Basic specs..
The hull is made of fibreglass. Generally, a hull made of fibreglass requires only a minimum of maintenance during the sailing season.
The hull is a sandwich construction which improves the indoor climate. Especially when the water is colder than the air in the cabin, then the double hull insulates against cold water and reduce the condense water in the cabin.
The boat is equipped with a galley, 170.0 liter fresh water capacity and toilet facility.
The Nordborg 37 is equipped with a fractional rig. A fractional rig has smaller headsails which make tacking easier, which is an advantage for cruisers and racers, of course. The downside is that having the wind from behind often requires a gennaker or a spinnaker for optimal speed.
Unknown keel type
The boat can only enter major marinas as the draft is about 1.80 - 1.90 meter (5.91 - 6.21 ft) dependent on the load. See immersion rate below.

Nordborg 40
Elegant Scandinavian cruiser with timeless lines built by Nordborg Baadebyggeri A/S on the island of Als in the South of Denmark. Her low freeboard, flat coachhouse profile and long overhangs give the Nordborg 40 an elegant, sleek and classic profile. Her exceptionally slim hull (maximum beam: 3,18 m only), the high, efficient rig with standing rigging in rod, the slim, efficient appendixes and a high ballast ratio of almost 40 % make for excellent performance, especially upwind. Traditional, beautifully finished mahogany interior with floorboards in teak with maple strips and ceiling panels in white varnished ash. High-quality, generously dimensioned deck fittings as well as the arrangement of mainsheet, traveller and genoa winches directly within the helmsman's reach make it easy for small crews to safely manoeuvre the yacht.
This Nordborg 40 is a very well maintained and fully-equipped yacht offered by her first owner. Every year in indoor winter storage and continuous care and technical maintenance. Exceptionally young and high quality sail wardrobe (mainsail and jib ELVSTRÖM EPEX new 2022). Teak deck everywhere, bow thruster, complete RAYMARINE navigation and stainless steel anchor. Special highlights of this yacht are the retractable stainless steel bowsprit for the gennaker, the beautiful TCE steering wheel in cold moulded mahogany and maple veneers, and the interior in specially selected, light-coloured Khaya mahogany. The Nordborg 40 is located on the Bay of Lübeck (German coats of the Baltic Sea), can be inspected any time upon appointment and is available for delivery at short notice.

Nordborg 34 : Fine Danish cruising yacht

The Nordborg 34 is intended to be a fast, easy-to-handle boat for up to six people. However, it should also be easy to operate with a small crew or single-handed. That is the shipyard's objective. The lines from the pen of shipyard boss Bland Jensen are traditional, with a sloping stem, low forefoot and a skeg-guided rudder. The yacht is also relatively slim for its size. The T-shaped cockpit allows either tiller or wheel steering. The cockpit, deck and cabin roof are covered with teak as standard.
The interior design is classic, typical of Nordborg: The forward, saloon and aft berths are each designed for two people. The galley is arranged in an L-shape on the port side. There is a chart table opposite. This is equipped with a swivelling seat, which can also be used as an extra seat for the saloon table. There is a fold-out bathing platform in the stern. The stern fitting is particularly interesting as it has four functions. Firstly, it serves as a mount for the anchor. However, it can also be extended and then act as a bow ladder in the first stage, extended further it serves as a gennaker pole and finally, when fully extended, as an attachment point for a Code Zero. Such a light wind sail may also be necessary, as the 9/10 rig has outboard jibs and does not allow an overlapping genoa. To improve manoeuvrability, however, the lower shrouds are moved inwards onto the superstructure.
According to the shipyard, the new boat will not be ready for the Hanseboot. However, the prototype currently under construction can be viewed at the shipyard by appointment. The official presentation is planned for the in-house exhibition on 17 and 18 November.
The price has not yet been finalised, but initial estimates put it at around 190,000 euros.

Im Jahre 2017 konnte NORDBORG BAADEBYGGERI auf ein 80-jähriges Firmenbestehen im klassischen Bootsbau zurückblicken. Die Verwendung des traditionellen Materials Mahagoni wurde in die Zeit der modernen, schnellen Kunststoffrümpfe übertragen.
I 2017 kunne NORDBORG BAADEBYGGERI se tilbage på 80 års beståen, 80 års erfaring med klassisk bådbygning og med anvendelse af traditionelle materialer, som i dag er overført til de moderne og hurtige glasfiberskrog. Af denne kombination har vi i dag udviklet klassiske og kønne sejlbåde med gode sejlegenskaber, komfort og praktiske detaljer.
As the surface of a fin type keel is just a fraction of the total wet surface, the difference between an iron keel and a lead keel can in reality be ignored for cruising yachts. The boat can enter most marinas as the draft is just about 1.75 - 1.85 meter (5.74 - 6.04 ft) dependent on the load.
The Nordborg 30 has been built with different keel alternatives. Fin keel. One option is a fin keel. A boat with a fin keel is more manoeuvrable but has less directional stability than a similar boat with a full keel. Nordborg 30 can enter even shallow marinas as the draft is just about 1.40 - 1.50 meter (4.59 - 4.89 ft) dependent on the load.
