catamaran sailing sardinia

Yachting in Sardinia is aimed at tourists who want to live a sustainable travel experience, aware of preserving the terrestrial and marine environment. It is, in fact, the alternative to the overbuilding that increasingly covers our coasts, also allowing us to reach those hidden corners of the coast, not reachable by land, but of great charm, while at the same time preserving their value. In 2018, after twenty years of activity in the charter sector, having had the vision of what could have been the growth prospects of the Eco-sustainable Nautical Tourism sector, the company decided to change gear and starting from the choice of a certifying body expert in the tourist accommodation sector (and not nautical) such as CSQA, revolutionizing its processes in an integral way and completely redesigning the operational model of the activity. It is also the first Nautical Hotel accommodation facility in the world to also have ISO 9001 certification.

The company today offers its customers the opportunity to find the right offer for their holiday by directly visiting the Yachting in Sardinia website where 8 different offers are available every day, valid only for 24 hours, for a fleet of boats that are completely similar. and throughout to floating and completely eco-sustainable housing units, equipped with all comforts and divided into categories (exclusive, comfort and standard). The customer on board receives 24-hour assistance, also thanks to the SeaTutor monitoring system, and can count on a dedicated Service Operator, ready to respond to any needs of the guest crew, giving the customer the opportunity to experience the sea in total safety.

Group Y has been investing for years in the technical set-up of its boats: from the massive use of photovoltaics, to the elimination of endothermic generators, from the use of double alternators combined with automotive-derived battery packs, to the use of watermakers, from use of purifiers, up to the revolutionary "zero" impact underwater protective coating: the SeaProtector, which replaces traditional antifouling, not only improving the performance of the hull by reducing fuel consumption, but, being totally free of biocides toxic, avoid releasing any type of harmful substance into the water.

At Borrow A Boat we're on a mission to make boating more accessible and to make it easier for you to get on the water. We believe boating should be available to everyone, and we can help the boating industry, boat owners, marinas, and everyone who wants to go boating by providing a 21st-century boating marketplace. Borrow A Boat is the best place to find and rent boats of all sorts, from a canal and riverboats across Europe to a sailing yacht , motor yacht, and catamarans across North America, the Mediterranean and Caribbean and further afield, along with some of the world's most impressive superyachts and luxury yacht charters .

A smaller alternative than a superyacht charter , catamarans are the fastest growing type of charter yacht at the moment and once you've sailed on one it's easy to see why. In terms of your ideal catamaran charter think of locations like Thailand, the Ionian Islands, BVI (British Virgin Islands), Croatian Adriatic, Ibiza, French riviera and Mallorca for your sailing adventure.

Types of Catamarans Available For Rent Or Charter In Sardinia:

When searching a geographical area on Borrow A Boat you can filter by the below boat types. There is also the option to further filter your searches by price, the number of guests, cabins or bathrooms, what year the catamaran yacht was launched, the boat length and the boat manufacturer.

Types of Catamarans Available:

Catamarans: Luxury catamarans are stable and spacious, with quick sailing performance, and and have been gaining in popularity in recent years. Better for larger groups, they have lots of room for water toys, and are big enough for a little privacy. A catamaran charter is easy and comfortable for novices not used to heeling and are loved by families due to their extra space when compared to a monohull sailing yacht . Typically far more luxurious than a sailboat the larger catamarans have en suite toilets and showers in the cabin as well as ample entertaining space in the saloon and on deck.

Power Catamaran: These motor boat are relatively new but have also been gaining in popularity as the two hulls keep the boat more stable when compared to a monohull. The wider beam also means more deck space and as they don't have sails or a mast, they have a lot more space on deck than a sailing catamaran charter or monohull. For a luxury catamaran charter, consider taking a crewed catamaran charter sailing vacation with an experienced skipper.

Catamaran Sailing Areas In Sardinia

Just to the south of French-administered Corsica and west across the Tyrrhenian Sea from Italy, Sardinia is an island nation with its own language and culture that while very Latin is independent in its own right - like many Mediterranean Sea islands, one which is fiercely independent and proud.

A Sardinia yacht charter will generally focus on northern Sardinia. Centred in Olbia, your catamaran sailing holiday will allow you to explore the stylish and popular Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast) and the neighbouring La Maddalena archipelago that is within sight of Corsica to the north. Immediately to the northwest of the main island are the islands of the Asinara National Park where you can spend time at peace with nature, floating on a turquoise sea in secluded anchorages.

While exploring the Costa Smeralda on your sailing holiday you will be able to visit secluded coves with high wooded cliffs and find your very own beautiful beach to enjoy sometimes in solitude. A sailing trip around Sardinia is more like a French Riviera sailing holiday than one to a far off desert island! A yacht charter Sardinia is as much about the people as it is the sailing. Sardinian cuisine is like the Sardo speaking locals both of the style of the Mediterranean but unique in its own right. Expect great nightlife, Latin flair and style as you enjoy this island nation to its fullest.

Crewed Catamaran Charter or Bareboat:

When it comes to a Sardinia catamaran charter you typically have two choices - bareboat charter or crewed yacht charter.

When using Borrow A Boat you can filter all catamaran searches to be with or without skipper depending on what charter yachts you are looking for and below we cover some of the main points to consider for your catamaran hire.

Crewed catamaran: You can do a crewed or skippered boat charter in Sardinia. This form of luxury yacht charter gives you the advantage of being able to get afloat without having to invest in getting sailing qualifications beforehand. For a skippered luxury charter yacht you will pay a fixed fee for the crew and skipper as well as their food and a tip at the end.

When you get to a luxury yacht charter with crew these prices will increase and costs also depend on where you plan to sail to along with the size and type of yacht rental on your sailing holiday.

In some cases, skippers will also be the boat owner (typically day charter) which means they will know all the best - secluded beaches to show you the best that the area has to offer with their local knowledge.

For day trips you will often be able to use a skipper as well and prices will vary depending on the type of charter yacht.

Bareboat Catamaran Charter: For skilled sailors, a bareboat charter is cheaper and gives more privacy for you and your charter guests. Many sailors prefer to be helming the luxury charter yacht while choosing their own course on their sailing trip, and provided you have the knowledge and relevant qualifications you can skipper these boats yourself.

Do You Need A Licence To Charter A Catamaran In Sardinia

If you are on a crewed Sardinia catamaran charter you do not need a license to sail - you can just turn up at the marinaand go.

You do need a license if you are on a bareboat yacht charter and in some countries a day skipper or ICC may not be enough for boats over 45 feet in length, you will need to check with the charter agent but here are some examples of typical sailing qualifications that will allow you to charter in most countries:

International Certificate of Competence: This is issued on request by your European sailing authority and you should automatically qualify with certain national sailing qualifications.

RYA Qualifications: If you have the following qualifications you will typically be able to take a bareboat charter out of Thailand (but it is worth checking as per above), these include Day Skipper , Coastal Skipper ( *sail or motor endorsement) or Yachtmaster.

American Sailing Association (ASA): The ASA 104 Bareboat certificate is commonly accepted but also check as per above

US Sailing: The International Proficiency Certificate is widely accepted and The Bareboat Cruising Certificate is also accepted in many cases.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should i consider when hiring a catamaran.

The main points to consider are what is your budget, have you got the necessary sailing experience and qualifications to manage the boat if it's not going to have a skipper, whom you are taking sailing, where exactly you wish to go and what will the weather be like on the proposed dates of your trip.

Do you have to pay a deposit when hiring a Catamaran in Sardinia?

You will typically pay 50% up front on booking the catamaran hire and the balance on arrival. You will either pay a security deposit with your credit card on departure or can get insurance covering damage in advance. In some cases (such as the recent Covid situation) charter companies may be more flexible but this depends on the individual charter companies themselves.

What happens if my Catamaran breaks down?

If you are at sea and in danger, call MAYDAY on VHF Ch16 or ring the coast guard on your phone if you have reception. If you have a mechanical fault and can make it to or are on a mooring you will be able to phone a help line number given by the boat charter company and they can typically send someone from the charter base

What should I think of before I hire a Catamaran in Sardinia?

You should consider do you have the experience to handle the catamaran before you book and where do you want to go along with what the weather will be like. Bring warm weather and cool weather clothing if it looks like the weather can be cool as well as warm and remember at sea it can be cool in the evenings.

What Qualifications Do I need to hire a Catamaran?

If you want to sail without a skipper then you will need relevant qualifications like RYA Day Skipper/International Certificate of Competence (ICC)/ASA 104 Bareboat certificate or the US Sailing Certificate. If you choose to have a skipper on board your catamaran you won't require licences.

SARDINIA IN CATAMARAN

"one day it happened that my life grew gloomy, and, fleeing to bright peace, i left for the island where the wind makes landscape. it was an enchantment.", gaston vuillier, catamaran charter in sardinia.

I have been sailing the sea since I was a child, and I can guarantee you that around the world you will not find clearer water than that the one in North Sardinia. It ranges from dazzling azur to deep blue, via the emerald green that gives its name to this magnificent stretch of sea, the Emerald Coast , perfect for a sailing vacation.

Not to be missed is the tour of the renowed Maddalena Archipelago , while it is possible to push southward to Tavolara , or westward by heading over Asinara Island .

Our base is within the Marina of Portisco , in the heart of the Emerald Coast and just a twenty-minute drive from Olbia airport.

Catamaran Charter Sardinia

Maddalena Archipelago

A catamaran vacation in Sardinia around Maddalena Archipelago is a sailing lover's dream, so much so that the area is home to numerous sailing schools. The wind playfully wedges between the 60 islands, shaping the rocks into the strangest shapes through millennia of erosion.

The archipelago was promoted to a national park in 1994 to protect the incredible natural environment that is home to more than 1,000 animal and plant species.

Catamaran Charter in La Maddalena

Spargi, Budelli, Rizzoli and Santa Maria

Renting one of our catamarans you will embark from Santa Teresa di Gallura , a beautiful little harbor wedged into a deep fjord that backs it from all winds.

Only an hour's sailing away awaits the wild Spargi Island , an unspoiled paradise dotted with tiny sandy coves. Prominent are the enchanting Cala Corsara  (2), in which wind-smoothed rocks take on the most diverse forms, Cala Granara on the shore of which a cute little wild pig lives, and the Love Beach With very fine sand with pinkish highlights.

A little further north on the island of Budelli , you will find the world-famous Pink Beach (3), among the most spectacular in Sardinia, which owes its name to billions of tiny bioclasts that give it this distinctive color. Unfortunately, mass tourism has largely deprived it of the pink hue, making it necessary to close it to the public. Behind the bay lives Mauro da Budelli, the friendly janitor and the island's only inhabitant for 40 years.

On the island of Razzoli we will stop in the lonely Cala Lunga , at the bottom of a fjord more than a mile deep, while on the adjacent island of Santa Maria we will anchor the catamaran in the bay of the same name with a large sandy beach.

The body of water between the three islands is called the Porto Madonna (4), a true paradise with clear water and a breathtaking scenery that will catapult you to a distant world.

Catamaran charter in Budelli, Sardinia

La Maddalena, Santo Stefano and Caprera

Your Maddalena  (9) is the largest island in the archipelago of the same name, as well as the only one with a real settlement. The town was founded in 1770, and its cobblestone streets are lined with elegant mansions full of trendy bars and boutique shopping.Stopping in the quaint little harbor will be a welcome change of scenery after a full sailing day. The rest of the island is no less beautiful, thanks to Cala Francese , overlooking an ancient granite quarry, the equipped beach of Stagno Torto , and the thousand shades of blue that lap the islet of Giardinelli (5).

Santo Stefano is a small island to the south of the country, once entirely devoted to military activities. Here in the lonely Villamarina Cove , in the midst of the maquis you will find a huge granite bust of Costanzo Ciano, a peculiar relic abandoned since the years of fascism.

The island of Caprera is such a concentration of pristine beauty that it was chosen as the last home by Giuseppe Garibaldi, the hero of two worlds, until the day of his death on June 2, 1882. The Garibaldi Compendium preserves its remains and has been converted to a very interesting museum.

Here dozens of small beaches would make any sea lover fall in love with the island: the most famous is Cala Coticcio (6), nicknamed by locals "Tahiti beach" for the incredible turquoise water. On the western side we anchor the catamaran at Cala Napoletana , collected and solitary, and in the large bay of Cala Garibaldi . Then again to  Cala Portese or of the two seas (7), where water laps both sides of the inlet, and at Porto Palma  (8), home of the historic Centro Velico Caprera, Italy's oldest sailing school.

catamaran sailing sardinia

Gulf of Olbia and Tavolara

Continuing southward we bypass the steep Cape Figari , from the top of which Guglielmo Marconi made the first experiments on radio transmissions, to find ourselves in the Gulf of Olbia dotted with many coves, such as the spectacular Moorish Cove covered by a centuries-old pine forest.

On the bow of our catamaran towers the iconic silhouette of the island of Tavolara , an imposing granite mountain that contrasts beautifully with the bright green of juniper and rosemary. At its base stretches a tongue of fine sand, with the island's only facilities including the restaurant "Da Tonino," goliardically proclaimed king of Tavolara.

Our catamaran vacation continues toward Molara Island , also a protected area for scenic beauty, and its incredible natural pools , a very clear sandy oasis in the northwestern part of the island.

In the Gulf of Olbia, there are not only dreamy beaches, but also quaint little villages in which to refuel, such as Aranci Gulf , a small harbor with colorful houses awash in the scents of fresh fish, and the pretty seaside village Porto San Paolo .

Closing off this stretch of sea is the Capo Coda Cavallo , with its large white beach from which to admire the spectacular scenery of the marine protected area.

Catamaran rental in Sardinia in Tavolara

Asinara and Stintino

The northwest coast of Sardinia offers some of the most beautiful bays on the island, world-renowned for their caribbean-like beauty. The beach La Pelosa in Stintino certainly needs no introduction, thanks to the very long shallow sandy bottom that gives the water a dazzling blue color. Here you will spend hours of relaxing vacation lulled by the sea aboard our catamaran. Next to its big sister rises the island of the Pelosetta from which stands out the iconic aragonese tower 1578.

The national park of Asinara is an unspoiled place where millennial peace reigns. From the verdant hills rises the former maximum-security prison, while all around white donkeys graze, along with wild boar and horses. The western part faces steep cliffs while the eastern coast opens to wonderful sandy coves, such as Cala Oliva , on which rests a pretty village of white cottages, and the spectacular Cala Sabina , reachable only from land as it is an integral reserve.

Among the nearby landings, it is impossible not to mention Castelsardo , voted one of the most beautiful villages in Sardinia. The Doria Castle , built in 1270, is a true architectural spectacle overlooking the Gulf of Asinara. The interior is perfectly preserved, and contains the interesting museum of Mediterranean weaving.

Luxury Catamarans for Charter in Sardinia

Catamarans turn out to be the first choice for  yacht charters   in Sardinia  for their exceptional stability with dual-hulled support. Besides, catamarans are also designed and created for experiencing magnificence with their expansive decks and huge masts. Thanks to its barely-moving waters, the Mediterranean climate is ideal, while faring in the sea can be hugely satisfying for peace-seeking souls. Go for a bareboat catamaran if you enjoy sailing in privacy.

But pay attention, the coastline around Sardinia is also rocky and uneven at places. Hence, our suggestion for a relaxing voyage in this part of the Mediterranean is to hire a crewed catamaran. It will ensure you do not have to worry about navigating, sailing, or maintaining direction. On the other hand, you can also experience the best of Sardinian food with our seasoned chefs while onboard the yacht, along with a host of luxury assistance from the accompanying crew on your  boat in Sardinia .

What is the best way to enjoy Sardinia in  Italy ? The most exciting and relaxing discovery in Sardinia is definitively by sea. Live the charm and unique atmosphere of  South Italy  aboard a  luxury yacht in Sardinia . As it's called in Italian, Sardegna is, after  Sicily  and before enchanting  Cyprus , the second-largest island in the  Mediterranean Sea . Not-to-be-missed during your  yacht charter in Sardinia  are  Corsica and  the Strait of Bonifacio and Tuscany.

The Sardinian waters are known for their clarity and transparency, comparable to the  Caribbean seas . These landscapes are unique globally, and thanks to well-equipped villages and ports, Sardinia is a strategic destination. Sardinia is known for her much-vaunted  Costa Smeralda , legendary with its beautiful white beaches, golf clubs, and nightlife. On the other hand, if you are not looking for an eccentric vacation and prefer to enjoy nature and silence, Sardinia is also for you. You will find semi-deserted spots and beaches that time forgot, despite their fame.

When you rent a yacht in Sardinia, you have to spend at least one day in  Porto Cervo , the gem of the  Costa Smeralda , the port of the most luxurious superyachts of the Mediterranean—definitely the yop high-end yachts on the planet in the charter season from May to September.

Another must in Sardinia is to cruise aboard your yacht's tender to Neptune's Grotto in Alghero. Wherever you navigate in Sardinia, in the East of the West coasts, in the North and the South, you admire natural spectacles, taste gourmet islander food, and have extraordinary sailing experiences.

Most Sardinia yacht charters begin in the popular superyacht marina of Porto Cervo in the north west of the island or nearby Porto Rotondo, a slightly quieter marina compared to its illustrious neighbor. After a short stay here, popular charter itineraries tend to make a beeline north to the beautiful Maddalena Islands where the yacht can spend a day or two in a pretty sheltered anchorage while you and your guests take to the Carribean-blue waters for a spot of diving and snorkeling.

From here, the world’s your oyster. Sardinia has numerous must-see destinations and you will be hard-pushed to fit them all in. From the lush archipelagos of the north to the wild, untamed beaches found in the south west of the island, and from the glamorous superyacht havens on the north east coast where you can indulge your every whim to the rich historical treasures found in the south, you’ll be spoiled for choice.

Another popular option is to set off from the Amalfi Coast on Italy’s mainland or Corsica in the north and then cruise down through the Bonifacio Strait. It’s simple enough to begin your superyacht vacation in a neighboring country before heading to Sardinia. For more advice please speak to your yacht charter broker .

Sample itineraries

Most yacht charters tend to finish in Porto Cervo or Porto Rotondo. As well as the vibrant superyacht lifestyle, these places also offer their own bevy of beautiful beaches and scenic beauty, making these the perfect spots to end your memorable Sardina luxury yacht charter. Alternatively, for longer charters you can finish up in one of the neighboring destinations mentioned above. Speak with your yacht charter broker who can advise you further.

With its A-lister appeal, rich cultural history and bevy of world-class beaches, Sardinia is one of the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean. Therefore, we advise you to book your yacht charter well in advance of your trip to secure your perfect yacht on your preferred dates. If you leave it too late, the selection of yachts at your disposal will be reduced and you may not be able to explore the destinations you have your heart set on. Plus, finding dates when everyone in your charter party is available can be tricky; the longer you leave it, the more challenging it will be.

High cliffs of Mediterranean coast, "Pan di Zucchero" stack rock in Masua, west coast of Sardinia, Italy. Concali su terrainu a limestone formation in southern Sardinia, Italy.

Your yacht charter broker will also need plenty of time to tailor an itinerary to suit you, and enough time to book ahead for the nights you wish to spend in marinas. We recommend booking up to 3 months in advance to give your broker the optimum time to organize everything down to the last detail.

Sardinia Yacht Charter Q&A

Some important things to consider before booking your yacht;

  • Marinas tend to get quite busy during peak summer months, so you need to consider that when deciding on what night's you wish to spend in a slip. Ideally, find a yacht that is comfortable with ample leisure and entertainment facilities onboard.
  • Mistrals are quite common during the shoulder months of May and October, so check with your charter broker about the best anchorages and itineraries if you intend on traveling during these months.
  • You should also be aware that certain zones in Sardinia's waters are restricted to protect the sea grass, which may impact on where you anchor the yacht. This is something you can discuss with your yacht broker, or yacht captain when deciding on your itinerary.

Due to its popularity during the Mediterranean Season, there should be a wide selection of yachts to choose from, so there is sure to be something that suits both you and your budget.

Why not visit our yacht charter fleet page for a comprehensive look at all yachts available for charter around Sardinia .

Alternatively, you can reach out to your preferred yacht broker , who will be sure to help you find your perfect yacht and itinerary around the dates that suit both you and your guests.

The optimum time for yacht charters in Sardinia is between June and September, with average temperatures in the mid to high 20s, clear blue seas and endless days of glorious sunshine.

You should note that Sardinia's peak season is in July and August, so expect both higher charter fees and crowded marinas during these months.

Most Sardinia yacht charters begin in the glamorous superyacht marina of Porto Cervo in the north west of the island, with popular charter itineraries including the breathtaking Maddalena archipelago, the pretty sheltered anchorages and charming villages found along Sardinia's east coast  and the island's capital Cagliari, awash with historical treasures and rich cultural heritage.

The island is also renowned for its protected marine reserves and beautiful clear waters where snorkeling and diving are the favorite activities for yacht charters. where the yacht can spend a day or two in a pretty sheltered anchorage while you and your guests take to the Carribean-blue waters for a spot of diving and snorkeling.

Another option is to begin your yacht charter on Italy's west coast only a short hop across the Tyrrhenian Sea. Alternatively, charters can begin on the spellbindingly rugged island of Croatia in the north, separated only by a narrow strait famed for its sailing.

Once you have decided on your perfect yacht, your yacht broker will then draw up the necessary contract; a legally binding agreement between you and the owner of the yacht. At this point, based on the type of contract, you will be required to pay 50% of the cost of the yacht up front, with an additional 25-30% of this base rate to cover additional expenses you and your guests are expected to incur whilst on charter.

For more information about the costs of chartering a yacht, please read our helpful guide: Yacht Charter Costs Explained , which describes the fee structure in more detail.

First of all, the boat Sella3 was immaculate with very up to date technology. The Skipper (and owner) Andrea was brilliant! He chose routes that optimised our opportunities to sail (as opposed to motor) that always ended in the most beautiful bays for swimming and snorkelling. Our hostess (Emma) produced wonderful meals and saw to our every need! This was a holiday of a lifetime!

Fantastic experience chartering out of Golfo Aranci. It’s so relaxed and with less stress. You’re also immediately on your holiday as it’s a good hour north out of Olbia. Most importantly the boats were brand new and Roberto and his Barcando team were super nice and helpful. Such a great experience compared to some of the bigger harbour charter bases. Aranci is also lovely for your last night.

The community's advice on the destination

Noleggio catamarani in Sardegna, Italia

Rent a catamaran and sail along the most beautiful beaches of the island. A great example is Torre Di Pixinni beach, you can easily reach this beach by boat. There you can relax as it is one of the quietest beaches on the island. Another great idea is to sail to Sant'Antico and visit the Lunga cove. A secluded spot with soft white sand and crystal clear water.

If sailing is your thing you can charter a sailboat and create a seven-day itinerary. You can sail all over the island visiting the most important cities like Alghero, Olbia and Notter. All these cities have an interesting history and beautiful beaches to enjoy with your group of friends. If you want to sail further, you can sail to the north, where you will find the island of Corsica or to the west, where you will find the Balearic Islands.

How much does it cost to rent a catamaran in Sardinia, Italy?

If you want to rent a catamaran in Sardinia, the average price will be around 300 euros per day during the low season. Prices may increase during the high season, be aware that the high season months in Sardinia are from June to the end of August. If you want to rent a boat during these months, we recommend you to look two months in advance and start the rental process as soon as possible.

Do you need a license to rent a catamaran in Sardinia, Italy?

  .

If you want to rent a catamaran, you will require an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) and a nautical curriculum showing you previous sailing experiences.

If you don’t have a licence or sailing experience, you can rent a boat with a captain. Having a captain is great because they know the region well. Ask them for suggestions on local restaurants or places to go.

Sardinia yacht and catamaran charter

Sailing from Sardinia

Sardinia is right in the middle of the Mediterranean, but sailing around it can sometimes feel like you're in the Caribbean - everywhere you look there are outstanding white sandy beaches, emerald blue seas, and largely undeveloped coastlines with rugged cliffs and lush vegetation. The nearby Maddalena islands - once a naval base for Lord Admiral Nelson - are now both a nature reserve and a UNESCO world heritage site (and a stunning place to cruise around).

The 'Emerald coast' or Costa Smeralda has long been popular with the glitterati, the rich and famous, which has seen the whole coast flourish with expensive villas, superyachts and luxury goods stores, but the area has been a well kept secret by Italian sailors, who come here en-masse during the peak season. With the fine weather, reliable winds, exciting and tranquil sailing, stunning scenery, and the fact that there is so much to explore, Sardinia really is an exceptional and memorable place to sail. We can help you find and book your ideal yacht or catamaran, with one of our trusted Charter Partners - just get in touch or search in the pink box with live prices and availability !

Must See if you're Sailing from Sardinia

SAILING RATING:  Intermediate - Italy offers more exciting sailing conditions than Greece and Croatia, but there are some places where it's useful (and a lot cheaper) to be comfortable using the anchor.  Peak season is July & August, but you can sail here from March to October.

MUST-SEE:  Our full suggested itinerary is further down the page, but we'd highly recommend taking in the stunning coastline of the Costa Smeralda , the natural wonders of the Maddalena , and the incredible cliff-top village of Bonifacio .

WHAT WE CAN OFFER:  We have a great range of yachts and catamarans available for charter from our trusted Charter Partners, all available bareboat or Skippered. We can also arrange a Hostess, Personal Chef and other crew.

GETTING THERE:  The Marina is c. 30 minutes from Olbia airport. We can organise transfers for you - a 4 person taxi is c. €80.

WHY BOOK WITH US?  We only work with the very best professional charter operators , who we have met, know, and trust to give you the same outstanding customer service as you'll get from PlainSailing.com.

WHAT NEXT?  Use the pink box to search for yachts or catamarans with LIVE pricing & availability - if you have any other questions or requests, get in touch via Live Chat, the Contact Form , or by phone.

6-day Sailing Itinerary from Sardinia

Our bases in the north of Sardinina, in Portisco are Cannigione, are ideal starting points for heading northwards to the Maddalena islands - an area of natural beauty which is now both a nature reserve and a UNESCO world heritage site. The white sandy beaches, turquoise blue seas, rugged cliffs, lush vegetation, and minimal development of the islands means that they are beautiful and tranquil places to sail, with most of the best beaches only reachable by boat - indeed, only two of the 162 Maddalena islands have roads, and only three are inhabited.

Within the islands, the historic town of La Maddelena has a delightful old town to wander and admire, there's rugged granite at Spargi, a famous pink beach on Budelli, and Caprera was once where they imprisoned the Italian General Garibaldi - he liked his prison so much that he returned to the island upon retirement and spent the rest of his days there. The islands are opposite the Costa Smeralda - one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world, and which is popular with the rich and famous, many of whom have multi-million pound villas or superyachts here. Porto Cervo is the place to go if you're interested in celeb-spotting or buying luxury designer goods.

Sardinia - 6 day Sailing itinerary

This itinerary covers 112 nautical miles from Portisco (less if you follow this route from Cannigione), with an average of just under 20 nautical miles a day. A yacht can sail at an average of 5-6 knots (nautical miles an hour), which means that you should only need to be doing 4-5 hours of meaningful sailing each day, leaving plenty of time to explore your start or end points in more detail, to take a plunge at some beaches as you sail by, to stop for lunch properly somewhere, and generally to just take things easy at a holiday pace. If you're sailing from Portisco for the week, then the natural choice is to explore the stunning La Maddalena islands. A circumnavigation of the whole island is over 350 nautical miles, so if the plan was to sail around the island in a week, then think again!

Porto Massimo

Our journey today takes us through and into the heart of the Maddalena islands, with a destination of Porto Massimo, which is 17 nautical miles away. From Portisco, head North-east and checking out the gazillion dollar villas and hotels as you bob along the coast to the exclusive town Porto Cervo. Stop for a spot of lunch here and you'll likely see at least a couple A-list celebrities.

Heading North, we'll take the islands on the horizon on our port side, before tucking in to Porto Massimo for the night, which has a small and beautiful marina which their website claims will take your breath away. There's a small town here, a selection of shops, and a very well rated hotel and restaurant. What a place to escape to!

Santa Teresa Gallura

Whilst the finish point is delightful, the highlight of the trip is taking on the Bonifacio strait for the first time. This is a place where the winds are accelerated as they squeeze between the islands of Sardinia and Corsica, which makes for some interesting sailing conditions. In summer, they're usually very passable, and more of a pleasure to sail, whereas in winter, the winds can be so strong as to get dangerous.

Nosing out of Porto Massimo, head north to get beyond La Maddalena island, then it's a case of pointing the nose of the boat pretty much due west, and following the coastline around. Founded by Italian king of kings, Vittorio Emmanuele, in 1808, Santa Teresa is named in honour of one of his wives and is loaded with lavish palaces, fortresses and towers. Its narrow streets now house chic bars, fine dining restaurants, and oustanding places to sit and admire the view.

Isola Rossa

From Santa Teresa Gallura, it's a straightforward south-westerly sail alongside the coast. If the winds are arriving from the Northwest, that's a simple reach across the wind, and you can make the journey in a single tack.

The town of Isola Rossa is actually not an island as the name suggests - it is named after the small island of red granite which sits 500m out to sea from the old town. The area is most famous for the quality of the sea and the vibrant reefs and wildlife which you'll find here: it's supposed to be an exceptional place to snorkel. There's also red granite beaches which look spectacular (but pink), and are given a chilled out vibe by the local surfers. The town itself is only small, but has a good selection of places to eat, and, obviously, has some of the freshest fish imaginable. It is also a great place to watch the sun set.

Bonifacio

We're technically sailing from Italy to France as we head north-east to the southern-most tip of Corsica to a natural marina that has a long and glorious history, but, more importantly, is one of the places that looks even more extraordinary in real-life than it does on the pictures. But keep your camera handy as there are some marvellous shots to be had.

The marina is tucked in-between the cliffs below the cliff-top town. There's been a town in this position since pre-Roman times, and there's an ancient flight of 187 steps which have been cut into the cliff-side to aid the journey from sea to land. It's a pleasant enough hike now, and the views at the top make it worth the effort, but it would be terrible to negotiate the steps with much cargo. Nowadays, there is a tourist train that can save you breaking a sweat, but that would be cheating! Enjoy a night in one of the most memorable marinas in the Med!

La Maddalena

From Bonifacio, we're heading south to nose out of the marina, then south-east, with the wind most likely on our backs, back towards the marine wonderland of the Maddalena Archipalego. If you have time, it's an amazing place to explore, and you don't need to go too far to find your own secluded sun-kissed beach with crystal clear waters. Tonight, our destination is La Maddalena, the capital town of the islands, but that doesn't mean it's a big town.

The Maddalena islands are probably best known for being the training ground for a certain Napoleon Bonaparte - indeed, the first place that the Corsican tried to conquer was the island of Maddalena itself, but he was unsuccesful, and the islands would go on to become the base for Horatio Nelson to lead the rest of Europe against France. The island of Caprera is almost as well-known for being the prison for Giuseppe Garibaldi, who was central to the unification of Italy. He was actually imprisoned in the archipalego, but liked the islands so much that, upon his release, he bought a plot of land here and stayed here happily for the rest of his days.

Portisco

It's not the end just yet, though, and we still have a day of sailing to do. There's only 17 nautical miles back to Portisco, so you can afford to take your time exploring the myriad islands, bays and beaches of the archipelago, or heading to sail closer to the Costa Smeralda to take in the most exclusive coast-line in the World. Once you've had your fill, you need to head south and follow the coats back past Porto Cervo and on to Portisco. On entry, you'll need to refuel the boat (there's a fuel berth on the breakwater - you can't miss it!), before taking the boat back to where you found it a week ago... There should be someone there to help you moor up.

Later, someoneo will come and check the boat is still in one piece, but the full check-out is bright and early tomorrow morning, before you disembark, and wave farewell to your trusty boat. If you haven’t yet visited Portisco town then it is worth a visit, and you should find a number of fellow sailors there tonight who you can impress with tales of your voyage.

And eventually, you'll be on your way home. Hopefully you’ve had a truly memorable week in the sunshine, and are leaving with even better friends than you arrived with. If it's a really good crew, you'll already be starting to think about planning another sailing adventure together! Have a safe flight, and thanks for sailing with us! We hope to see you soon!

Sailing Conditions

Italy Sailing - Wind Conditions

The wind is strongest at the Bonifacio strait, where the wind gets funneled between Sardinia and Corsica, but usually not so strong as to put you off heading to to check out mystical Bonifacio. There are also occasional days where the Mistral winds blow over from Saint Tropez with a little more force in the height of August, but usually only for a couple of days, and usually it is manageable with a reef or two in your sails.

If you're sailing in winter, then be sure to check the weather forecasts before setting sail - the winds can change quickly and dramatically, and can arrive from almost any direction, though, contrary to summer, it most usually arrives from an Eastern direction.

Sardinia - Average Temperature

Marina Cala dei Sardi, Portisco

The Marina 'Cala dei Sardi' is a purpose built marina located within easy walking distance of Portisco, on the Emerald coast.  As well as all the usuals of water, fuel, electricity, free wifi, and waste disposal, the marina also has it's own pizzeria, restaurant, bar and mini-market.

You'll normally charter a boat from Saturday to Saturday. If flights aren't available to match, then you might need to spend a night or two on dry land at the start or the end of your holiday. Here's where we head to in the area: Hotel Le Sirene , Hotel Il Timone or Colonna Hotel if you want to spoil yourselves!

Marina Cala dei Sardi, Portisco

Cannigione Marina is based to the north of the pretty village of Cannigione, 35 minutes north of Olbia and within line of sight of the beautiful Maddalena islands. There's a restaurant, supermarket or mini-market, parking, electricity, fuel, and toilet facilities - plus plenty of facilities in the village - and it's a pleasant place to start and end your holiday.

Charters are usually Saturday to Saturday - if flights aren't available to match that itinerary, then you could spend a day or two on land before or after your charter. Here's where we head to in the area (these are also the only hotels within walking distance to the marina, but there are plenty of holiday apartments): Hotel Baja or Blu Hotel Marisco Village .

The 6-day itinerary above is for sailing from our main base in Sardinia (Portisco, which is nearby) - but you can easily follow the same itinerary sailing from Cannigione.

Cannigione

Marina di Portisco

The Marina di Portisco is right in the heart of the town, giving great access to shops, bars and restaurants, and also comes with free wifi!

Sardinia has approximately 1,000 nautical miles of coastline. For the most enjoyable catamaran rental in Sardinia, it is preferable to focus on one area, and choose one of the north, east, south or west coasts.

Costa Smeralda - the emerald coast on the east of Sardinia

Delight in beautiful swimming bays with deep, azure water and sparkling white sand. Here, you are sure to experience the ultimate relaxing holiday with your family.

Your catamaran rental in Sardinia: experience the flair of the Caribbean in the Mediterranean Sea.

Discover the emerald coastline from the water as you float around on your catamaran rental in Sardinia. Following Sicily, Sardinia is the second-largest Italian island and a veritable Mecca for sailing enthusiasts. This Mediterranean jewel is surrounded by the Sardinian and Tyrrhenian Seas and captivates all who visit with its dreamy beaches, shimmering bays and fertile coastal forests. The Costa Smeralda, in particular, is very popular for catamaran rentals in Sardinia and is well-prepared for sailing tourism. However, the rest of Sardinia is also definitely worth seeing as it offers a fun nautical adventure that is slightly less touristy.

Find the best routes for your catamaran rental in Sardinia

The wind conditions in northern Sardinia make this location a firm favourite amongst sailors and water sports enthusiasts. Here, the emerald coast, which has received its name due to the colour of its shimmering waters is a popular stopping point for boat trips. Additionally, the Maddalena archipelago in the north, Cagliari in the south, and the charter base ‘Alghero’ are also ideal starting points for your Sardinian catamaran rental.

The most beautiful routes for your catamaran rental in Sardinia: Start at the Costa Smeralda

Sardinia’s most popular coastal region is definitely the Costa Smeralda. This area is also renowned amongst international jet setters, as in 1967, the Aga Khan set up his yacht club in Porto Cervo. However, this means that the area is quite expensive, especially during high season. Jet off into the water from the bases in Cannigione or Portisco and explore the stunning Maddalena archipelago with its many small anchorages. You can also check out the exclusive marinas located in Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo.

The most beautiful routes for your catamaran rental in Sardinia: Start from Cagliari

After boarding your boat at the charter base in Cagliari in southern Sardinia, you can enjoy a relaxing cruise along the south, south-east and east coasts of the island. Cagliari, the island’s capital, was occupied by the Spanish from the 16th to the 18th century, and so Spanish architecture is still largely present in this area.

These regions are also a great option for your catamaran rental in Sardinia due to their small bays, charming anchorages and beautiful sandy beaches, as well as their selection of harbours and marinas. If you dock your catamaran at Capo di Pula, you can visit the ruins of the ancient city of Nora.

The most beautiful routes for your catamaran rental in Sardinia: Start from Alghero

The charter base Alghero is perfect if you are planning to sail to the northeast coast of Sardinia. You can easily reach Stintino (situated on the Gulf of Asinara) or Castelfranco, or if you want to challenge yourself with a longer voyage, why not try sailing along Sardinia’s west coast?

If you start your catamaran rental experience in Alghero, you will be setting off from a region encircled in history, as in the 14th century, Alghero was conquered by the Spanish. The native population was expelled and Catalan farmers and fishermen settled. Even today, the town has a Spanish feel to it and many of the inhabitants speak Catalan.

If you journey south from Alghero, some key destinations include Porto Fluviale, Bosa Marina, Torre Grande and the base of Carloforte (which is situated on the idyllic island of Isola di San Pietro).

Sardinia offers you optimal conditions for your catamaran rental

Sardinia has a typical Mediterranean climate with very little variation between April and October. The wind conditions are usually great for a catamaran rental: in the north and north-west of Sardinia, you will primarily face the north-westerly winds in summer. In the Maddalena archipelago, the wind often blows from west to southwest. The strong jet effect in the Strait of Bonifacio causes the wind to increase by one or two wind forces. In autumn, a moderate south-westerly wind can quickly turn to a fierce north-easterly wind. The current runs parallel to the corresponding wind direction in the Strait of Bonifacio and can reach up to 4km after storms.

In the event of a strong Libeccio or Mistral, special care should therefore be taken in the Strait of Bonifacio and, if necessary, you should remain by the port. The north coast of Sardinia with its offshore islands offers numerous sheltered anchorages and safe harbours.

Important Information for your catamaran rental in Sardinia

When chartering a yacht in Sardinia, you should be aware of the following:

To sail a catamaran in Italy, you will need to obtain an International Certificate of Competence for Inland and Coastal Water.

You can travel to Sardinia by plane or in your own vehicle. Depending on your chosen charter base, you can fly to one of three airports. You can often reach Sardinia from mainland Italy with direct flights.

  • Olbia Airport: if your catamaran rental begins in Cannigione or Portisco
  • Alghero Airport: if your catamaran rental begins in Alghero
  • Cagliari Airport: if your catamaran rental begins in Cagliari or Carloforte

If you prefer to travel in your own vehicle, you can book a ferry from mainland Italy. You can enter Sardinia via Piombino, Livorno, Genoa, La Spezia, Naples and Civitaveccia. In high season, it is strongly recommended that you reserve a ferry passage. If you have any questions about travelling to Sardinia for your catamaran rental, please reach out to us via phone or email.

Tip: Before leaving for Sardinia, check that you have all the necessary documents so that nothing stands in the way of your catamaran rental in Sardinia.

Sardinia: an ideal destination for connoisseurs

Sardinia is the second-largest island in Italy after Sicily. Even today, its inhabitants see themselves as Sardinians first, and then as Italians. North-eastern Sardinia, which is home to Costa Smeralda, is especially well developed for tourists and offers many harbours, luxurious hotels and holiday villages. Well-known regattas, such as the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and the Swan Cup take place at the Costa Smeralda Yacht Club every year from late August to early September.

Sardinia’s history stretches back over 6,000 years and you can visit numerous excavations that are more than 3,000 years old. These include the menhirs of Cort'e Semmuccu and Cenna Prunas. In the Bronze Age, Sardinia saw the emergence of the typical nuraghi, which are tower buildings made of large, more or less worked stones that are usually surrounded by stone hut villages. The nuragic fortress of Su Nuraxi in Barumini has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.

As you move further inland, the island is dominated by granite rocks as well as by bushes and shrubs which bloom profusely in the spring and release the scents of their essential oils in the summer. If you disembark from your catamaran rental in Sardinia and spend a day exploring the island, you will easily be able to spot the picturesque flora and fauna of this island.

Revel in Sardinia’s delectable culinary delights

Culinary-wise, Sardinia has a lot to offer: The pasta is often homemade and delicious. If you are feeling adventurous, try the typical Sardinian recipe of flavouring the pasta with bottarga (dried fish roe from a mullet) - it is sure to make your tastebuds tingle. Then try authentic Sardinian ravioli filled with ricotta and gnocchetti sardi, small shell-shaped pasta made of durum wheat semolina. Spit-roasted pigs, cattle, lambs and goats and, especially at festivals, suckling pig (porcheddu) are traditional meat dishes. Air-dried ham from semi-wild pigs (prosciuttu di montagna) and salami (salsiccia sarda) are often served with cheese and olives.

The most famous bread on the island is the "pane carasau", a very flat, dry flatbread that keeps for a long time. When the bread is seasoned with salt and olive oil, it is called "pane guttiau". "Sebadas" are dumplings filled with ricotta, baked in oil and spread with honey, and should definitely be a must-try delicacy during your catamaran rental in Sardinia.

When it comes to Sardinian wines, there is no limit to the incredible variety on offer in Sardinia. Well-known wines from Sardinia include Vermentino (white wine), Cannonau (red wine) and Malvasia (dessert wine). The Sardinian variant of grappa is called "Filu e Ferru" (iron wire). The name goes back to a historically common method of burying illicitly distilled spirits in the garden. To retrieve the containers, an iron wire was tied around the bottle, sticking out at the surface. Sardinia is also known for its "mirto", a herbal liqueur made from myrtle berries.

One Week Sailing around Sardinia

Cala Corsara Cove, La Maddalena, Sardinia

  • Our Recommended Sailing Guide

Flotilla map

Lazy days in la maddalena islands.

Sardinia is well known for its chic and classy residents, simply stunning scenery and its gastronomic delights. As well as being able to sail along Sardinia’s coastline perhaps the most appealing reason to sail here is the magnificent La Maddalena Islands. A collection of islands that are so spectacular they have been designated a National Marine Park.

This route is our favourite way to spend a week making the most of the sensational Sardinian scenery. From National parks to the native cuisine (fresh fish, delicious anti pasti or pizza...take your pick!) there isn't much that fails to impress us when sailing in Sardinia. Enjoy lazy days in the La Maddelena Archipelago or sail to Bonfacio and enjoy a couple of days cruising the Corsican coast...

What's the weather like?

June, July, August & September are the perfect time to visit Sardinia. Late summer is particularly good as the sea has had all summer to heat up making swimming an absolute pleasure at this time of year. As one of our most northern destinations temperatures are fortuitously cooler than more southern destinations like Greece and Turkey (no bad thing) but bear in mind that May and October can be a lot cooler here. This is an area for an experienced crew with a powerful West to North Westerly blasting along the West coast and a strong South to South Easterly prevailing along the East coast.

Local Sailing Tips

The costs of mooring fees for a 39ft yacht range from €20 to upwards of €100 per night, with prices sometimes rising to double the cost when staying over a weekend. If you are looking to save on marina costs there are plenty of bays to anchor off in. Some of the better anchorages have mooring buoys which you do have to pay for, but these are often less expensive than a marina.

Typical Itinerary & Highlights

Days 1 - 2, arriving in portisco.

Once you arrive at the base you'll be met by the charter company and once you've checked-in you'll be shown to your boat and after a quick briefing you're ready to relax! Portisco is a great place to spend your first night rubbing shoulders with the superyachts that often pick up their rich and famous clients here.

From Portisco it's a around a 15 mile sail up to the Maddalena Islands. These are a stunning set of islands that lie to the northeast of Sardinia and their beautiful beaches and clear waters make them a popular sailing destination.

Portisco

Days 3 - 4, Meandering around the Maddalena Islands

An ideal first stop in the Maddalena Islands is Spiaggi I due Mare. A beauiftul starting point on the island of Caprera in the Maddalena Islands.

From Spiaggi I due Mare sail north to Spalmatore. There's a small port here for you to moor up in and the beach here is easy to spot as it's surrounded by pink coloured rocks making it quite the photo opportunity.

After Spalmatore continue north to the famour Spiagga Rosa. You might have read about this place, here you'll get to see first hand the beach that's sand appears pink due to the bits of coral and seashells that are mixed in with the sand. The best way to see this beach is from a boat (how convenient!)

After you've seen the iconic pink beach continue further north to the island of Santa Maria. Santa Maria is part of the Baunei Island and the town is full of character with ancient ruins, tombs and megalithic burial grounds all waiting for you to discover them.

Spiagg I due Mari

Days 5 - 6, Cruise over to Corsica

From the Maddalena Islands did you know you can sail to Corsica? It's under 15 miles to the southern tip of Corsica from Santa Maria and a lovely sail. So we suggest popping over the Bonifacio and experiencing from french influences for a night. You might recognise the town when you get here as its the setting for the famous film V for Vendetta.

Once you've spent the night in the scenic town of Bonifacio why not head back down to the island of Spargi in the Maddalena Islands. Spargi island is part of the Maddalena National Park and has many species of protected birds, there's also the Maritime Musuem which has artifacts and remains from Roman ships.

Bonifacio Castle

Days 7 - 8, One last stop before heading back to base

A great last stop before heading back to base is the island of La Maddalena itself, this town is bustling but concentrated meaning there are plenty of quiet corners on the island waiting for you to explore them.

And finally its back to Portisco for one last night, the charter company usually like the boats to be back between 4-6pm and this gives you time to have a final italian feast before heading home the next day.

These holidays will appeal to those who enjoy sailing but have family or friends who are not quite so enthusiastic about sailing - a compromise can now be made!

Most people opt for a week of sailing followed by a week of winding down on shore. However it is entirely up to you to do what you want to do (and when!)

Iris Hotel and Apartments

The Iris Hotel has been a popular choice for flotilla sailors for many years. This accommodation option will fit in with any of our flotillas starting and finishing on Lefkas Island. Until today, fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht weren't quite sure the spin-off of Below Deck would return for a fifth season, as the last episode of Season 4 aired way back in July 2023.

In late June, one viewer asked Reddit users if Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 was ever going to happen, and even as recently as this summer, fans weren't sure the show was returning.

In that thread, BDSY fans speculated that Season 5 was delayed due to allegations involving First Officer Gary King.

As we previously reported, Season 4 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht featured a wild "love triangle" between Gary, Chief Stewardess Daisy Kelliher , and Chief Engineer Colin MacRae:

"Many things influenced the relationship between Daisy and Colin, but one name was the most prominent: Gary King. "Daisy, Colin, and Gary's entanglement reached a boiling point that got the three in public arguments and name-calling, and at the end, estranged."

A month after Season 4 concluded with a two-part reunion in July 2023, Rolling Stone published an in-depth article , "'Below Deck' Accused of Covering Up Gary King’s Sexual Misconduct," rocking the show's audience.

It reported in part:

"Bravo’s Below Deck was recently lauded for its handling of sexual misconduct when a producer on Below Deck Down Under broke the 'fourth wall' and intervened when one cast member, Luke Jones, tried to get into bed naked with another cast member, Margot Sisson, without her consent while she was inebriated and passed out. Not only was Luke fired from the show, but their fellow cast member and stewardess, Laura Bileskalne, was also let go because of victim-blaming comments she made to Margot about the incident and her own line-crossing pursuit of deckhand Adam Kodra. [...] "Samantha Suarez, who first joined Below Deck in the makeup department on Season 10 of the show, tells Rolling Stone that cast member Gary King tried to force himself on her during production of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season Four, which filmed in Sardinia, Italy, in the summer of 2022."

Fans speculated that Season 5 was delayed due to extensive retooling, but Bravo eventually confirmed the return of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, with a trailer that centers Daisy.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5's Release Date And Trailer

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Trailer

On September 16, Bravo finally released the Below Deck Sailing Yacht trailer.

Bravo shared the clip on Instagram and Twitter/X, to the surprise of fans:

Posts teased the crew's visit to the notoriously riotous destination of Ibiza, and the trailer kicked off with some remarks from Daisy.

Daisy is the first crew member to speak in the trailer, and she addresses the unwieldy love triangle of Season 4:

"Going into this season, I got rid of some dead weight. The breakup did a number on me last year. I felt very broken. "But now, I'm coming back in more focused, full of energy, and I'm f*****g good at my job. And I'm taking back the reins."

Immediately thereafter, the clip cuts to a cabin, where Daisy tells an in-bed Gary that she refuses to "carry this season," before cutting back to newer footage of Daisy laughing and predicting:

This is gonna be a s*** show.

Then the video shifts to Ibiza, where a voiceover describes it as the world's "party capital," and scenes are interspersed with a lot of breaking glass.

Gary (who has not been let go from the franchise) makes an appearance, and the soundbite chosen for the trailer is bizarre given the allegations levied at him last year:

If the guests don't have a good time, we're clearly doing something very wrong.

As the trailer winds down, one of the crew members (likely Deckhand Keith Allen) muses that "Daisy would make a very good wife."

The trailer wraps with an apparent firing, as well as what appears to be a scene during which the crew veers uncomfortable close to another vessel at sea, at night.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 debuts on Bravo on October 7 at 9PM Eastern, and streams on Peacock the following day.
