The gorgeous 163-foot (49.7m) OHANA is a high-performance sailing yacht designed by leading firm Dubois and built in New Zealand by luxury superyacht builders Fitzroy. This luxury sailing yacht combines classic design with state-of-the-art technology, allowing yacht enthusiasts to indulge their passion and experience sailing at its finest. Built completely from aluminum, OHANA is the perfect balance of performance and luxury. A finalist for many prestigious design awards and a proven track record at regattas, the looks and performance of this stunning superyacht are indisputable. When not under sail, her Caterpillar C32 ACERT 1,400-brake-horsepower engine propel her to a maximum and cruising speeds of 14 and 12 knots, while her fixed bulb keel ensures stability. For serious sailors, OHANA can be available for regatta charters.

HUGE EXTERIOR AREAS

The enormous deck areas of OHANA offer many options to enjoy the alfresco life. The aft cockpit offers a large sunbathing area with sun pads, perfect for lounging in the Mediterranean sun before descending the stern stairs to the swimming platform. From here, guests can slide in the water to cool off, enjoy the tranquility of a quiet snorkel, or make use of OHANA’s extensive collection of dive gear including a dive compressor to explore deeper underwater (rendezvous diving only). Guests can also make use of the onboard windsurfs, paddleboards, and dinghies, and take lessons from the onboard instructors. The large sofas and coffee tables of the flybridge are perfect for gathering and enjoying a coffee or relaxing in the early evening with a drink. The alfresco dining area of the main deck is perfect for formal or informal meals, with sheltered sides enabling guests to enjoy the sea air whatever the weather.

ELEGANT LIVING

OHANA’s high-performance does not forgo the elegance and luxury of a superyacht charter. The neutral palette of interior areas creates an atmosphere of understated decadence while sumptuously comfortable furnishings invite guests to sink in and enjoy the serenity. The stunning black marble table in the main salon is perfect for elegant dinners prepared by OHANA’s excellent chef; after which, guests can retire to the sofas of the main salon to enjoy a digestif from the bar or gather for relaxed movie nights with the cinema setup. The five staterooms on board OHANA include a full-beam master, two doubles, and four singles. Up to ten guests are accommodated on board, cared for by OHANA’s experienced crew of eight. All staterooms all feature en-suites and are lavishly decorating in keeping with the interior décor of OHANA.

Chef Nikolaj’s menus focus on featuring local items in a creative and sophisticated way. This means fresh-farmed eggs, hand picked microgreens, and island-farmed vegetables when available. Local hot sauces, inspired infused flavors and supporting local every chance we get. 

Breads and baked goods are all made in the galley or sourced from local bakeries. He uses organic and high quality ingredients. Ohana supports keeping sustainability a priority when selecting meats and fish for our guests. 

Dietary requirements and preferences can be met with advance notice. We are happy to accommodate everyone from picky eaters to those on medical diets. Most menu options can be served in a gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian or pescetarian modification easily. Certain diets require high-cost provisioning and may be subject to an additional cost. 

Menus and planned meals are subject to change at any time due to remote provisioning restrictions, guest requests, sailing plans or at the chef’s discretion. 

For celebrations requiring special items, themed decoration or large dessert requests, the guests may be asked to take Happy Hour on shore to give the crew time to set up, set the mood, and aim for a beautiful surprise. Please give advance notice for celebration cakes.

Ohana is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure. Powered by 1 x Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots.

Onboard Ohana has a range of toys and accessories to keep you and your guests entertained on the water throughout your stay. Principle among these are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. If you or a member of your party loves diving, then you'll appreciate the dive compressor and diving equipment. In addition there are wakeboards so guests can show off at speed. A Summary of Motor Yacht OHANA

The motor yacht OHANA is a 47 metre 153 (foot) ample composite vessel which was at Admiral Marine Works and designed from the design board of Donald Starkey Designs and Lou Codega and Glenn Bauer. Accommodating 10 passengers and 7 professional crew, motor yacht OHANA was previously called 9; Roxana. The firm of naval architecture which delivered the design details on this ship was Donald Starkey Designs and Lou Codega and Glenn Bauer. In addition, the interior styling is sucessful creation of Donald Starkey Designs/Mario Buatta.

Building & Designing relating to Luxury Yacht OHANA

Donald Starkey Designs was the naval architect firm involved in the technical superyacht design work for OHANA. Her interior design was conceived by Donald Starkey Designs/Mario Buatta. Donald Starkey Designs and Lou Codega and Glenn Bauer is also associated with the yacht general design work for this boat. Created at Admiral Marine Works this vessel was fabricated in the recognised yachting country the United States. She was officially launched in Port Angeles Wa in 1998 before being delivered to the owner. A fairly large area is manifested with a maximum beam (width) of 9.14 m or 30 ft. With a 1.98m (6.5ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly shallow. The material composite was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is created out of composite. In 2005 extra refitting and modernisation was additionally finished.

Powered by two CATERPILLAR diesel engines, OHANA will attain a top speed of 18 knots. Connected to her Caterpillar engine(s) are twin screw propellers. She also has an economical range of 4000 miles when motoring at her cruise speed of 15 knots. Her total HP is 3300 HP and her total Kilowatts are 2428. Regarding thrusters she uses Abt. As for the yacht’s stabalisers she uses Naiad.

Hi Amanda - We did have an epic trip that will provide wonderful memories to all the Family for many, many years.... First and foremost, the entire crew, led by Captain John was spectacular to be around... They fully understood the "family dynamics" (having a 7 year old up to an 83 year old) well and catered to all perfectly... They are a absolutely delightful and experienced team of professionals that went above and beyond to make sure we all had a fantastic experience... Sara would love to have any of the "guys" as Manny's as well. They were so good with the two boys. In addition, Alice may be the best Chef on any yacht! Sara and I have been lucky enough to taste food from the best restaurants and chefs in the world, and Alice is at the top... I am not kidding or being gratuitous.. She is worth her weight in gold, not to mention being a lovely person... The boat was also extremely comfortable and we enjoyed all the toys... We even contributed to dinner a couple of nights through Beck's fishing with a couple of Mahi Mahi, some Snapper and even a Lobster...The weather also turned out to be "goldilocks like", not too cold and not too hot! All in all very pleasant. We also all fell in love with the Exumas.... For Sara and me, the second time. This will not be our last time on the Ohana....Appreciate all your efforts on our behalf!
