Superyachts have long been known to host some of the richest people in the world, and builders are constantly on the look-out for new ways on how to create the ultimate experience onboard both for charters as well as private owners.

When it comes to swimming pools, what is arguably the center of relaxation on a yacht, there are a few names out there which takes the price for going the extra mile when it comes to kicking back onboard. Let’s have a look at some of the main players for the best superyacht pools in the world!

1. 136m Flying Fox Superyacht Pool

One of the stand-out Superyacht pools within the yachting game is definitely the 12-metre swimming pool onboard 136m Flying Fox, which runs transversely on the Main deck, a first for a superyacht of this size and a technological challenge unlocked.

What the guests will notice is the glass front that can be misted to opaque at the touch of a button, the swim jets at one end and the massage jets at the other, and the height-adjustable floor that means it can offer a deep swim, shallow paddle or even, at full height above the water, a bandstand for parties.

2. 162m Eclipse Superyacht Pool

If the impressive engineering of the Superyacht pool onboard Flying Fox sets her apart, the sheer beauty of its peer onboard Ecplise rightfully earns her the number two spot on our list.

The pool is a vast entertaining space, with 3.2 metre overheads and a retracting glass sunroof. The ambience of the pool is as important as how it looks. You’ve got to want to sit by it. Or dance on it: the blue granite bottom of the pool rises up to sit flush with the deck to create a dance-loor. It can also be lowered a touch to create a paddling pool.

3. 126m Octopus Superyacht Pool

Something that stand with the 126.2 metre Lürssen superyacht Octopus is that she’s an explorer yacht, but with some of the finest features out there. Octopus was built for the late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and is packed with all sorts of treats. Alongside her two helicopters and submarine, a glass-bottom swimming pool can transform into a dancefloor with a nearby bar for drinks served poolside.

4. 107m Lana Superyacht Pool

For our fourth spot, the Italian built beauty Lana takes the spotlight with her elegant, minimal and sophisticated design. She’s the charter yacht of choice for Bill Gates and party guest Jeff Bezos, as well as Beyonce and Jay-Z, 107-metre  Lana  hosts an inviting eight-metre Superyacht pool on her aft deck. AK Yacht’s 85-metre Victorious was launched in April 2021 and, after 14 years in the making. The focus and design of this Superyacht pool comes from the owner’s passion for the water, which is evidenced by the 200-square-metre beach club, which has a counter-current pool, gym, massage room, beauty salon and, of course, a traditional hammam. A great place to lay back for a relaxing afternoon!

11 Amazing Superyacht Swimming Pools That Will Dazzle You

Superyachts are powerful design projects that feature so many amenities as the most complete 5-star luxury hotel in the world. And one of the amenities that we can consider as mandatory in a perfect superyacht is a swimming pool. Basically, no superyacht is complete if it doesn’t have a super pool. Bearing that in mind, CovetED Magazine selected a few impressive examples to inspire you , so take a look at the best and finest 11 superyacht swimming pools spotted at superyachts.

The view on board  Dream’s  forward bar overlooks the massive swimming pool on board the 106.5 metre conversion, which is split across two-levels. The swimming pool has been designed for easy operation and can be emptied into a dump tank in nine minutes, either from the deck or wheelhouse.

#2 NEW SECRET

Stepping into the project 24 months before its scheduled completion,  New Secret ‘s  owners extended the swimming pool on the main deck aft to eight metres long and it is surrounded by sun loungers, armchairs, coffee tables, and a bar.

#3 ELANDESS

The eight-metre sundeck pool contains 22 tonnes of fresh water warmed via waste heat recovery. It has a glass wall for watching grandchildren playing and a skylight at the bottom which sits above the main staircase.  Elandess  won four gongs at the  Boat International Design and Innovation Awards 2019  and was delivered in 2018 by  Abeking and Rasmussen  with exterior and interior design by  Harrison Eidsgaard .

#4 HERE COMES THE SUN

Easy to access, this long and shallow pool on board 83 metre  Here Comes The Sun ends with a swim-up superyacht bar — one of the main attractions of the first  Amels Limited Editions 272 yacht, which was delivered to her Beatles-loving owner in early 2017.

With a glass bottom and glass panels, the pool on the first Sanlorenzo 52 Steel yacht   Seven Sins  plays with transparencies, creating a spectacular effect in the  superyacht beach club  below. Styled inside and out by  Officina Italiana Design ,  Seven Sins  was launched in January 2017 and is the largest yacht from  Sanlorenzo  to date.

At the heart of the entertainment on the top deck, both the swimming pool and the spa pool on the 95 metre  Lürssen  superyacht  Kismet  are kept at the perfect temperature thanks to a generator heat-recovery system. As if that wasn’t enough, there are two further pools in  Kismet ’s spectacular  superyacht spa , including a plunge pool for a refreshing dip after a spell in the hammam.

The deep pool on the main deck of the 74 metre  CRN  custom yacht  Cloud 9  contains 10,000 litres of water projecting wave patterns into the beach club below it. The swimming pool also had an influence on the interior styling by British studio  Winch Design  — a 1.5 metre deep lie-down sofa can be found in the adjacent saloon, which is ideal for relaxing after doing a couple of lengths.

#8 PLVS VLTRA

The large superyacht swimming pool onboard the 74-metre Amels Limited Editions 242 yacht  Plvs Vltra  was one of the owner’s most important requirements. A counter-current system allows guests to get a proper workout, while the adjacent sunloungers and bar area ensure there’s plenty of room for unwinding after a serious swim.

#9 SAVANNAH

When  Feadship   teamed up with  CG Design  to create  Savannah  there was a real focus on fine details, and the swimming pool is a great example of this with an intricate mosaic pattern created on the bottom. Flanked by sunpads and a massive C-shaped wrap of seating, this is an ideal spot to soak up some sun.

The aft deck pool on 69 metre  Tankoa superyacht   Suerte  is particularly impressive. Fed by a waterfall, it holds 8,000 litres of water and features a swim-up cocktail bar so your guests can have their glass topped up without having to get out of the water. Glass panels in the base allow light to filter through to the saloon below.

The  sublimely silent 66 metre ISA superyacht  Okto  has a real party piece — a superyacht swimming pool that can change colour. Measuring 6.5 metres by 4.5 metres, this aft-deck pool features underwater lighting that can switch from blue to red to green at the touch of a button, and a large pane of glass above the name plate means that those relaxing on the bathing platform can also appreciate this stunning effect.

When choosing a yacht to charter or buy, one must consider the facilities and the order of their importance. After all, your watery palace must be fit for a king (and queen), and getting wet and wild is normally high up on the tick list. The sea is great fun for a while, but getting salty all the time isn’t for everyone, which means a Superyacht swimming pool is a must if you’re really going to enjoy your holiday! With this in mind, we’ve put together a list of 6 Superyacht swimming pools, for you to pick your favourite.

M/Y SAVANNAH

We’re a bit biased when it comes to Motor Yacht Savanaah because she’s one of our all-time favourite yachts anyway, but there’s no denying that her pool is absolutely breathtaking. She was built by Feadship in 2015 and designed by CG Design. Every element of this vessel has been created with luxury in mind, and the pool stretches almost the entire length of the aft deck!

If you was to ask us, we’d say she’s a multifunctional dream for any savvy yacht owner!

M/Y ALFA NERO, built by OceanCo in 2007, was one of the first to have a big ‘feature’ superyacht swimming pool, and arguably set the trend in motion. Just Like M/Y Eclipse, it has a raisable floor making it ideal for outside dancing. But also, the perfect helipad. All in all, this yacht has a great pool, space to get your groove on, and a spot for your helicopter.

This 2017 Benetti is one of the loveliest boats to hit the water that year! Her 10m pool is one to be envied. With plenty of space to relax in the sun and take a quick dip to cool off, this spot on the stern sits just in front of the main saloon whose sliding doors give guests the best of being both inside and out. Swimming pools on superyachts are becoming ever more popular and it’s not just the largest superyachts which offer these glorious features. Today shipbuilders are finding innovative ways to include pools on yachts in the 25 - 35 metre categories. The bigger the yacht the bigger pool though, and there are some truly stunning examples out there. From waterfalls and yachts with infinity pools, to swimming pools which can convert into helipads or dancefloors the designs are jaw-dropping. Here we take a look at some of our favourite superyacht swimming pools. 

Our Favourite Indoor/Outdoor Pool: Victorious

The newly launched 85 metre Victorious is home to a 200 square metre beach club, at the heart of which sits a vast heated swimming pool. Whilst it is within the covered beach club, the roof can retract to provide a sunshine-filled al fresco pool at the touch of a button. Decorated with mosaics, the pool also has a swim current for those wanting to do some serious swimming. The classically beautiful Victorious is a shining example of the new breed of explorer yachts, and able to traverse the most remote corners of the globe.

Our Favourite Glass-Bottomed Pool: Excellence

Easily recognized by her heavily reversed bow and impressive use of glass, the 80 metre Excellence does everything on a grand scale, and her swimming pool is no exception. In addition to two Jacuzzis on the owner’s deck and sun deck, the Abeking & Rasmussen yacht features a beautiful main deck swimming pool with a stunning glass bottom which hovers over the beach club below. Perfect for parties or socializing, the pool is surrounded by bar stools and sun loungers.

Our Favourite Swimming Pool/Dancefloor: Octopus

Octopus needs little introduction. The 126.2 metre yacht was built in 2003 for the late Paul Allen and with features including a helipad and helicopter hangars, a submarine, cinema and music recording studio it probably comes as no surprise that the swimming pool is truly astounding. The huge swimming pool on one of the upper decks, which features a glass bottom, can transform into a dancefloor allowing for a day of lounging and relaxing followed by an evening of partying. 

Our Favourite Large Swimming Pool: Luna

When Luna was launched in 2010 she was the largest explorer yacht of all time. Since then her length may have been eclipsed by newcomers, but still holds the crown as having one of the largest superyacht swimming pools. At a whopping 20 metres in length, Luna’s beautiful, partly covered pool takes pride of place on her expansive aft deck and is the perfect place to while away sun-soaked days as she cruises to some of the world’s most astounding superyacht destinations. 

Our Favourite Salt Water Swimming Pool: Pegasus V

Some ingenious designing has created a versatile and unique space within Pegasus Vs huge beach club. While the 78 metre yacht designed by Espen Oeino Naval Architects has six decks – including another spa pool - it is the beach club where we find the huge 12 metre swimming pool. Apart from being a dry dock for the yacht’s custom-built tender, the beach club can be flooded with purified sea water to create a beautiful salt water pool surrounded by a sun lounging area. 

Our Favourite Waterfall: Dragon

A waterfall on a superyacht must be the height of beauty and design, and that’s why we simply love the tranquility of the waterfall cascading into 80 metre-long Dragon’s exquisite pool. Located on the sun deck, the mosaic-lined pool offers guests a covered spa pool under the waterfall, as well as staggering sea views and plenty of lounging areas. Blissful 

Our Favourite Swimming Pool/Helipad: Alfa Nero

Alfa Nero is breathtaking in all ways. The 82 metre long yacht by Oceanco turns heads wherever she goes, and it’s her large, aft deck infinity swimming pool which is one of her most recognizable and impressive features. A glass wall makes up the aft deck, down which water cascades in a true feat of marine engineering. Measuring a staggering 11.6 metres in length, Alfa Nero’s swimming pool has more up its sleeve though as its base can be hydraulically lifted to convert into a helipad or dancefloor. 

Our Favourite Counter-Flow Swimming Pool: Quattroelle

With space at a premium on even the largest superyachts, counter-flow swimming pools allow guests to perfect their technique and get a good workout as they swim against specially designed jets. This 88 metre Lürssen yacht designed by Nuvolari & Lenard was created to offer its owners a truly comfortable and enjoyable space to unwind and enjoy life, and the swimming pool certainly does that. The large spa pool with counter-flow takes pride of place on the aft deck and is surrounded by plenty of lounging areas and offers incredible views from its raised position. 

Our Favourite Small Yacht with a Swimming Pool: Sirena 88 Sports Model by 

It’s not just the largest superyachts in the world which can offer guests a place to cool down. The Sirena 88 Sports model designed by Germán Frers measures 27 metres and offers a delightful foredeck infinity plunge pool. Surrounded by wooden decks and sun lounging spots, it makes for a private and relaxing space on board this flagship Sirena Yacht. 

Our Favourite Main Deck Swimming Pool: Madsummer

Ok, so we actually have a lot of favourite main deck swimming pools, but mention must be made of the elegant pool on ?? metre Madsummer. The sunken pool is truly the centerpiece of the main deck, and offers a covered spa pool area as well as spacious surrounding decks. Able to be viewed from the owner’s deck it makes this one of Lurssen’s most impressive pools. 

Our Favourite Transverse Swimming Pool: Flying Fox

Flying Fox is one of the biggest yachts in the world at a staggering 136 metres in length and 22.5 metres in beam. And it is this wide beam where the swimming pool really stands out, as it is one of the few transverse superyacht pools. Measuring 12 metres across the aft deck, the lrge yet space-saving swimming pool has counter-jets, a height adjustable floor and the infinity-style glass panel can be misted to opaque for more privacy.

The best superyacht hot tubs in the world

Crescent 117.

Found on 35.6 metre Crescent 117 ’s top deck is a grand four-person jetted hot tub. Although it's on the highest level of the superyacht, the hot tub is nestled cosily in a corner - perfect for when the weather’s at its most torrid.

Directly opposite sits a bar and barbecue, so guests can sit back and relax while the drinks are being delivered.

39 metre Flexplorer Aurelia ’s sundeck isn’t referred to in the conventional way, rather, her top deck is affectionately known as “the private Jacuzzi deck”.

The owner wanted it to be a small, exclusive space on top of the boat. “The 130 has a very peculiar layout because they didn’t even want a sundeck – just a small portion open with a Jacuzzi,” said Cantiere delle Marche’s Vasco Buonpensiere. “They created an alcove, a cosy place up there for the two of them, so the crew can’t go there.”

The sundeck aboard this 73 metre Feadship superyacht is the ideal spot for relaxation, and is outfitted more like the interior of a beach house than an outdoor patio. Loungers with optional shading sit aft, while forward is a spa pool with a bar and dining sofa. Designed inside and out by RWD, with space and on board living in mind, Lunasea encapsulates that ‘home away from home’ feeling.

Skat’s standout feature is hard to miss, with the generous Jacuzzi and sun beds sitting forward of the spacious sundeck. Sitting atop this striking vessel, the sundeck draws attention and offers the best seat in the house for watching those sunsets and sunrises. The iconic, military-inspired Lürssen superyacht offers an unexpected calm and clean interior – something you wouldn’t expect from its exterior.

Long considered an essential item on board any proper superyacht, a bubbling spa pool is a sure sign that guests are in for a truly luxurious and relaxing experience. We round up some of the best examples from around the world, starting with the sundeck centrepiece of Andiamo ...

This 47.6 metre Baglietto T-Line yacht boasts a sprawling  superyacht sundeck that measures 140 square metres, offering chaise longues, armchairs, a bar area, games table and dining table. But the star of the show is undoubtedly the 2,200 litre glass-fronted pool, which is continually fed by a closed-circuit waterfall system that circulates water over a sloped pane of glass connected to the hardtop.

Yachts for charter

Delivered by Gulf Craft in March 2017, 47.6 metre Sehamia epitomises luxury living on a superyacht. The central feature of her aft deck is the enormous oval spa pool, which is ingeniously filled by an on-board waterfall. This imaginative design means that, when in use, a curtain of cascading water pours between the saloon and the upper deck on its way to fill the pool, simulating the sounds of a tropical waterfall. Relaxing in the pool therefore creates an effect of synaesthesia, engaging all of the senses for a superior experience. The second hull in the Majesty 155 series, Sehamia can accommodate up to 18 guests plus nine crew members.

When the owner of Polar Star  set about refitting this 63 metre Lürssen explorer yacht at MB92 in 2016, the spa pool was a key priority. Out went the old circular hexagonal tub, to be replaced by a more modern rectangular pool with a glass side that allows the effect of the underwater lighting to be appreciated by guests relaxing nearby.

Most superyacht hot tubs need to be drained when cruising and refilled when moored up, creating inconvenient delays for those looking to take a quick dip. The waiting time is trimmed to just 40 minutes on the 49.6 metre Admiral superyacht Ouranos , whose fast-filling hot tub holds a massive 4,000 litres of water — that's the equivalent of 50 average-sized bath tubs.

Having a great view out from your superyacht spa pool is essential, and guests on board 55 metre Amels yacht Elixir get a view that is hard to beat. With glass panels on all sides, the panoramic vistas from this ideal relaxation spot are impressive to say the least.

This spa pool can also be covered up when shade is needed, and when it’s time for liquid refreshment the backlit onyx bar is only a few steps away. Currently available for charter through Y.CO , Elixir boasts accommodation for 12 guests with a crew of 12 on hand to cater for your every whim.

Pegasus VIII

Jump (literally) from this spectacular octagon-shaped hot tub aboard the 78.60 metre  Royal Denship Pegasus VIII to a nightclub, which accommodates up to 50 guests. Unwind with a glass of bubbly ahead of an evening spent on the raised dancefloor, complete with a smoke machine and two bars – or simply retreat the morning after the night’s dramas. Well, as much drama as you can have while on a near 80 metre superyacht...

Dutch superyacht builder Oceanco is known for building some of the largest and most recognizable superyachts in the world. But what’s not always so obvious (unless you are lucky enough to own or charter an Oceanco-built superyacht) is just how amazing the swimming pools on these superyachts are. And since we’re all still trapped at home thanks to Covid19 restrictions , now seems like the perfect time for a behind-the-scenes view of some Oceanco’s most exclusive superyachts and their pools.

The pool onboard KAOS is a private sanctuary.

The massive swimming pool onboard the 361-foot-long  Kaos  matches fits perfectly within the Lobanov Design exterior and Sorgiovanni Designs interior. In fact, the pool is so large it could be mistaken for rooftop pool on land. And of course, it’s flanked by sumptuous sofas and features a built-in aquarium.

Disney's Yacht Club Resort and Beach Club Resort

In Orlando, there's no shortage of activities, and there's certainly no shortage of pools.

You can find one of the best in Orlando (and in the country) on the grounds of Disney World, shared between two Disney resorts: Disney's Yacht Club and Disney's Beach Club . Called Stormalong Bay, this 3-acre pool complex is basically a water park complete with a trio of leisure pools (including a sand-bottom pool), a 230-foot-long waterslide, a lazy river and an elevated tanning area, proving that not all the Disney magic involves waiting in line for rides.

When we think about incredible pools, our minds don't usually go straight to indoor pools — unless you're familiar with the luxe Four Seasons Philadelphia. There's also a large pool and splash pad for kids, so the hardest thing you have to decide during a lazy day at the Conrad is whether to lounge with your feet in the sand at the beach or spend the afternoon by the pool.

The best hotel pools aren't all massive pool complexes with waterslides and lazy rivers. In New York , you can actually swim on top of a historic hotel designed by Eero Saarinen that harkens back to the golden age of travel. It overlooks planes landing and taking off at New York's JFK airport.

Open all year long (it's heated in the winter), this pool is the perfect place for planespotters to watch the runway or for travelers passing through New York to enjoy a very special stay. High in the hills, the pool offers wooden lounge chairs and lush greenery to complement the stunning California sunsets and sunrises. It's a must-stop at this Marriott Bonvoy property. For food and drink, The Roof offers pool guests a wide range of drinks, including "tropical-inspired cocktails with Southern California flair" and an extensive list of tequilas and mezcals.

When it comes to swimming pools, Disney knows what it's doing — that's why it has two entries on this list. This time, we're looking at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa , one of the most popular hotels in Hawaii, especially for folks traveling with family.

Called the Waikolohe Valley pool area, this resort has something for everyone: pools with ocean views, the kids pool, the main Waikolohe pool, and an 8,200-square-foot zero-entry pool with a waterslide in a volcano. The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa

Another resort with a pool area that doubles as a water park, the Westin Kierland in Scottsdale, Arizona, is the perfect place to take the kids (or kids at heart). You can enjoy a day basking in the sun, splashing in the water and racking up some Marriott Bonvoy points along the way.

At Adventure Water Park, guests can ride a 110-foot waterslide, float along a lazy river or try a surfing simulator that feels more California than Arizona desert. The Resort at Pelican Hill

Perched above a golf course in Newport Beach, California, right by the blue waters of the Pacific, the Resort at Pelican Hill has long been a California favorite. Soon, the resort will transform into a St. Regis property that can be booked through Marriott Bonvoy. At the resort, the saltwater Coliseum Pool is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful pools in the world thanks to its 1.1 million hand-cut glass mosaic tiles, luxury cabanas and ocean views that stretch for miles and miles.

Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa

The heat around Palm Springs can be treacherous, so the best area hotels and resorts have great pools to cool down in. At the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, California, a pool doesn't just mean calmly wading in the water (though that's an option). Rather, this resort offers a water park with a 425-foot lazy river and two 100-foot waterslides, a sand beach, a cliffside hot tub and pools.
