Luxury Motor yacht SILENT WORLD II was built in 1991 by Christensen Yachts and has gone through a major refit in 2007. She can accommodate 8 guests in 3-4 cabins, has 6 permanent crew and cruises throughout the Caribbean, the Bahamas and New England.

Silent World II’s major refit which was completed in July 2007 included a new open aft deck. Additionally, there is a new flat screen style wheelhouse to give the boat a more modern look. One of the Twin Cabins now has the ability to convert to a double making it ideal for either couples or families. All of the soft goods including the carpet, upholstery, blinds and linens have been replaced.

SILENT WORLD II is a classic yacht that has been updated with unrivaled comfort and style. There are 3 decks to enjoy. The lower aft is perfect for enjoying cocktails or a meal in the shade, the sun deck above is also a great spot for alternative al fresco dining on the large free standing teak dining table, new teak decking and removable South Beach top for shade Just aft of this is the perfect sunning area in the teak lounge chairs. The best view is from the Spa Pool deck, which as iPod fittings so you can listen to your favorite music. On this deck an additional sun pad, and bench seating has been added. The steps into the hot tub are semi-circular with a stainless handrail on each side.

The interior of SILENT WORLD II is stylish yet relaxed. The formal dining room has room for 8 guests and the cuisine will be tailored to your specifications. The main salon provides a perfect movie venue after dinner with comfortable chairs and a 50” plasma TV.

SILENT WORLD II has an excellent range of water sport toys and her crew of six who are fun and enthusiastic and look forward to welcoming you onboard.

Yacht Charter Accommodation

Luxury Motor yacht Silent World II can accommodate 8 guests in 3 fixed staterooms. Her Master Stateroom is midship below deck and has a King bed off center to starboard and a large pull out sofa in a lounge area. The lounge area can convert to a private cabin with ensuite head as the Master has a sliding concealed divider wall. There are 2 large wardrobes one with California style organization and the other a cedar double hanging, luggage locker. The master suite also has a plasma TV, CD, DVD and Satellite. The portside master head has a tub with shower and the starboard master head has a shower and towel warmer. There are 2 additional guest staterooms one a fixed Twin and the remaining Twin can convert into a Double; each of these cabins have cedar closets, ensuite heads, new TV's, CD, DVD and Satellite.

SILENT WORLD II is equipped with a range of Tenders & Toys including: A 30' Intrepid (included at the discretion of the Captain based on weather conditions for safe passages), 20' Caribe 2006 w/ 135 hp, (2) 3 person waverunners 2003, Full fishing gear, Water skis, Wakeboard / donut, 2 x mountain bikes, 2 x 2 person kayaks, snorkel gear + dive gear (rendezvous only), and 2 underwater scooters. Communications on board are a Satcom & cell phone/fax. Internet access/email capacity. 6 Satellite receivers. Audio Visual Equipment includes: A 42' Panasonic Flat Screen, Sony stereo CD + DVD in Salon, 37' Panasonic Flat Screen in Master (w/DVD), Flat screen TV's with DVD in both guest staterooms and Satellite throughout.

The 118.11ft  /36m  Custom motor yacht  ‘Silent World II’  was built in 1991 by Christensen and last refitted in 2007.

Previously named Kakela, her luxurious interior is designed by Ed Monk Yacht Design and her exterior styling is by Apollonio Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering.

Silent World II’s interior layout sleeps up to 8 guests in 3 rooms, including a master suite, She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. Timeless styling, beautiful furnishings and sumptuous seating feature throughout to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.

You’ll enjoy many leisure and entertainment facilities onboard, making her ideal for entertaining friends and family on your charter vacation. There’s plenty of space for enjoying an alfresco lunch or dinner on deck, or simply lounging in the sunshine and working on your tan.

She has a cruising speed of 11 knots, a maximum speed of 14 knots and a range of 2,500nm from her 26,850litre fuel tanks, she is the perfect combination of performance and luxury.

A Jacuzzi on deck is just perfect for relaxing with friends and family, while taking in the breath-taking scenery after a long day of exploration.

40m superyacht Silentworld sold

The 40 metre Astilleros M Cies motor yacht Silentworld , listed for sale with Eugenio Cannarsa and Peter Redford at Fraser , has been sold in an in-house deal with the buyer introduced by Adam Blackmore of Fraser Hong Kong.

Built in 2006 by Astilleros M. Cies to a design by Inigo Echenique , Silentworld is Lloyds classed and sports a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.

A highly popular charter yacht, and one of the largest currently available in the Pacific with repeat charters already booked, Silentworld has been meticulously cared for since delivery with her most recent refit taking place in 2018. Accommodation for up to 12 guests in in six en suite cabins include an owner’s stateroom forward on the main deck and two doubles and two twins on the lower deck. There are also quarters for up to eight crew, including a captain’s cabin aft of the helm station.

Interior design, also by Inigo Echenique, features dark woods and light upholstery throughout. A spacious main saloon features a forward dining area along with a large sitting area with two sofas and two armchairs arranged around a coffee table. A second saloon on the upper deck offers dining space for four and further seating on two sofas. Those with a love of the outdoors are well catered for thanks to a dining area aft on the main deck, al fresco space with sun loungers aft on the upper deck and a large sun deck with a hot tub, sun pads and seating with optional shades.

Silentworld comes complete with a 5.2 metre Valiant tender, 4.5 metre Valiant tender and an 8.5 metre custom Blackwatch tender with capacity for 12 guests. Her extensive toy box includes 10 sets of dive gear, snorkelling equipment, two Seabobs, ski tubes, wakeboards, wakesurfs, a stand-up paddleboard, glass bottom kayak, inflatable and fishing gear.

Powered by twin diesel caterpillar 720hp engines, Silentworld has a top speed of 14 knots with a cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots thanks to her 53,000 litre fuel capacity.

Jonathan Bloomer, the international chairman of Morgan Stanley Bank; his wife Judith, a psychotherapist; Christopher Morvillo, a US lawyer; and his wife Neda, a jewellery designer also died in the sinking. Also killed was the yacht’s chef, Recaldo Thomas, whose body was recovered floating near the wreckage. Four of the victims are feared to have suffocated to death in air bubbles that filled with carbon dioxide, according to their autopsies raising the frightening possibility that they may have been conscious after the yacht sank, according to Italian news outlet La Republica. Fifteen people, including Angela Bacares, Lynch’s wife, survived when they were rescued by a nearby yacht. Mike Lynch’s yacht was ‘unsinkable’, says boss of company who built boat Giovanni Costantino, the chief executive of the Italian Sea Group, said there are no flaws with the design and construction of the Bayesian and it is “one of the safest boats in the world”. The Bayesian, a 184-ft superyacht carrying 22 passengers and crew, was anchored off the port of Porticello, near Palermo, when it disappeared beneath the waves in a matter of minutes after a freak tornado struck. “The ship sank because it took on water, from where investigators will have to say,” Mr Costantino told television news programme TG1. He suggested that the sinking was down to a series of human errors. The CEO said that had the crew shut all doors and hatches, turned on the engine, lifted the anchor, lowered the keel and turned the yacht to face the wind, they would have suffered “zero damage”. He added that data showed it took 16 minutes from when the wind began for it to sink. Cartoisio said the tragedy will be even more painful if the sinking was caused by “behaviours that were not aligned to the responsibilities that everyone needs to take in shipping”. Yachts in your shortlist Watch CBS News Israeli official says Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar can leave Gaza with family and end the war if hostages freed By Elizabeth Palmer September 17, 2024 / 10:07 AM EDT / CBS News Tel Aviv — Gal Hirsch, Israel's coordinator for hostages and the missing, has broadened a cease-fire offer from the Israeli government to Hamas leader Yahyah Sinwar. "I think we will be able to provide safe passage to him, his family, whoever he wants to take with him. If [he wants] to take ten, take ten.  Thousands!  I don't care," Hirsch told CBS News. In return, he said Hamas would have to relinquish control of the Gaza Strip and allow the return of the remaining 101 hostages. "It would be the end of the war, as [the hostages] will be recovered," Hirsch said. Of the remaining 101 hostages currently held by Hamas, Israeli intelligence believes 64 are still alive.  Israel insists both the living and the dead must be returned. Sinwar has not replied to Hirsch's proposal since the Israeli negotiator first floated a more limited version of it last week. The Hamas leader has been in hiding, presumed to be somewhere in the labyrinth of tunnels under Gaza, since the group launched its Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel, killing some 1,200 people, taking about 250 others hostage, and sparking the ongoing war in Gaza . According to Israeli officials, Sinwar was last sighted in a video they say came from a Hamas security camera, recorded just days after the Oct. 7 massacre. The grainy black and white pictures only show him from behind, following his wife and children into a tunnel. Sinwar was named the overall head of Hamas on Aug. 6, about a week after Israel assassinated the group's long-time political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran's capital, Tehran. Sinwar did issue a public message this week, thanking his Houthi allies in Yemen after one of their missiles reached Israel on Sunday. There was no suggestion in his message that he was open to accepting an Israeli offer of safe passage out of Gaza. On the contrary, he signalled that with the help of the Houthis and Hamas' powerful Hezbollah allies in Lebanon, his group was ready to hold out for eventual victory over Israel. "We have prepared ourselves for a prolonged war of attrition that will break the enemy's political will," he said. Hirsch also signalled in his interview with CBS News that there could be some wiggle room in one of Israel's key conditions for a cease-fire agreement with Hamas. Two weeks ago, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was accused by Hamas of suddenly introducing a new term in the negotiations. He was said to have moved a goal post in the drawn-out dialogue, insisting that after the war, Israeli troops would have to remain in the Philadelphi Corridor, the area along Gaza's southern border with Egypt, to make sure Hamas could not smuggle weapons into the Palestinian Territory that way. For Hamas, any enduring Israeli military presence in Gaza has always been a non-starter in the negotiations. Hirsch has now hinted that there could be room for a compromise. "I'm dealing with the hostages and the missing," he said.  "The Philadelphi road is a very important asset for negotiations." Various senior Israeli military figures believe surveillance of the alleged smuggling route could be carried out electronically, with help from international partners, but without Israeli boots on the ground. Asked whether Israel could rely on underground sensors instead of troops to detect smuggling, Hirsch said the details of the IDF deployment – which troops are stationed where – "is part of the negotiation." "The Philadelphi road, the prisoners in Israeli prisons, humanitarian support - these are all assets we can negotiate with to bring our hostages back home," he said.
