Firstly, this is a place for docking boats & putting boats up for the winter. I have no experience with this. It's located directly on the Detroit river. They have a restaurant with gorgeous views of the water. I do believe this place is members only. The food is decent, there are vegetarian options, though not many. They do have fish & chips which is crave-worthy. The coolest thing is summer of 2023 they finished putting in a brand new in ground pool. It is so nice! You can order food from the restaurant and have it brought out to you at the pool. Members can invite friends & family to the pool, who can get in under the members name & member number, if the member is there. The pool has a bit of a landing, so when you step in, it's like a small, shallow splash pad for littles or people who want to sit. There's a bar at the pool, so you can have poolside drinks, and ice cream! The pool in the summer has been 5 stars for us so far. I would rate the food & service at the restaurant with 4 stars. Shout out to server Ronnie who has worked there for several years and takes great care. One additional thing is they often host kids parties for holidays (Christmas they have Santa lunches, Easter, Halloween). These are expensive for members to sign up for, but they put on a very nice buffet style lunch for families and have crafts, gifts, egg hunts, etc for the kids. They also host bands, comedians, and other entertainers. These events also get 5 stars. However please note that the average person cannot afford a membership at this place. If you're lucky enough to have a family member or friend have a membership here I would definitely recommend utilizing it. Be sure to check out the pool!

Great club, excellent food! staff is the best in the area! Lots of great entertainment on many weekends! Highly recommend a membership!
We've been members of FYC since 2014 and love the club. The club has a lot of planned activities that many members participate in. Although we're power boaters the club has various sailing activities/races. Last night we met fellow boaters for drinks at the pavilion, ate a wonderful prime rib dinner in the restraunt, listened to music on the patio and gathered around a fire pit on the beach with friends. Our members have boats of all types and sizes and our club is in a perfect location at the southern tip of Grosse Ile. Come check us out!!! We are a yacht club and not a marina. We have office hours but they are not M-F 9 to 5. If you leave a message you will receive a call back but not on weekends. We love having non members visit our club and I'm curious about the remark about our members being snooty. Something I've never seen.
Ford Yact Club member's at the Cross Dyke for an unplanned afternoon of fun!!
Sun set from Ford Yacht Club's Club's restraunt patio.
Fantastic Club. Great food and great friends. Numerous Club functions with bands and DJ's. The grounds are great and the docks are awesome too. Very proud to be a member of the FYC.
A great club. Very active membership. Super events. Excellant kitchen and bar.
I'm MAD that I even had to put one star. My server was very rude to me and didn't attend to us like we should have been attended to. All the members were very snotty and didn't treat a non member very kindly. Will NOT be returning again. Food was very good though.
We love it! The people are awesome and the venue is gorgeous! Food is great too!
Best view from the clubhouse, great food and some of the friendliest people you will ever meet.
Great club beautiful location friendly people, like many clubs you have to have a sponsor to join that is usually not a problem. New food service 2015 so far very good.
Had a great meal with family recently. Food was fantastic and the service was superb.
Friendly members and wait staff. Excellent food. Love the beautiful view. Always look forward towards activities that go on for adults, kids and families. We always have a great time.
