Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to have been instructed to act in the sale of the 1996 built, 1997 launched Vancouver 28 ‘INNISFREE’.
The Vancouver 28 is an evolution of the original Robert Harris designed Vancouver 27 . The newer 28 being fractionally longer in the stern and with a slightly raised sheer providing a little more volume below decks. With no compromises made to suit modern fashions she is without doubt a yacht designed for short handed offshore cruising, with examples to be found in all parts of the globe this highly capable design has proved itself to be highly dependable. A yacht which will keep going in weathers when far larger yachts have been forced into port.
With only her second owners since new INNISFREE has been lightly used in the current ownership, afloat for less than 16 weeks a year and stored ashore when not in use. A well equipped example her inventory includes:

Boatshed Cornwall are pleased to list this highly desirable Vancouver 28. A blue-water sailing yacht with good characteristics. The newer 28, developed from the Vancouver 27, is fractionally longer in the stern and with a slightly raised sheer, providing a little more volume below decks and designed for short handed cruising.
First impressions on arriving at the pontoon berth revealed a tidy yacht, rigged and ready. Once onboard the presentation was of a very good standard which made it difficult to relate to the date of manufacture, another testament to the build quality and the care taken by subsequent owners.
Recent upgrades include Engine service (2024) Renewed Headsail UV strip (2024) Renewed 2 x House batteries (2024) Renewed Standing Rigging (2023) Outer Bottom antifouling (2023) Harken Mk4 Ocean roller reefing system on forestay for Genoa/Yankee (2023) Renewed internal & masthead LED lights (2023)
This is a well presented Vancouver 28 and it appears to have been well maintained by the current owners. Currently back on a swinging mooring where it will remain until sold. This mooring is transferreable and includes all amenities, car parking and water taxi.
It is highly recommended a viewing is arranged to appreciate this yacht.

'Fancy Vancouver' is a great example of the Vancouver 28 which has a well-deserved reputation as the classic offshore cruiser She is in good condition having been very well maintained by her single owner. He had her commissioned by Northshore and went on to complete the ARC and spent many years cruising in the Mediterranean. For the last few years, he has been cruising the Channel regularly, mostly single-handed. The Vancouver 28 is designed for short-handed long distanced cruising. She is a safe, comfortable passage maker easily sailed single or short-handed. The 28 is longer than the 27 and importantly has more headroom at 6ft 2 inches. The interior has high-quality joinery which gives a warm, comfortable feel throughout. She has a well-maintained reliable Yanmar 2GM20 18hp engine and a full set of sails all in good condition which includes a cruising chute and spinnaker. She comes with a wind vane self-steering system as well as a tiller pilot autohelm. The Vancouver 28 is a perfect offshore cruiser for short-handed long-distance passages. Accommodation
The Vancouver 28 has three good sea berths, two settee berths in the saloon and a large quarter berth on the starboard side. There is ample storage throughout with a large heads and a very large storage locker in the forward area. The galley is well laid out, and there is a chart table on the starboard side midships.
