After stepping onto the integrated swim platform, you step up to the sundeck via molded steps. Once inside the sundeck, you can walk out either wing door to the side decks and fore deck, step up the molded steps to the flybridge or step down into the salon. In the salon, you will find two electric recliner (2019) and a coffee table to starboard aft, an L-shaped dinette starboard forward, the entertainment center port aft, a loveseat to port and two bar stools and a countertop port forward. Walk forward and step down to find the galley to port, a guest stateroom to starboard, guest head with enclosed shower starboard forward and the VIP stateroom forward. The full beam master stateroom is aft. Engine room access is via a salon sole hatch.

The striking decor and luxurious furnishings include an entertainment group with TV, VCR and stereo, an UltraLeather lounge with luxurious incliner and a solid-surface snack bar. Elegant cherry wood cabinetry and trim add a dash of extra style. Three plush staterooms and two head compartments deliver privacy and comfort.

Accommodations

Bridge :  The generously sized bridge features a wraparound lounge with ample seating for four, plus an adjustable helm seat, two companion swivel chairs, and an ultra-stylish control console that provides abundant space for electronics.

Salon: The full beam Salon is gigantic, due to the additional space created by the 466's raised side decks. Featuring elegant cherry wood cabinetry, her luxurious furnishings include an entertainment group with TV, VCR, and stereo, an ultra-leather lounge with incliners, and a solid-surface snack bar. L-shaped settee to starboard and a sofa the converts to port. Aft to port is the entertainment center. Forward to starboard is the dinette area and opposite the dinette is a bar with a couple of stools.

The VIP Cabin is forward with a center line queen bed, ventilation hatch, hanging lockers port and starboard with storage beneath. Aft to starboard is the enclosed head with vanity, mirror and separate stall shower.

An al-fresco flybridge has been optimized for sun-lovers, though there is also the option to equip this elevated space with a floating hard-top. This teak-lined bridge is actually split between two distinct levels, with a raised forward area featuring a dining table with a wrap-around sofa, a wet-bar station with an optional grill and a centrally positioned helm. The walnut-fascia lined dashboard boasts excellent visibility, hydraulic steering, trim-tab switches, bow and stern thruster controls, a mounted Ritchie compass, hand-held VHF radio, display screens from Garmin, autopilot and space for optional extras like a FLIR camera display. A few steps down leads back to a raised cockpit with a transom sofa and an extra wet-bar with chilled storage and a sink. A set of steps then lead down to a water-level swim platform to stern with a sports lazarette and the opportunity to practice your backstroke in the warm, lapping waters. Out on the foredeck, meanwhile, there are a pair of modular sunpads ideal for taking it easy and working on your summer tan.

The cavernous main-deck salon boasts two tiers of mullioned glazing allowing plenty of natural light into this private space. A restrained and sedate vibe abounds in here thanks to high-gloss cherrywood surrounds, plush carpeting, brushed fiberglass accents and comfortable furnishings in cushioned Ultraleather. There is a sprawling L-shaped lounge sofa to starboard, a twin sofa to port and, further forward, a dining booth with two sofas surrounding a table that can accommodate four hungry guests. Prepare your meals at the walk-in galley where you will discover a serving bar with stools, a three-zone Eurokera hob, Sub-Zero fridge-freezer units, a combination oven, granite-lined countertops and a stainless-steel sink.

To maximize rest space Carver decided to jettison the typical single-level lower-deck and instead craft two huge and entirely separate staterooms at either end of the yacht. The cabin by the bow features porthole glazing, a skylight, a queen-sized bed, two cedar-lined lockers and a capacious en-suite bathroom with a wet-room shower. The full-beam master stateroom to aft includes a transom window, a queen-sized bed, a sofa, plentiful storage and a semi-open bathroom with separate spaces for toilet and shower facilities.

Powered by twin 575HP Caterpillar C9 ACERT diesels as standard, you can also opt for a pair of 575HP Volvo Penta D9 shaft-drives. Expect top speeds to hit 24 knots, while at a cruising speed of approximately 16 knots you can anticipate staying out on the water for days thanks to a vast 480-gallon fuel tank.

"Always Someday" is a 1991 Carver 430 Cockpit Motor Yacht in excellent condition. This boat is powered by reliable twin Cummins 6BT5.9 300hp diesel engines and a Kohler 8kw generator. She has been well-maintained and has extensive service records and manuals. Always Someday has been actively used, averaging 8-10 hours of travel per month over the last three years and covering approximately 2000 miles along the coast of Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. She has also completed the Great Loop and explored the Bahamas.

Recent maintenance includes a 100-hour service completed in June, and a professional diesel technician has performed all engine and genset work. The heat exchangers and aftercoolers were fully serviced in 2021, and BOSCH reconditioned the injectors in the same year. This model of the 1991 Carver 430 was ordered without the lower helm, which allows for a more functional layout with increased galley counter space, a large storage area behind the dinette, and a full-height kitchen pantry.

Always Someday is equipped with practical features such as Bennett automatic trim tabs, a Rocna Vulcan 25 (55 lb.) anchor with a chain/rope combo rode, and a backup fluke anchor with a separate rode stored in the forward lazarette. She also includes a removable St. Croix davit system for engine lifting with mounts at the bow and stern, a custom made in USA St. Clair dinghy davit/cradle (removable when not in use), and a Raritan Elegance one-touch toilet in the master head, along with macerator pumps for both heads. The freshwater flush and local water flush capabilities are switchable. There is an additional freshwater tank under the master cabin bed (approximately 40 gallons).

"Always Someday" features full engine access with four floor hatches spanning the width of the salon, including a quick access hatch for engine fluid fills and strainer cleaning. • Bottom Maintenance: The bottom was done in August 2021, with 80% of the boat's time spent in mostly fresh waters while docked.
• Refrigerator: A new 9.1 CU FT Nova Kool refrigerator with freezer was installed in 2023. This model features a front-vented design that prevents compressor overheating and gives easy access for maintenance.
• Flooring: The boat has been fitted with commercial-grade, water-resistant LVP flooring throughout, replacing the original carpets (2022).
• Plumbing: The forward head shower/sink and all galley plumbing have been upgraded to PEX with SharkBite fittings, including cutoffs under the sink (2022).
• Lighting: The balance of lighting fixtures has been converted to LED throughout the boat.
• Additional Features: Twin USB plugs have been added to the master and guest staterooms, a custom hatch was cut and trimmed in the master bedroom closet for generator access (2023), and a new galley faucet was installed.
