The winds of Tenerife

Mistral (nw).

In Tenerife, the prevailing winds are the northeast trade winds, which blow from the northeast direction and are influenced by the Azores high-pressure system. These trade winds are responsible for the mild and pleasant climate on the island, which is known for its warm and sunny weather year-round. It's important to note that while Tenerife does not experience the Mistral winds, it does have its own unique local winds, such as the Jugo (SE) winds and the Alisios (NE) winds, which play an important role in shaping the island's climate and weather patterns.

The Bora winds in Tenerife, Spain are also known as the "Calima" winds. They are hot, dry winds that blow in from the Sahara desert in Africa, carrying sand and dust with them. These winds can create hazy and dusty conditions in Tenerife, reducing visibility and causing respiratory problems for some people. The Bora winds typically occur in the summer and early autumn months, between June and September, and can last for several days at a time. The winds are caused by high-pressure systems over the Atlantic Ocean, which push the hot, dry air towards the Canary Islands. Despite the negative effects of the Bora winds, they can also have some positive impacts. The hot, dry conditions can be beneficial for crops such as bananas and tomatoes, and the winds can also create ideal conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing in Tenerife. Overall, while the Bora winds can create challenging conditions for residents and visitors to Tenerife, they are a natural phenomenon that is an important part of the island's climate and ecology.

Tramontana (N to NW)

While Tenerife does not experience the Tramontana winds, which are a strong and cold wind that blows from the north to northwest direction in the Catalan and Balearic regions of Spain, it does have its own local winds that influence the island's weather patterns.

The Jugo (SE) winds of Tenerife, Spain, are a type of local wind that occurs on the island of Tenerife, which is part of the Canary Islands. These winds are also known as "Sirocco" or "Levante" winds, and they typically blow from the southeast direction. The Jugo winds are warm and dry, and they can cause a significant increase in temperature and decrease in humidity on the island. They often bring dust and sand from the Sahara Desert, which can make visibility difficult and create hazy conditions. These winds can also cause rough seas and high waves along the eastern and southern coasts of the island. For this reason, the Jugo winds can have an impact on the local fishing and tourism industries. Despite their potential negative effects, the Jugo winds are also appreciated by some locals and visitors for their warm, dry weather and the unique atmospheric conditions they create.

Yes, it's always a good idea to have insurance when you hire a yacht or boat. Insurance can protect you against unexpected expenses or damages that may occur during your charter, such as damage to the yacht, injury to passengers, or loss of personal belongings. SEARADAR offers its own insurance product, the free deposit pack, which allows you to insure 100% of the deposit. This provides an extra layer of protection and peace of mind during your charter.

The qualifications you need to hire a boat or yacht will depend on the country and region where you plan to sail. In Croatia, for example, you are required by law to have a valid sailing license or certificate to operate a yacht or boat. The type of license or certificate you need will depend on the size and type of vessel you plan to operate. If you have a valid sailing license or certificate from your home country, it may be recognized in Croatia. If you don't have a sailing license or certificate, you can hire a skipper to handle the yacht for you.

If your yacht breaks down during your charter, the first thing you should do is to inform us as soon as possible. We will provide you with instructions on what to do next and may send a technician to fix the problem or provide you with a replacement yacht, depending on the severity of the issue.

When hiring a yacht, there are several important factors to consider to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience. Here are some things to keep in mind: Size and Type of Yacht: Consider the size and type of yacht that will best suit your needs. Factors to consider include the number of people in your party, your budget, and your itinerary. Crew: Determine whether you need a crew for your yacht charter. If you are an experienced sailor, you may be able to charter a yacht without a crew. However, if you are new to sailing or want to relax and enjoy the trip, a crewed yacht may be a better option. Itinerary: Plan your itinerary in advance to ensure that you visit the destinations you want to see. Research the area and check the availability of mooring spaces and marinas. Season and Weather: Consider the season and weather when planning your trip. Summer is the most popular season for yacht charter in many destinations, but it may be crowded and more expensive. Be aware of weather conditions and avoid sailing in bad weather. Budget: Set a budget for your yacht charter and be aware of additional costs, such as fuel, mooring fees, and food and drink expenses. Choose a yacht that fits within your budget and consider booking in advance to get the best deals. Safety: Make sure that the yacht you hire is properly equipped with safety equipment, such as life jackets, flares, and a first aid kit. Be aware of safety regulations and follow the rules of the sea.

Yes, indicate your request in the comments to the order, and we will give you a deferred payment by placing the yacht on reserve for you.

Yacht charters are available for any period. But there are generally accepted rules. For example, sailing yachts are most often rented weekly: Saturday to Saturday. You can charter for 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, etc.

You can rent a yacht with a captain who will take care of all the issues related to the yacht's management. Simply choose this option in the extras. All you need to do is get with your friends together, bring all the essentials and embark on an exciting yacht trip! It's easier than you think, even if it's the first charter you've ever been on!

Our services are absolutely free for you. We don't charge any commissions or extra fees to our customers.

There are several reasons why you should consider booking a yacht with SEARADAR: Over 500 satisfied customers worldwide: SEARADAR has a proven track record of providing high-quality yacht charter services, with many satisfied customers from around the world. Modern, high-tech startup: SEARADAR was founded in 2017 and has since grown into a modern, high-tech startup. Our team of 50+ people works in office and remotely from over 10 countries, which allows us to provide a high level of customer service and support. Experienced sailors: Our founders and many team members are experienced sailors, which means we understand what skippers need and we speak the same language. This allows us to provide personalized service and advice to our customers. Exclusive agreements: We work with practically all the world's charter companies and have exclusive agreements and conditions with many of them. This means we can offer our customers the best selection of yachts at the most competitive prices. Rigorous selection process: During the selection process, we analyze over 30,000 boats from all available market databases, calculate quality metrics, and check yacht availability in options. This allows us to provide our customers with a carefully curated selection of the most suitable yachts. Experienced experts: A team of experienced experts analyzes your request and, using specifically designed software, creates a selection of the most suitable yachts for you. This ensures that you get the yacht that best meets your needs and preferences. Insurance product: SEARADAR has its own insurance product, free deposit pack, which allows you to insure 100% of the deposit. This provides peace of mind and protects you against any unexpected expenses or damages.

The cost of renting a sailboat or catamaran in Spain can vary depending on a number of factors, including the type of boat, its size, the time of year, and the rental company. On average, you can expect to pay anywhere from €500 to €2,500 or more per week for a sailboat or catamaran rental in Spain. It's always best to compare prices from multiple rental companies and to book in advance to ensure availability and to get the best possible rate. Additionally, don't forget to factor in additional costs such as fuel, insurance, and any additional equipment or services you may need during your trip.

The visa requirements for Spain depend on your nationality and the purpose and length of your stay. If you are a citizen of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland, you do not need a visa to enter Spain. Citizens of some countries, such as the United States, Canada, Australia, and Japan, can visit Spain for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa, as long as the purpose of their visit is tourism or business. If you are not sure whether you need a visa to visit Spain, you should check with the Spanish embassy or consulate in your country or visit the website of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Yes, it is common practice to pay a deposit when hiring a yacht in Spain. The amount of the deposit may vary depending on the size and value of the yacht, as well as the length of the charter. It is typically around 30% of the total cost of the charter, but this can vary depending on the specific terms of the charter agreement. The deposit is usually paid in advance to secure the booking, and the remaining balance is paid closer to the charter start date.

Free Deposit Pack

With FDP (Free Deposit Pack), you have the chance to avoid a full security deposit and lock in your funds. Just pay 20% upfront (non-refundable), and experience a hassle-free journey. * The price of the FDP rises to 25% if booked less than 30 days before the charter.

four seasons yachting tenerife

Four Seasons , together with luxury yachting company Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd, Joint Owner/Operator, Four Seasons Yachts, and venerated Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, continues to chart a new course of luxury at sea. As momentum builds towards the inaugural season of Four Seasons Yachts , the first 10 unique voyages are unveiled, each inviting travellers to make the iconic islands and hidden gems of the Caribbean and Mediterranean their playground, with meticulously designed suites that guests will call home along the journey.

“We are excited to showcase the breathtaking destinations and world-class design awaiting guests aboard Four Seasons Yachts as we approach our inaugural season in 2026,” says Alejandro Reynal , President and Chief Executive Officer, Four Seasons. “At Four Seasons, guest-centricity has always been the foundation of our luxury service offering and our exceptional Yacht will extend this approach to the seas. Our teams are dedicated to innovating and delivering genuine service, ensuring each journey is defined by comfort, elegance, and personalization, setting a new standard for luxury hospitality experiences at sea.”

A Journey Across Crystal Clear Caribbean Waters   and Magnificent Mediterranean Seas

In its debut year, Four Seasons Yachts will explore more than 130 distinct destinations across over 30 countries and territories. All itineraries are crafted with flexibility in mind, allowing guests to tailor their own adventure as they explore beyond the familiar. The team curating each itinerary understands the nuances of these locales, ensuring each experience is truly extraordinary. Enhancing itineraries are customizable with pre-and-post hotel and overland programs at beloved Four Seasons hotels and resorts.

The first Four Seasons Yacht, currently under construction in Ancona, Italy, will travel westbound as part of its repositioning and will welcome guests to set sail amid the serene turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea from January to March 2026. The first Caribbean itineraries feature seven nights of exploration through the most exciting yachting destinations including Saint Barthélemy (St Barths), Nevis, the Grenadines, St Lucia, Barbados, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Curaçao and Aruba. Destination highlights include indulging in the dazzling nightlife of St Barths, discovering Martinique’s volcanic coral reefs and lush rainforest landscapes, a marina day in St Lucia’s Tobago Cays, and much more.

With more destinations and details to be unveiled in the coming months, the first  Grand Mediterranean  voyages will begin in March 2026 and will include sailings through Croatia, Gibraltar, Montenegro, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Türkiye. The Mediterranean itinerary will also highlight the Greek Isles , with stops in Athens, Ios, Santorini, Milos, and more. Guests will explore under-the-radar islands steeped in culture and history, offering a variety of experiences that go above and beyond the ordinary of Mediterranean sailings.

Bespoke Suite Designs Focused on Comfort, Connection and Care

In collaboration with Tillberg Design of Sweden and the Yacht’s Creative Director, Prosper Assouline, the Yacht’s suite design embodies the essence of intuitive luxury, each a sanctuary of tranquillity with panoramic views, elegant interiors, thoughtful details and a residential feel that creates the sense of a welcoming home at sea.

"Our goal was to craft an environment that feels both familiar and extraordinary, with warm hues and open designs. We are creating an inviting, welcoming environment that reflects the same feeling one experiences at a Four Seasons hotel or resort," says Fredrik Johannson, Partner and Executive Director of Tillberg Design of Sweden. “At the same time, we are designing a look and feel that is unique to this project, creating an elegant yet simple interior that stands out on its own, while blending beautifully with the majestic seas that will surround it.”

With 50% more living space per guest than currently available with any competitor at sea, all suites will offer floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing sweeping sea views, double vanity bathrooms with spacious showers and closets, expansive private terraces, and dynamic use of space and light.

The Yacht’s extensive network of adjoining suites will feature an innovative system that connects accommodations with modular walls, offering numerous options of vertical and horizontal combinations within the signature suites. This versatility will unlock more than 100 different connection options and the unique opportunity to reserve an entire side of a deck, perfect for those travelling with family, friends, or larger groups. For example, this one-of-a-kind design will allow for more than 13,000 square feet (1,200 square metres) of total living space.

A New Suite Standard: Funnel and Loft Suites

The largest accommodations are seven signature suites ranging from 2,981 to 9,975 square feet (277 to 927 square metres) of indoor and outdoor living space. They offer two to three bedrooms, separate living rooms, indoor and outdoor dining space, splash pools, outdoor showers, and the option to connect to additional suites.

The premier signature suite accommodations – the Funnel and Loft Suites – both feature three bedrooms, outdoor showers, and splash pools. The largest on board, the Funnel Suite, housed within the Yacht’s glass-enclosed funnel, is 9,975 square feet (927 square metres), spanning four levels of living space. The suite’s towering floor-to-ceiling wraparound windows, made up of the largest contiguous piece of glass at sea, is a one-of-a-kind engineering feat offering stunning 280-degree panoramic views. The Loft Suite is 7,952 square feet (739 square metres) and can accommodate large group sizes of up to 20 people by connecting with seven additional suites, the largest number of connecting suites available.

When exploring beyond the comforts of their stunning suites, guests can enjoy 11 dining options, spa and wellness offerings, a state-of-the-art transverse marina, and the stern pool, set to be one of the largest in the industry at nearly 19 metres long and 5 metres wide (65 feet long and 18 feet wide). Its unique hydraulic lift design will allow the pool deck to level out, creating an expansive outdoor space for weddings, celebrations and other events.

Four Seasons Yachts will redefine luxury at sea with its all-suite, residential style product, best in class design and the brand’s renowned service and care delivered through a 1:1 guest-to-staff ratio.

This Highly Anticipated Luxury Cruise Line Just Revealed Its Inaugural Itineraries — Plus a Peek Inside Its 95 Luxe Suites

In 2026, Four Seasons Yachts will sail to more than 130 destinations.

four seasons yachting tenerife

Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd, Joint Owner/Operator Four Seasons Yachts

As we're just two short years from the debut of Four Seasons Yachts , it's time to take a look at where the first ship in the fleet will be sailing — and it's a dazzling collection of more than 130 destinations throughout the Caribbean and Mediterranean.

From January to March 2026, the first Four Seasons Yacht will sail the Caribbean, visiting such islands as St. Barts, Nevis, the Grenadines, St. Lucia, Barbados, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Curaçao and Aruba. Afterward, it'll make the transatlantic journey to the Mediterranean, traveling through the Greek Isles, the Italian Riviera, and the Adriatic, among other destinations. Each itinerary in both regions can be combined with overland extensions at Four Seasons hotels.

But Four Seasons Yachts hasn't only announced its inaugural itineraries; it's provided a sneak peek inside the first ship's 95 suites, too. Interiors are a collaboration between Tillberg Design of Sweden and Four Seasons Yachts creative director Prosper Assouline.

"Our goal was to craft an environment that feels both familiar and extraordinary, with warm hues and open designs. We are creating an inviting, welcoming environment that reflects the same feeling one experiences at a Four Seasons hotel or resort," Fredrik Johannson, partner and executive director of Tillberg Design of Sweden, said in a statement provided to Travel + Leisure .  “At the same time, we are designing a look and feel that is unique to this project, creating an elegant yet simple interior that stands out on its own, while blending beautifully with the majestic seas that will surround it.”

The suites are enormous, offering 50 percent more living space than any other ship at sea. They'll each feature floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces to give guests sweeping sea and landscape views, wherever they are in the world.

Perhaps most uniquely, the adjoining suites on the ship have modular walls that allow for more than 100 connection options, creating versatile living arrangements for guests' needs. For example, you could combine the entire side of a deck to create a 13,000-square-foot palatial accommodation at sea.

“We are excited to showcase the breathtaking destinations and world-class design awaiting guests aboard Four Seasons Yachts as we approach our inaugural season in 2026,” Alejandro Reynal, Four Seasons president and CEO, said in a statement provided to T+L. “At Four Seasons, guest-centricity has always been the foundation of our luxury service offering and our exceptional Yacht will extend this approach to the seas."

Rates start at $19,900 per suite for a seven-night sailing; bookings are not yet open, but you can register your interest at fourseasonsyachts.com .

FOUR SEASONS YACHTS ITINERARIES

The Mediterranean itinerary will also highlight the Greek Isles, with stops in Athens, Ios, Santorini, Milos, and more. Guests will explore under-the-radar islands steeped in culture and history, offering a variety of experiences that go above and beyond the ordinary of Mediterranean sailings.

FOUR SEASONS YACHTS

FOUR SEASONS YACHTS DESIGN

In collaboration with Tillberg Design of Sweden and the Yacht’s Creative Director, Prosper Assouline, the Yacht’s suite design embodies the essence of intuitive luxury, each a sanctuary of tranquillity with panoramic views, elegant interiors, thoughtful details and a residential feel that creates the sense of a welcoming home at sea.

“Our goal was to craft an environment that feels both familiar and extraordinary, with warm hues and open designs. We are creating an inviting, welcoming environment that reflects the same feeling one experiences at a Four Seasons hotel or resort,” says Fredrik Johannson, Partner and Executive Director of Tillberg Design of Sweden.

FOUR SEASONS YACHTS

FOUR SEASONS YACHTS: FUNNEL & LOFT SUITES

Four Seasons Is Launching a Luxury Yacht in 2025, and It’s as Glamorous as You’d Expect

The arrival of a new Four Seasons will always resound farther than its new neighborhood and this latest addition is no different—except now the whispers extend to the seas.

Four Seasons is taking its award-winning service to the ocean with the launch of Four Seasons Yachts , “appealing to discerning guests looking to reimagine their love of travel by experiencing the splendor of modern sea voyaging," according to a statement. Anticipated to set sail in late 2025, bespoke voyages will carve through the sea to some of the world’s most breathtaking destinations. The vessel will be led and staffed by a dedicated team, with staff outnumbering guests.

A rendering of what the Four Seasons yacht will be.

The first of a fleet of Four Seasons yachts, currently being built in Trieste, Italy , will span 14 decks and include 95 suites. True to Four Seasons fashion, the boat is as polished as they come—each custom-designed suite costs over 4 million to build. With “ultimate privacy, flexibility and spaciousness” in mind, the adaptable joining combinations seamlessly integrated into each suite will create villa-like estates in a nautical residential setting. The floor-to-ceiling windows in each room are all about those unobstructed riviera views, while the generous indoor-outdoor space—by way of an expansive private terrace deck—is the spot for sundowners. Accommodation will start at an average of 581 square feet with the roomiest—a four-level suite named the “Funnel”—offering more than 9,601 square feet and completed with a private splash pool and spa area.

Restaurants, lounges, and bars have been carefully considered, from expertly made coffee to meticulously plated sushi or a glass of Champagne on deck. The yacht will be equipped with a full-service spa, salon, and wellness program, the pool can transform into an outdoor movie theater or event space, and the transverse marina will also make the perfect spot to soak in the sun or dive into the warm waters.

Placing sustainability at its forefront, the vessel will use green energy fuels, zero-emission energy sources, and air emissions far better than international standards. There are further plans to integrate more state-of-the-art green technologies down the line.

Along with Four Seasons, there are a few notable masterminds behind the exciting new venture. World-leading shipbuilding group, Fincantieri, will bring its groundbreaking engineering and technology to craft the finest vessels for Four Seasons Yachts with industry expert Larry Pimentel, and luxury entrepreneurs Nadim Ashi and Philip Levine also heading the project. Lead architects Tillberg Design of Sweden and London-based Martin Brudnizki Design Studio (who’s worked with fly-high places such as Annabel’s and many of London’s best restaurants ) will oversee the exteriors and suite designs, with creative direction from Prosper Assouline.

Since Four Seasons Yachts is still far from its maiden voyage, details on itineraries are still yet to be confirmed but rumors of sun-soaked journeys through the Mediterranean and Caribbean are on the horizon. Costs will vary by individual itineraries and will only be announced once reservations open in the third quarter of 2023.

This isn’t the first time the Toronto-based luxury hospitality group has dipped its toes in the water, having launched Four Seasons Explorer cruises many years ago, and with 124 hotels and resorts already in the portfolio, the new venture “represents the next chapter of its long history of industry-leading innovation, and a milestone moment for the company” says Christian Clerc, President of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

Four Seasons Unveils Initial Renderings of Luxury Yacht

Four Seasons has released the first renderings of the decks and interiors of the Four Seasons Yacht , a 14-deck luxury yacht set to launch by the end of 2025.

The vessel is being built to offer “immersive luxury experiences,” stated Four Seasons President and CEO Alejandro Reynal. “The yacht is a manifestation of this vision and will deliver a world-class Four Seasons experience characterized by the genuine and personalized service that our guests know and love.”

The yacht boasts 95 suites, with the crown jewel being The Funnel Suite : a spacious penthouse that will be one of the largest suites available on any cruise ship. With its four levels and an extensive outdoor terrace, it will provide over 880 square meters of private space for up to six guests. The Funnel Suite will be situated on the highest decks of the ship, ensuring privacy and comfort.

The distinctive feature of the suite’s design is its curved and wraparound glass windows that extend from floor to ceiling, offering sweeping 280-degree views of the sea. The suite will also feature a private pool on the terrace and a dedicated in-suite spa treatment area. Other suites will offer an average of approximately 53 square meters of space and come with a private veranda.

The yacht will also feature stunning public spaces. On the ship’s aft deck, there will be a pool area with sun loungers and a large 20-meter pool that can be quickly filled or emptied, with its floor raised to be level with the deck, providing a versatile space for events such as onboard parties or weddings.

FIFA profiles ten young players to watch at the finals

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ will see 32 teams from across the globe gather in the USA for a blockbuster new tournament. The most successful club sides from each of the six international confederations – AFC, CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL, OFC and UEFA – will battle it out in a bid to be crowned the greatest team on the planet.

The competition will feature an array of established superstars, as well as a host of exceptional young talents out to shine on the big stage. Here, FIFA profiles ten emerging players to watch at the showpiece event

Fidel Ambriz (Monterrey) Fidel Ambriz (Monterrey)

Position: Midfielder Date of birth: 21-03-2003

Ambriz signed for Monterrey from fellow Club World Cup participants Club Leon in August 2024. Still just 21, he has already forged a reputation as one of Mexican football’s most complete midfielders. He was a vital component in the Leon side which lifted the 2022/23 Concacaf Champions League. Ambriz – who won the competition’s Best Young Player award – possesses a varied passing range as well as the capacity to break up opposition attacks with well-timed tackles and interceptions. While he is not a regular scorer, he can also contribute spectacular goals from distance. Ambriz has been capped by Mexico at senior international level.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (Borussia Dortmund) Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (Borussia Dortmund)

Position: Forward Date of birth: 08-08-2004

Bynoe-Gittens joined Dortmund from Manchester City in 2020 – the same year fellow Englishman Jude Bellingham moved to the Bundesliga club. Aged 20, the London-born winger is one year younger than his distinguished countryman and took a little longer to make his mark in Germany. Over the past two seasons, however, Bynoe-Gittens has started to routinely display his rich blend of qualities.

Usually operating from the left wing, his close control and ability to manoeuvre his way out of tight spaces has been particularly eye-catching. A member of England’s U-19 EURO-winning team in 2022, he is a current U-21 international and will have his sights fixed on a senior Three Lions call-up.

One of the stars of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023™, Kaua Elias has gone on to underline his potential with a series of fine displays for Fluminense. Elias’ strength and power has helped him swiftly adapt to the demands of senior football. The teenager boasts an impressive all-round game, with his predatory striking instincts supplemented by his smart movement and link-up play. He scored four times at the U-17 World Cup, including a hat-trick in Brazil’s 9-0 thrashing of New Caledonia.

Endrick (Real Madrid) Endrick (Real Madrid)

Position: Forward Date of birth: 21-07-2006

four seasons yachting tenerife

Real Madrid look to have another superstar on their hands in the explosive young striker. One of the most electrifying talents in world football, the teenager has already established himself in the senior Brazil squad. He has a winning goal against England at Wembley to his name and played in the 2024 Copa America. Endrick racked up 21 goals in 82 appearances for Palmeiras before joining Madrid – and underlined he is a man for the big occasion by netting in his competitive Los Blancos debut at Santiago Bernabeu.

"He's very fast, he can turn with speed in little space, and is very agile in getting himself free," said Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti. "He has something truly special."

Franco Mastantuono (River Plate) Franco Mastantuono (River Plate)

Position: Midfielder Date of birth: 04-08-2007

The youngest player on our list, Mastantuono only celebrated his 17th birthday in August 2024. The preciously talented teenager has wasted no time in making his mark at River Plate, however, notably scoring a stunning free-kick against Sarmiento when he still 16. The classy midfielder can shoot with both power and accuracy and, despite his tender years, is also an impressive physical specimen. A gifted all-round sportsperson, Mastantuono was an exceptional tennis player in his formative years. Now considered one of Argentina’s brightest emerging footballers, he has already represented his country at U-20 level.

Amanallah Memmiche (ES Tunis) Amanallah Memmiche (ES Tunis)

Position: Goalkeeper Date of birth: 20-04-2004

Memmiche played a starring role in ES Tunis’ run to the 2023/24 CAF Champions League final. The goalkeeper was in near unbeatable form throughout the tournament, keeping a remarkable 11 clean sheets in 13 matches. Memmiche, who turned 20 in April 2024, is a dominant presence between the sticks. He commands his penalty box with authority and composure, while his outstanding athleticism helps him pull off improbable saves. A Tunisia U-20 international, Memmiche was called up for his first senior international camp in June.

Rio Nitta (Urawa Red Diamonds) Rio Nitta (Urawa Red Diamonds)

Position: Forward Date of birth: 10-04-2003

Japan youth international Nitta joined Urawa from Austrian side St. Polten in June 2024. Pacy and direct, Nitta is also renowned for his relentless work-rate. His high-octane approach helps set the tone for his team, with defenders constantly forced to be on their guard against his pressing. Nitta showed Urawa fans just what they can expect from him in just his second competitive appearance for the club when he rifled home an unstoppable shot in a J1 League clash with Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. Nitta, who has also enjoyed spells with Sagan Tosu in his homeland and Austrian outfit Wacker Innsbruck, has been capped by Japan at U-20 level.

Savinho (Manchester City) Savinho (Manchester City)

Position: Winger Date of birth: 10-04-2004

four seasons yachting tenerife

Savinho joined Manchester City in July 2024 on the back of an outstanding season in Spain with Girona. Lightning quick and a superb dribbler, the Brazilian winger proved he has the end product to match, scoring nine times and providing ten assists in 37 La Liga matches. He helped the Catalan club to third place, their highest-ever finish in the Spanish top-flight.

Savinho has also made an impressive start to his City career, with coach Pep Guardiola stating his rapid acclimatisation is testament to his character. “He has the personality to be a top player,” Guardiola explained.

Savinho is a full Brazil international and scored his first goal for A Seleção in their 4-1 Copa America win over Paraguay.

Obed Vargas (Seattle Sounders) Obed Vargas (Seattle Sounders)

Position: Midfielder Date of birth: 05-08-2005

Energetic central midfielder Vargas helps the Sounders dictate the tempo of matches with his precision passing and excellent reading of the game. He is one of the youngest players in MLS history, having made his debut aged 15. His football journey to date has not been plain sailing, however, with Vargas forced to spend a significant spell on the sidelines after suffering a stress fracture in his back in 2022. He returned stronger than ever, and Sounders coach Brian Schmetzer has hailed him as a player with a “super high ceiling”.

Born in Alaska, Vargas is of Mexican descent. He represented USA at the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023™ but has since switched his international allegiance to Mexico.

Warren Zaire-Emery (Paris Saint-Germain) Warren Zaire-Emery (Paris Saint-Germain)

Position: Midfielder Date of birth: 08-03-2006

four seasons yachting tenerife

Paris St Germain’s youngest-ever player, Zaire-Emery made his senior debut aged just 16 years and 151 days back in 2022. He has since emerged as a key player for the Ligue 1 giants and was part of France’s UEFA EURO 2024 squad. While he has predominantly been used in a defensive midfield role, his vast array of attributes suggest he could also thrive in a more advanced position. A powerful runner with excellent technique and high football intelligence, he has been described by PSG coach Luis Enrique as “astonishing”.

“He does everything right - pressure, dribbling, positioning on the field – and he scores and provides goals,” the Spaniard added. “He is the perfect example for all the young players who aspire to be part of PSG.”
