented by shipyards and 59 were presented by brokers, to ensure a diverse collection of new builds, charter and brokerage vessels. Alongside superyachts, 61 luxury tenders were on display, including two extraordinary submarines.

Aside from superyachts and tenders, MYS offers the perfect display for those looking for the adventurous side of the yachting experience. The Adventure Area was home to 30 cars and motorcycles as well as two helicopters: offering a truly immersive experience for all visitors.

Excellence and innovation are two words that perfectly summarise the exhibitors of the 2023 MYS. Shipyards, brokers, designers, naval architects, service providers, marine manufacturers; the list goes on in regard to the diverse array of exhibitors on display this year. A total of 560 carefully selected exhibitors showcased their new products, latest innovations and recent projects, as well as shared insights about their goals and plans for the coming year until the next show. 28 industry conferences also took place over the four days, providing the perfect platform to listen and discuss several topics with industry leaders and specialists.

Things were just as busy at the Superyachts.com stand, with over 70 interviews conducted over the four days. We were delighted to welcome a number of industry CEOs and company Founders, to hear the breaking news as it happened. Interviews during the day and parties at night, the epitome of work hard, play hard, Superyachts.com were thrilled to host a Tacos and Tequila party for Amandine Chefs, as well as Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority’s annual English Harbour Rum party. Just across the Port from the Superyachts.com stand, M/Y BG CHARADE held hundreds of guests for a lavish evening with ALBA , supported by Superyachts.com.

From Superyachts.com, a huge thank you to all of our co-exhibitors, sponsors, interviewees, visitors, host Shari Liu and team: without you, none of this would be possible.

As the celebratory horns echoed around Port Hercule this evening, the 32nd edition of the Monaco Yacht Show has officially come to a close. It is safe to say that this year's show was indeed witness to the ultimate gathering of maritime luxury, and we already can’t wait for next year (after a rest).

"There's a lot of different elements: we work with the yachting industry to understand their needs and understand what they expect from the Monaco Yacht Show." Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director, Monaco Yacht Show

Apsa asia superyacht night at monaco yacht show 2023.

superyacht night 2023

The Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association is looking forward to welcoming over 200 members and their guests to the Asia Superyacht Night (Monaco) being held on the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) 2023. The highlight of the Association’s event calendar, members from the Asia-Pacific superyacht community will gather at the Novotel Monaco for this invitation-only event that connects the Asia-Pacific with the global superyacht community.

Nigel Beatty, Chairman of APSA, is delighted that Asia Superyacht Night has proved to be such a crowd pleaser. “This year’s event is looking to be even bigger and better, and we will welcome our APSA members and guests to the Novotel Monaco where the event has been held since 2017. This is the perfect opportunity for members to catch up and share industry news, and build on the connections that they have made through their APSA membership.”

“This year’s event is exceptionally well supported by nine sponsors, all of whom are APSA members. Maritime Cook Islands and Cook Islands Yacht Squadron have returned as Premium Sponsors. Our Gold Sponsors are YACHTZOO, Hill Dickinson, Superyacht Australia and Dörries Yachts GmbH, and our four Silver Sponsors are Azure Yacht Crew Health, GMT Global Marine Travel, Frigomar and Next Tide (SG Marine Guide).” Beatty believes that the key to the success of this event is its relaxed friendly atmosphere where people come to have fun and network before the main event. “This year’s theme is a combination of the ‘Island Vibes’ of the South Pacific, blended with the Asia tradition of the Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival, which will look fantastic in this spectacular setting.”

Talking with the sponsors, there are many different reasons as to why each of them supports APSA’s signature event. Eleanor Roi, Co-CEO and Director of Business Development & Client Services for Maritime Cook Islands, says “We are pleased to be the Platinum Sponsor for the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association for the second consecutive year. APSA provides us all with opportunities for further collaboration and networking with industry professionals and clients alike, always expanding the commercial and market reach of the Registry.”

Darrell Hall, a Founding Partner of YACHTZOO, and a supporter of this event from the start says, “Yachtzoo is thrilled to continue its support as a gold sponsor of the APSA Superyacht Night for the sixth consecutive year. We take pride in contributing to the promotion of the Asian region to both charterers and yacht owners. This event offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow industry professionals who share our passion and commitment, while also expanding our expertise in these remarkable destinations.”

Alex Teji, APSA’s Honorary Legal Counsel, and a partner at Hill Dickinson adds, “We, too, have supported APSA from the start, and are pleased to continue to help development of superyacht business in the Asia-Pacific region. We truly value the relationship we have with our South East Asian clients and colleagues.”

Superyacht Australia CEO David Good says, “It is fantastic to get all our Asia-Pacific neighbours together in Monaco the night before the show starts. It’s like a team coming together for the final briefing before the big game, where we are all about to do our best to get more business and yachts to Asia-Pacific – and that’s why Superyacht Australia is pleased to be an APSA event sponsor.”

New APSA member Henning Dörries, Founder and Managing Director of Dörries Yachts GmbH, says, “We are proud to be a gold sponsor this year. As the Asia-Pacific region continues to grow and gain traction within the superyacht market, we are excited to be part of the APSA community to help promote this beautiful part of the world so that it can be enjoyed by owners, guests, and crew alike.”

Silver Sponsors for the evening include: Azure Yacht Crew Health, GMT Global Marine Travel, Frigomar srl, and Next Tide. Co-Owner of Azure Yacht Crew Health, Claire Murray French, says, “We cannot wait to enjoy APSA’s Asia Superyacht Night as a curtain-raiser to what we think will be a very exciting Monaco Yacht Show. Bravo for your efforts over the past year to get the Azure name out there to the industry in Asia-Pacific and beyond.”

GMT Global Marine Travel Founder and Managing Director Tim Davey also expressed his gratitude for APSA’s ongoing efforts in promoting Asia and the Pacific as an exceptional superyacht destination. “This region offers an extraordinary array of ancient and modern cultural experiences; if you’re ready to visit this remarkable part of the world, contact GMT to help fly you there.”

New APSA members Frigomar and Next Tide are excited to be participating, and Luca Santambrogio, Manager for Frigomar, says the Italian company is “very honoured to be able to collaborate with APSA, whose work and efforts we deeply value. We haven’t really worked together for a long time, but our company is looking forward to a long partnership to support the growth of the superyacht business in Asia. We are delighted to be sponsors of this event in our 50th year of activity, and we are thrilled to meet colleagues and friends from the industry.”

Founder of Singapore-based Next Tide, Wade Pearce, says this is a great opportunity to keep the spotlight on Asia. The Founder and Organiser of the Singapore Yachting Festival says, “We are thrilled to be a sponsor this year; we believe that APSA is doing an excellent job in keeping the APAC region well-informed, and we see great opportunities for Next Tide to support businesses bridging Asia and Europe.”

This year’s ‘Island Vibes’, along with Asian celebrations, will have everyone on their feet and dancing. The beautiful Cook Islands dancers Rehiana Wiki Koteka and Terito Story will be there to welcome the guests and weaving their island magic on the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show. Don’t be shy to ask for a photo!

The 2023 superyacht summer recap: Jeff Bezos is now king of the high seas

  • For billionaires and their celebrity friends, warm weather means it's yacht season.
  • Jeff Bezos recently debuted his $500 million megayacht Koru, which criss-crossed the Mediterranean.
  • Here's a recap of some superyachts that made headlines this summer — and the famous faces spotted on them.

Insider Today

Jeff Bezos made headlines in 2019 for a rare appearance partying at sea on David Geffen's yacht, the Rising Sun , with ex-Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein and model Karlie Kloss.

Four years later, Bezos is no longer Amazon's CEO, and he's spent the last few months earning a new title: king of the high seas. As 2023's yacht season comes to a close, it's clear that Bezos' brand new $500 million superyacht won the summer.

Many of the world's rich and famous have shied away from being spotted vacationing on yachts . Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav made that mistake early in the season, sparking backlash after hosting a lavish soiree overlooking a bevy of yachts on the French Riviera, just weeks after the Hollywood writer's strike kicked off.

But Bezos and his superyacht guests appear undaunted by coverage of their travels.

Bezos named his megaboat Koru, after a Maori symbol of growth (perhaps a reference to being the world's largest sailing yacht at 417 feet long) and new beginnings.

Koru took its maiden voyage to Gibraltar in April, and a flurry of photographed stops followed: In May, a shirtless Bezos and his now-fiancee Lauren Sanchez — who has a striking resemblance to the sculpture on Koru's bow — took the yacht for a spin off the coast of Spain, before sailing it to the Cannes Film Festival.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lauren Sanchez (@laurenwsanchez)

In June, Koru made its way to the Italian Riviera , where the couple posed for photos on the ship's deck. Then it stopped by the Italian island Capri, before posting up at nearby Positano, a cliffside town that's become a favorite of celebrities and travel influencers.

There, the yacht played host to an engagement party for Bezos and Sanchez , which reportedly drew guests including Bill Gates, Whitney Wolfe Herd, Ari Emanuel, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Just a week later, the couple was seen strolling the streets of Dubrovnik, Croatia, with Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry, and Usher.

Yacht season's runner-up: billionaire Barry Diller's Eos

Another highlight of this year's yacht season was the 305 foot-long Eos, owned by billionaire Barry Diller and fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, which also had a busy summer criss-crossing the Mediterranean.

Related stories

A staple of superyacht season, Eos' 2023 summer schedule included an early stop in Mallorca , where Diller and von Furstenberg hiked with Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King; a trip to Greece where von Furstenberg visited with British Vogue editor Edward Enninful and Valentino cofounder Valentino Giancarlo Giammetti; and a stop on the Amalfi Coast where von Furstenberg snagged a picture with Kris Jenner.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Diane von Furstenberg (@therealdvf)

In August, the ship made its way to Croatia, where its owners dined with Hollywood A-listers Candice Bergen, Emma Thompson, and Jason Blum, as well as Diane Sawyer and Creative Artists Agency partner Bryan Lourd.

The Eos docked in Venice to end its summer season, where von Furstenberg hosted the annual DVF Awards — and began furnishing one of her dry-land residences.

Not too far away in Venice's harbor was Maìn, Giorgio Armani's yacht, on which he hosted guests like Sydney Sweeney and Kerry Washington as part of his One Night Only fashion event earlier this month.

Many of the world's other famous superyachts — and the folks who frequent them — appear to have largely avoided the public eye this summer.

"In a world of long-lens constant paparazzi, there is a place for relaxed privacy that many of us take for granted," a longtime superyacht employee, who requested anonymity to speak candidly, recently told Insider.

That's likely the privacy that Geffen is enjoying on the Rising Sun, the yacht where Bezos was photographed a few summers ago — and on which Geffen infamously self-isolated in March 2020.

While the ship has been keeping a low profile this yacht season, it's reportedly been spotted in Capri and Mallorca , though without its typical celebrity entourage on board. Most recently it made a splash in a place not typically known for attracting the world's most expensive crafts: Portland, Maine.

Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 preview

The mediterranean show season is about to kick off with the cannes yachting festival in the heart of vieux port….

superyacht night 2023

“Thanks to the renewed confidence of our exhibitors, this 2023 edition is looking very good with similar forecasts to the previous year: 600 exhibitors, more than 650 boats and 140 previews,” says Sylvie Ernoult, Director of the Yachting Festival. “This new edition will highlight the small units with the creation of a brand new area, a marina in the heart of the Vieux Port, which will accommodate more than 50 small motor boats from 8m to 18m.”

superyacht night 2023

“Once again this year, our visitors will enjoy discovering some real gems in-water and on land, boats of all sizes and types, equipped with traditional and carbon-free engines, with the first onboard electric, hybrid or hydrogen power systems.”

It is in the show’s DNA to offer the most eclectic range possible, adds Ernoult. “So it seemed natural for us to host small units in the best way, traditionally displayed on the Quai Max Laubeuf, in a dedicated floating area. Below Deck Sailing Yacht Exes Daisy Kelliher and Gary King Have Explosive Reunion in Season 5 Trailer

Below deck sailing yacht 's daisy kelliher confronts "pr--k" gary king following their failed boatmance in e news' exclusive first look at season five. plus, meet the new yachties..

Below Deck Sailing Yacht 's new season will be anything but smooth sailing.

That's because returning costars Daisy Kelliher and Gary King are anything but friendly after their failed boatmance in E! News' exclusive first look at the Bravo series' fifth season.

Following Daisy, Gary and BDSY alum Colin MacRae 's messy love triangle , Daisy is still reeling from the complicated and dramatic fallout from last season.

"Going into this season, I got rid of some dead weight," the newly single Chief Stew says in the trailer. "The breakup did a number on me last year. I felt very broken. But now, I'm coming back in more focused, full of energy and I'm f--king good at my job. And I'm taking back the reigns."

Despite her initial confidence about returning to the Parsifal III , Daisy adds, "It's gonna be a s--t show."

Cut to the Ireland native yelling at Gary, "Guess what? We have a f--king job to do and I'm not f--king carrying this season on my own, you f--king pr--k!"

But luckily for Daisy, the preview teases her quickly moving on with new Deckhand Keith Allen , who tells Gary, "Daisy would make a very good wife. No?"

As for Gary's response, he bursts out laughing at the crewmember's declaration.

However, Daisy feels the same about Keith and tells him, "You're the kind of person I've never met before."

And when it comes to this season's charter guests, the yachties have too much of a good time with one group on shore.

After a night out, Captain Glenn Shephard warns the team, "You guys went out with some guests, I set some ground rules. Two drinks maximum. You knew the rules, you broke the f--king rules, and now you're here getting upset."

Check out the trailer above for a preview of all the drama to come. And keep reading to meet new yachties Chef Cloyce Martin , Chief Engineer Davide Morosi , Stews Diana Cruz and Danni Warren and Deckhand Emma Crouch .

Below Deck Sailing Yacht premieres Monday, Oct. 7, at 9 p.m.   on Bravo. Episodes will be available to stream next day on Peacock.

Captain Glenn Shephard

Capt. Glenn and his expert crew set sail on Parsifal III to the luxury party capital of the world, Ibiza. While Ibiza is known for its sunny day parties and crystal-clear coast, it’s stormy waters ahead for the crew as they navigate blossoming boatmances, competitive co-workers and tense personal dynamics, all while trying to raise the bar every charter.

Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher

After a distracting love triangle last season that took her focus away from work, Daisy is ready to take the reins back in the interior department with a new sense of energy and determination. However, plans for a stress-free charter season are threatened when her stews question her leadership.

First Mate Gary King

On deck, Gary attempts to keep his team motivated as one crew member struggles to learn the ropes.

Chef Cloyce Martin

In the galley, Chef Cloyce charms the crew and guests but at only 22, he may be too inexperienced to meet the demands of the high-maintenance charter guests.

Deckhand Keith Allen

Stew Diana Cruz

Deckhand Emma Crouch

With ‘No Ordinary’ Fans, Sade Night Turns 10

Fans of all ages slow-danced and lip-synced deep into the night, united by their shared love for Sade, an R&B star who has expanded her audience through social media.

Beneath the red lights of the Sultan Room in Bushwick on Saturday night, old and new fans of Sade swayed their hips, lip-synced to “No Ordinary Love” and closed their eyes in dance-floor bliss. Almost no phones were in sight.

“I don’t really go out that much but this is something I come out for,” said Lawrence Gonzalez, a reveler at the 10th anniversary of Sade Night, a party dedicated to the R&B star Sade and her namesake band. He wore a Sade “Soldier of Love” hoodie and a Sade cap, and a flash of his forearm revealed a Sade tattoo.

Before themed parties centered around a single artist, like Taylor Swift or Beyoncé, were available each weekend in New York City, before Apple and Supreme had stores in Williamsburg , before Dimes Square existed, there was Sade Night.

“I’m obsessed with Sade,” said Mr. Gonzalez, who has attended the event since its inception in 2014 at the now-closed Kinfolk in Williamsburg. “Being around people that wear merch to things like this boosts my enthusiasm,” he added.

Two people lean in to kiss each other while on a dance floor. Others dance around them, and a man in a tuxedo talks to a woman at the D.J. booth behind them.

The tribute party, created by John McSwain , a video editor and music composer also known by his DJ name, Vacations , has a cultlike band of followers. Sunday’s anniversary party, which came two months before the upcoming release of Sade’s first new song in years, was large in scale, but it retained the intimacy of a friend’s house party.

“There’s something very magical when everyone’s all dancing together and singing along at a party as kind of strange as this,” said Mr. McSwain, 43, who wore a tuxedo.

With Mr. McSwain at the helm, and after a brief interruption from the fire alarm, the party got going around 11:30 p.m., progressing from slow jams to up-tempo Afrobeats and remixed Sade hits for dancing.

The crowd, to the surprise of many longtime regulars, spanned generations. Attendees largely fell into three categories: fans who grew up listening to Sade (which is colloquially used in reference to both the band and its lead singer, Sade Adu ), fans who grew up listening to their parents listen to her, and fans who discovered the singer on TikTok , where there has been a renaissance of her music.

“I’m surprised with the crowd,” Joy Agustine, 46, said. “It’s a lot younger than I would have expected.”

Yvonne Prieto and Sandy Cao, both 24, had come from Queens and New Jersey for their first Sade Night.

“I hate to be that guy, but because of TikTok, I feel like there’s been kind of a resurgence of audiences,” Ms. Cao said. “They’re doing more remixes of songs from that era.”

The two were especially excited to hear “Paradise” and “Kiss of Life,” both of which are popular on social media .

“I also love how timeless the music is,” Ms. Prieto said. “You can make Sade relevant at any time.”

Mr. McSwain started Sade Night in 2014 as a low-key alternative to night life.

He had been a D.J. at Lit Lounge, the Jane Hotel , Westway and Kinfolk — all of which have since closed — and largely played “club party music.” He dreamed up Sade Night as a different experience: “something chill and sexy on a Sunday night.”

“It seemed like such a novel idea at the time, almost like the antithesis to what was going on,” said Ezra Morris, 43, who went to one of the first parties. “It’s taken on a whole other life.”

Mr. McSwain still has a screenshot of a Facebook post an attendee made in the party’s early years describing the vibe: “Free. Tons of Space. Everyone is gorgeous.”

The event quickly developed a dedicated following and had the likes of Questlove, Dave Grohl, Ed Sheeran, Florence Welch and Eric Andre in its crowds.

Mr. McSwain brought the party with him to Los Angeles when he moved there in 2016, but continued to fly back each month to throw it in New York. (Now, the New York parties are less regular.) He’s since thrown Sade Night in Miami, London, Paris, Copenhagen and Barcelona. It’s a passion project he personally funds and organizes, and has said he loses money on.

“I feel like part of a much larger community, not just as fans of Sade,” Mr. McSwain said, “but people who really love a certain feeling in music” — those who crave “deep emotions and big releases” from a night on the dance floor.

At the Sultan Room, as the night wore on, newcomers shimmied in through the entrance and made their way straight to the sunken dance floor. In sequined halter tops, Sade merchandise tees and oversize button-up shirts, they slow-danced (and many kissed passionately), taking in the singer’s breathy hits.

Around 1 a.m., Mr. McSwain had an announcement — more of an invitation, really — that everyone was welcome to join him in front of the D.J. booth.

Soon the stage was packed with dancers throwing their arms up and bouncing their shoulders in rapture, and the partying continued past 3 a.m.

“It’s hard to believe Sade Night is 10,” Mr. McSwain said. “It sometimes feels like something beyond me.”

Bowen Yang Calls 'Sweet' Travis Kelce His 'Straight Male Friend for Life' After Saturday Night Live Hosting Gig

Yang and Travis previously teamed up for the sketch "Straight Male Friend" when the NFL star hosted 'Saturday Night Live' in March 2023

Bowen Yang knows Travis Kelce is his friend for life.

The Saturday Night Live star, 33, revealed that he has stayed in touch with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end following his SNL hosting gig in March 2023. Kelce, 34, and girlfriend Taylor Swift also made a surprise appearance on the season 49 premiere last year.

“He is my straight male friend for life,” he shared in an interview with the Los Angeles Times at the 2024 Emmys . “Travis, I love you.”

Yang is, of course, referring to the SNL sketch, “Straight Male Friend,” which he and Kelce teamed up for during the NFL star’s hosting gig. The bit depicted “a low-effort friendship that requires no emotional commitment, financial investment or drama” between a gay man and his straight male friend.

Since then, Yang — who was nominated for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series at the Emmys — said the pair “keep up every now and then,” adding, “We’ll check in with each other. He’s so sweet.”

However, Yang admitted the pair communicate through social media DM rather than text, joking, “Look, I’m not on that level.”

The friends were supposed to connect at one of Swift’s recent Eras Tour concerts in Amsterdam.

“I saw Taylor in Amsterdam over the summer and he was supposed to be there,” Yang shared.

“He was really sad that he couldn’t make it. He was like, ‘We’re going to do a reunion!’ And then it just didn’t happen because he had to do sports stuff.”

While Yang noted the couple are “booked up,” he is more than ready to welcome them back to Saturday Night Live. He noted, “They are more than welcome all the time.”

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Seaon 5 trailer teases a Daisy romance, less Gary, no Colin, major firing, and more

Daisy Kelliher on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5

Finally, after months of waiting for Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 news, we have it, and it’s good.

Bravo released the highly anticipated trailer for the sailing show, along with a premiere date.

The last season fractured the friendships of Daisy Kelliher , Gary King, and Colin MacRae, who all helped make Below Deck Sailing Yacht a mega-hit show.

Colin isn’t back for another season, but Gary and Daisy are, with the past season impacting their working environment.

Aside from the Gary and Daisy drama, we see Captain Glenn Shephard, like never before, losing his s**t on the crew more than once for very good reasons.

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 trailer

Daisy is the focal point of the trailer, as it seems the powers that be are making her the star in the aftermath of the sexual misconduct scandal allegations against Gary.

The chief stew finds herself hooking up with a deckhand that could be more than just a boatmance.

It seems that the new chef is going to be a major problem on Season 5. Daisy and the chef butt heads when she refuses to serve his food because, well, it looks like crap.

The party vibe of Ibiza brings many challenges for Captain Glenn and his crew. Not only with unruly guests but also the crew crossing the line by partying with guests.

Captain Glenn sets ground rules for the crew, which are ignored, leading to him unleashing his fury on them. The captain even wakes up the crew at one point after a disastrous crew night out.

Other teasers include another near-boat crash for Parsifal III that makes it seem like Gary may be the one who saves the day. Speaking of Gary, he’s in the trailer, but there’s definitely less of him, and not a single Gary hook-up is featured.

What is featured is a fire, a bloody nose, plenty of drunk falls, and Captain Glenn firing someone. The way it’s set up, too, the teaser definitely wants us to think Captain Glenn fires Daisy or Gary.

No one wants this drunk on TV! @BravoTV let him continuously get drunk and sexually harass women! He even tried to get one of the girls on Project Runway drunk so he could take advantage of her! He’s a predator & he does not belong on TV reaping all the benefits with free booze! So Bravo has put in place safeguards to protect others from sexual harassment, abuse, etc. but is going to let that drunk predator Gary King stay on? NO!!! He’s gotten away with this for a few years and he needs to be stopped!!! Do Better Bravo!!! I won’t be watching! He’s whining & crying on social media.

Sean 'diddy' combs arrest and abuse allegations: a timeline of key events.

Associated Press

NEW YORK – Sean “Diddy” Combs has been arrested by federal authorities in New York after a grand jury indictment, which prosecutors plan to ask a judge to unseal. The major move comes 10 months after allegations of sexual and other abuse against the music mogul, and an announcement from prosecutors that he was being investigated for sex trafficking.

Here is a look at the key events that have unfolded since late last year.

Cassie says in a lawsuit that Combs subjected her to years of abuse, including beatings and rape. Cassie, whose legal name is Cassandra Ventura, signed to Combs' label in 2005, and the two were on-again-off-again romantic partners for more than a decade starting in 2007. The lawsuit filed in federal court says Combs was “prone to uncontrollable rage” and subjected her to “savage” beatings. It says he plied her with drugs, forced her to have sex with other men, and raped her in her home as she was trying to end the relationship in 2018. Combs, through his attorney, “vehemently denies” the accusations.

November 17, 2023

With staggering speed, Ventura's lawsuit is settled the day after it is filed. The terms of the agreement are kept confidential. “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably," Combs says in a statement. "I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”

November 23, 2023

Two more women accuse Combs of sexual abuse in lawsuits filed on the eve of the expiration of the Adult Survivors Act , a New York law permitting victims of sexual abuse a one-year window to file civil action regardless of the statute of limitations. The lawsuits, filed by Joi Dickerson and another woman who was not named, allege acts of sexual assault, beatings and forced drugging in the early 1990s by Combs, then a talent director, party promoter and rising figure in New York City’s hip-hop community. Combs' attorneys call the allegations false.

November 28, 2023

Combs temporarily steps down as chairman of his cable television network, Revolt, because of the wave of sexual abuse allegations. It would be one of several business setbacks for Combs brought on by the lawsuits.

December 6, 2023

A woman alleges in another lawsuit that in 2003 when she was 17, Combs and two other men raped her. The lawsuit filed in federal court in Manhattan says she was living in a Detroit suburb and was flown to a New York studio, where she was given drugs and alcohol that made her incapable of consenting to sex, and the men took turns raping her.

The same day, Combs posts a statement on Instagram broadly denying all the allegations in the mounting series of lawsuits. “I did not do any of the awful things being alleged,” the post says. "I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

February 26, 2024

A music producer files a lawsuit alleging Combs sexually assaulted him and forced him to have sex with prostitutes. The lawsuit gives a long list of potentially illegal activities dealing with drugs and sex that the producer says he witnessed. A lawyer for Combs calls the allegations “pure fiction.”

March 25, 2024

Homeland Security Investigations serves search warrants in early morning raids on Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami in what officials tell The Associated Press is a sex-trafficking investigation. Combs was at one of his homes in Miami at the time. His two sons, at his home in Los Angeles, were handcuffed during the search, Combs' attorneys said. Officials did not say whether the raids were prompted by the civil lawsuits, but Combs' attorneys said they believed they were.

March 26, 2024

Combs’ lawyer calls the raids “a gross use of military-level force” and says Combs is “innocent and will continue to fight” to clear his name. The attorney, Aaron Dyer, says there is "no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.”

April 4, 2024

A lawsuit that names Combs as a co-defendant alleges that his son Christian “King” Combs sexually assaulted a woman working on a yacht chartered by his father. The lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court says Sean Combs created the circumstances that led to the assault and paid to cover it up afterward. An attorney for the two men calls the allegations “outrageous.”

April 26, 2024

In the first major piece of legal pushback from Combs and his team, they file a motion to dismiss several elements of Dickerson's lawsuit because they were not illegal in 1991 when the alleged incidents occurred. While the legal objections are procedural, the filing also slams the “numerous false, offensive, and salacious accusations” in the lawsuit.

May 10, 2024

Combs asks a federal judge to dismiss the Dec. 6 lawsuit that alleged he and two co-defendants raped a 17-year-old girl from Michigan in a New York recording studio. Again, the objections are procedural — alleging the lawsuit was filed too late under the law — but the court document calls its claims “false and hideous.”

May 17, 2024

CNN airs video that shows Combs attacking Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016. The video closely mirrors an assault described in her lawsuit, which said Combs had already punched her that night, and she was trying to leave the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles when he woke and came after her. In the footage, a man who appears to be Diddy, wearing only a towel, punches Ventura, kicks her, and throws her on to the floor. The lawsuit alleges Combs paid $50,000 to take away the video at the time. Combs' representatives had no immediate comment.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office says it cannot prosecute Combs for the attack shown in the video due to statute of limitation, noting that no case had been presented to prosecutors.

May 19, 2024

Combs posts a video on Instagram and Facebook apologizing for the assault on Ventura. It's his first real acknowledgement of wrongdoing since the recent stream of allegations began.

“My behavior on that video is inexcusable," Combs says. “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry.”

June 10, 2024

At the request of New York Mayor Eric Adams, Combs returns a key to the city. Adams sent letters to Combs rescinding the honor as part of the fallout of the leak of the video of Combs beating Cassie. Adams says he was “deeply disturbed” by the video. Adams awarded Combs with the key at a ceremony in 2023.

A day earlier, Howard University announced it had rescinded an honorary degree given to Combs and disbanded a scholarship program in his name.

August 26, 2024

As part of a multi-faceted pushback against the lawsuits filed against him, Combs asks a federal judge to throw out the February lawsuit from the music producer. His lawyers say the suit was overrun with “tall tales,” “lurid theatrics,” “legally meaningless allegations” and “blatant falsehoods” whose intent is only to “generate media hype and exploit it to extract a settlement."

September 11, 2024

Diddy is sued by singer Dawn Richard in a case describing years of psychological and physical abuse, including groping, that she says she suffered as he helped launch her career. Richard, a member of the girl group Danity Kane and is well-known for appearing on the MTV reality show “Making the Band,” alleges in the suit that she witnessed Combs abuse Cassie and was afraid of the mogul.

Diddy's representatives accuse Richard of making “an attempt to rewrite history” by manufacturing “a series of false claims all in the hopes of trying to get a pay day — conveniently timed to coincide with her album release and press tour.”

September 16, 2024

Combs is arrested on a Monday night in New York after a grand jury indictment. No details on the charges were made public, but federal officials say they will ask a judge to unseal the indictment a day later. Combs' attorney calls it was an unjust prosecution of an “imperfect person” who is “not a criminal."

The Associated Press doesn't typically name people who say they have been sexually abused unless they come forward publicly, as those named here have.

The bond between Jason Kelce and Jalen Hurts is still as strong as ever

Minnesota Vikings v Philadelphia Eagles

There’s something so comforting about Jason Kelce and Jalen Hurts sitting down to chat before a huge Eagles game on Monday night. Despite the two being in completely different parts of their NFL career when they linked up in 2021, they formed a quick friendship built on respect and hard work.

Hurts has opened up with reporters a little more this season, but that pales in comparison to what we see when he sits down to talk to Kelce. It’s a small, and rare, glimpse into Hurts’ “real” personality — the one he tends to withhold from the outside, but not from those he trusts. The QB smiles from ear-to-ear throughout this ESPN interview , and it’s without question due to the fact his good friend is the one sitting across from him.

superyacht night 2023

It should come as no surprise that the duo are super close. Their bromance was on display ahead of the 2023 season when Hurts joined the Kelce brothers on their New Heights podcast , and in the months since his retirement, Jason Kelce has unveiled a whole wardrobe of shirts with the QB’s face on them .

To open the ESPN interview, Kelce asked Hurts if he missed him, with the QB admitting that he does. He pointed out that he always tried to tell Kelce how much the center was appreciated, especially because a lot of guys don’t get their flowers until they’re done playing.

“ HURTS : How you welcomed me, when I was a young player in here — nobody expected me to go in there and play, as a rookie... KELCE : We knew.”

They talked a little more about how things are going since Kelce retired, and Hurts said that Cam Jurgens is doing a great job at center. The QB explained that the two have put in a lot of work and had a lot of conversations to get that working relationship where it needs to be.

Hurts was also asked about Saquon Barkley, and the quarterback said that they started building their rapport in the offseason, when he got to see the RB’s work ethic and dedication.

“ HURTS: You never question a guy that works, and [Saquon Barkley] is a guy that works. Willing to do any and everything to help the team win. That’s all you can ask for.”

The QB said he’s exited about how they can all compliment each other as an offense, and what that looks for as they continue to develop together.

Hurts and Kelce talked about what it’s like for the quarterback now that he’s in charge of identifying protections. Hurts explained that he thinks that is the foundation of playing QB, and so being able to see more of those things, it allows him to have a deeper understanding of the game.

“ HURTS : I just think having the time to develop those things now, and be exposed to those things now, I think it’s been a big help.”

The QB said that it’s about the mentality and philosophy of being prepared, but also knowing that things change every week.

“ HURTS : Playing the position, it’s not about being right or wrong, it’s about having a plan. And so, that’s the goal, always have a plan.”

They talked about the collapse at the end of the 2023 season, but Kelce approached Hurts moreso about what he learned as a leader through those times. Hurts noted that having to push through and just keep trying is a mentality he’s always known to lean into, and to keep showing up for his teammates.

“ HURTS : The one thing I respected about you so much was — you had a lot on your plate. You had a lot on your plate, you had a lot you were responsible for, but you always did it for the guy next to you. That’s the one thing I’ll always respect, because that’s what it’s about.”

Hurts went on to laud Kelce’s approach and his underdog mentality, and when Kelce tried to laugh off the compliment, Hurts made sure to tell him it he meant it.

“ HURTS : I mean, I love you. KELCE : Love you too.”

The two talked a little more about this year’s group of guys and Hurts being excited to continue climbing up a new mountain, and joked about the tush push — with the QB noting the only thing that bothers him about the play is the name, because that’s not what they call it. As they wrapped up the interview, Kelce tried to thinly veil his allegiance to the Eagles.

“ KELCE : Go dominate. I mean, don’t dominate, I’m independent. HURTS : Yeah, f*** that, we know what time it is.”

BOAT rounds up the best photos of superyachts illuminated at night, including Nobiskrug's Sailing Yacht A , Lürssen's 111 metre Lady Gulya and AK Yachts' Victorious .

Motor Yacht A

Delivered in 2008 by Blohm & Voss and penned by legendary designer Philippe Starck , the 119 metre Motor Yacht A is one of the most famous superyachts in the world. Featuring naval architecture by Martin Francis, Motor yacht A accommodates a total of 14 guests and 35 crew inside a 5959GT interior. Here, the green underwater light display illuminates the iconic steel hull from beneath.

Perfect Lady

The first 33m Mangusta Gransport 33 superyacht, Perfect Lady , was delivered in 2020 and made its official debut at the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Designed by Alberto Mancini , the superyacht features accommodation for a total of 12 guests and five crew and can reach speeds of up to 25 knots. Here, Perfect Lady's stern and twin staircases framing the tender garage are illuminated, alongside the yacht's glowing nameplate.

Taking the title as the world's largest sailing catamaran, the 44 metre Hemisphere was built by Pendennis and first delivered in 2011. Designed by Lauriot Prevost , the yacht can accommodate a total of 10 guests and eight crew inside a 499GT interior. Hemisphere also boasts an illuminated flybridge and underwater lighting.

Here, the glowing lights of Northern Sun's interior make sure the superyacht stands out against the darkening horizon.

Launched at AK Yachts in April 2021, the 85 metre Victorious first started life fourteen years ago in Northern Chile as a 77 metre explorer. Now featuring exterior design by Michael Leach Design and interiors by H2 Yacht Design , Victorious features an upper deck complete with a sky lounge, cocktail lounge, observation saloon and dining room, a helipad at the bow and a Jacuzzi on the aft deck. 10 Wrestlers With The Most WWE Wins, Ranked

15 best wrestlemania main events of all time, 10 best promos in wwe history, ranked.

Monday Night Raw was on incredible form as the WWE took to Portland, OR, to continue the road to Bad Blood. CM Punk opened the show with an intimidating promo aimed at an absent Drew McIntyre, Pete Dunne would score an enormous win over Sheamus, and tension has reached an all-time high in The New Day with a break-up seeming imminent.

Jey Uso and Bron Breakker will headline next week's Raw and hyped their Intercontinental Title match with an incredible confrontation. Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman tore each other and the building apart (literally), Damien Priest would beat Dominic Mysterio in the night's Main Event, but The Judgment Day would then make Priest and his Terror Twin, Rhea Ripley, pay with an epic beatdown to close the show.

Jey Uso and Bron Breakker

Two fan favorites make portland go crazy.

The Portland crowd proved to be a red-hot audience all night long, but the building was shaking especially during the electric promo between Jey Uso and Bron Breakker ahead of next Monday's Intercontinental Championship match . Intensity has been the name of the game every time the two have been face-to-face, and it reached a whole new level here. Family insults have been regularly unleashed but here, Bron dismissing Jey's singles career was dunked on by Uso going to the well about Breakker's failed NFL career.

It will be very interesting to see which way the crowd leans when they face off next week because the Yeeting and the barking from the audience were pretty much equal here . It's been long spoken about that the Intercontinental Championship matters again. Listen to the reaction to both of these men. Feel the anticipation ahead of next week's match. The proof is undeniable.

Iyo Sky vs Bianca Belair

What. a. match..

Iyo Sky vs Bianca Belair is a WrestleMania-worthy match and proved to be the in-ring highlight of the night. Amazing sequences, both women having a blast, deafening "this is awesome" chants, and a spot with Bianca carrying Iyo up the ring steps in a suplex position that needs to be seen to be believed.

Damage CTRL and the duo of Belair and Jade Cargill have clashed briefly in recent times, but this is the first time they have taken to the ring to settle their problems. There's no way it'll be their last. Iyo Sky would claim the victory after a non-stop thrill ride of a match that will be spoken about for weeks to come. Jade Cargill and Kairi Sane are sure to dance in the coming weeks. This is an incredible start to this feud.

One of the best promos since his WWE return

Opening Monday Night Raw was the Second City Saint with a promo that makes a laughing stock of the idea that this is an inferior version of CM Punk . Paul Heyman says the best thing about Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts is that when he talks, he comes through the screen and peers into the depths of your soul. This promo echoed that sentiment.

There were no interruptions. No physicality. No yelling. Just raw, ice-cold words, with a classic "I'm gonna make you bleed" declaration and an eerie promise that Drew McIntyre will have to kill him to beat him at Bad Blood . Bring on October 5th.

The Queen Of Hearts is back with a bang

A technical and hard-hitting return to singles competition following her big return in Calgary last Monday, as Natalya beat Zoe Starks following an exchange of roll-up pins . It is an interesting time for the graduate from the Hart Family dungeon. There were extensive talks before she inked her new WWE deal, and she has proved to be an asset to any company for good reason.

Natalya was born into credibility, and has years of experience, having been in the WWE's ecosystem since 2007. While she has basically never been utilized to her full potential, one lesson that the Paul Levesque era has taught us is "never say never". There is also surely enormous potential for her to be a vital component of WWE's future behind the camera.

The Judgment Day

Finn and the gang are on fire right now.

This might have been the best night for the new look Judgment Day so far. There is no shame in Dominik Mysterio's loss to Damien Priest, especially when the show went off-air with The Judgment Day laying waste to The Terror Twins and reigning supreme. Finn Balor was in superb form in his role as a master manipulator. His revelation that he was telling Dom to drop Rhea for Liv (to her face!) was deliciously devious.

An underrated moment of the night came when the group intimidated Ilja Dragunov for being nice to Jey Uso. Bad Blood feels like a literal Judgment Day for the Terror Twins . Finn and Liv face year-defining match-ups with Priest and Rhea respectively. There are two more episodes of Raw between now and then. Expect fireworks.

The New Day

Is the end near for kingston and woods.

This one is going to hurt. Since debuting on July 21st, 2014, The New Day has been one of the most popular acts in WWE history . More impressive than their 13 Tag Team Championship reigns, The New Day's friendship has never wavered in their decade as a team. Their Tag Team Championship opportunity against The Judgment Day was interrupted by Liv, Dom, and Carlito before the LWO made the save. The factions brawling on the outside would cause distraction to the referee while Xavier Woods had JD McDonagh beaten before Finn broke up the count and he and JD wrapped up the win.

The cracks have been hinted at during their rivalry with The Final Testament, but there was something different about Woods this time around. During one of the lowkey best backstage interactions seen at Raw in years, learning that Kofi Kingston was behind the LWO's presence at ringside, Xavier lost it. When Kofi admitted he doesn't think they're strong without Big E , the whole situation changed. It was a great moment of storytelling, one that dug deep into real life, as only the best stories do. For fans of the New Day, this will surely be a "loser" moment, but it's great to see these guy finally involved in a high-profile story.

The reaction must be as loud as the disrespect

The Miz is one of the most polarizing figures in WWE history . Ask five different people their feelings on The Miz and you are likely to get five different answers. What can't be denied is that he really has beaten everybody there is to beat, and he is one of the most decorated superstars of any era. So why the flagrant disrespect from Braun Strowman when he says he wants to face Bronson Reed?

That question was perhaps answered a little later in the night. Strowman and Bronson Reed took to the ring for their match but the top rope snapping after caused an all-out war. Reed threw a fan at Strowman (seriously), Braun retaliated by putting Bronson through the barricade outside of the ring. Finally, the two monsters put each other through a wall. The question is, then, what Miz's role will be in this feud. Is his only current role in the WWE just to be disrespected to hype up other matches?

The Final Word

  • Bron Breakker was released by NFL team the Baltimore Ravens in 2020.
  • The last time the Intercontinental Championship changed hands on Monday Night Raw was when The Miz defeated Roman Reigns on January 22nd, 2018.
  • Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have only tagged together three times since WrestleMania 40.
  • This was The Judgment Day's first defense of the WWE Tag Team Championship since winning them on June 24th.
  • Front-row tickets have to be discounted if there's a risk of being thrown by Bronson Reed.
  • Reed vs Strowman > Godzilla vs Kong.
  • There are hints of a split between Ludwig Kaiser and Gunther, as the Austrian continues to reject Sami Zayn's challenge.
  • Nobody has ever called Dominik Mysterio "Ricky Dreamboat", Wade.
