Rhodium is more balanced in its native state on the bracelet. It blends more with the theme of the platinum bezel and looks "in place" with the bracelet, in my opinion. As such, it's not as "loud" as the blue dial. The blue dial is also stunning, the red seconds-hand pops quite a bit.

Regarding the dial, I had the chance to try both colors but not side by side; my impression is that blue dial gives to the watch a more sporty look, while the Rhodium dial makes YM more elegant; so it depends upon what you are looking for and which other watches you own.

As others have said the blue looks great but because it contrasts with the bezel it makes the dial look small and the bezel big, whereas the rhodium is monochromatic. Also be away how much the dial responds to strong light.

Rhodium for me. Love the light blue accents. I love both but went for the blue over the rhodium purely because of the splash of red on the second hand and the Yacht Master text. I wouldn't throw a rhodium model out of bed though ;) By the way, the platinum bezel is the best looking bezel in the whole Rolex collection!

The rhodium dial is very similar if not exactly the same to the 114300 Oyster Perpetual 39mm rhodium dial (which I flipped the watch to fund this Yachtmaster purchase). Similar to this 39mm OP model, at times legibility is an issue for the hands as it takes half a second for the eyes to distinguish them against the darker dial.
Would Lil Yachty rock this Rolex Yacht-Master 40? Who knows, but it's cool

Correct answer is get both. lol I like the Rhodium better. Love both so much, my favorite watch and is a stunner in both colors. While the blue is beautiful I went with the rhodium as the monochrome look was too good and it was just right in all lighting, it gives it a more classy and sophisticated look as well. Definitly the rhodium.

Loved the blue dial until I saw it. The submariner blue is much more interesting IMO. So for this reason, the only yacht master I would get is one of the two variant with black dial. One watch collection, grey dial all the way. Multiple options...the blue is so nice. Slate grey dial for me I must say.
