It has been five years since I had visited the Bridgeview Yacht Club. My last visit was for a wedding, and here we are again for another Wedding five years later. Yes, they named this establishment correctly, there is most definitely a bridge view; the Long Beach Bridge which crosses Reynolds Channel, connecting Long Beach and Island Park. If one were interested in arriving by boat to the Yacht Club, that surely would be possible. As for the venue, the cocktail hour had ample room with the bar area set aside. The Yacht club claims they can support four-hundred guests. The staff and service were wonderful and quite attentive.
My wife and I cam to the Bridgeview Yacht Club for a Kiwanis event honoring our Oceanside Club. We come from the North and the GPS brought us right to the front door with no issues. Very easy to get to with multiple roads to choose from. The valet parking made it very simple for us. We waked into a lovely lounge waiting area where we were directed to our party room. Being held in the evening did not give us the benefit of viewing the surrounding water view. The team here is wonderful and we were asked multiple times if there was anything they could do help us. The room was big and bright and well decorated for a formal gathering. There was plenty of space between tables and I never felt crowded. There was a large table in the middle with various cold appetizers and the staff was walking around with hot choices. Everything was tasty and fresh. As we sat through the formal part of the program our servers took orders and we took advantage of the multiple bars so lines never got to bad. Salads were crispy, cool and fresh and spaced out well with the main meals of steak chicken and fish. Everything was served promptly and properly. All the food was served as ordered which does not always happen when my wife orders medium well. Clearly, the wait staff was attentive to our needs and was always there. I am definitely looking forward to attending additional events here (and hopefully during the daylight hours in the summer). Kudos to the Bridgeview and the team.
I attended a wedding at Bridgeview Yacht Club as a guest, and had a fantastic time. The waterside ambiance is beautiful, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food is indescribably delicious. Seriously. That was some of the all-around best wedding food I've ever had, if not the very best. If you're looking for a place to get married in Nassau County, this is definitely a spot worthy of consideration.
it only took me a couple months of being married before i realized i forgot to complete my after my big day wedding review! throughout the whole process a huge thank you to Samantha the banquet manager for all her prompt emails back and forth as the big day approached. the day of she was even there to see me when i arrived it really felt special because she was truly there every step of the way.. july 22 the day came and went.... we had arrived at about 5pm to do our reveal and take family photos and bridal photos before our 730 ceremony....that day when my groom arrived unfortunately his limo had no AC so he was dripping in sweat and our Maitre'd Eric and our bridal attendant Kristen had to basically have him take his tux off and he had to have his tux blow dried and ironed. Great way to start off your summer wedding that was soon taken care of then we worked right before we were about to be told that the guests were to be seated outside for the ceremony in the cute courtyard it started to rain..... i was expecting about 260 guests that means 260 chairs needed to be moved and so did 15 tables where they had to move out of the way with to transform half of the reception room into the the now ceremony space. Bridgeviews staff went to work fast and my florist was also went above and beyond and helped move the tables before and after the ceremony to make sure the centerpieces would be safe in transit (Black Dahlia Florist)... with all that happening and having no concept of time we were now pushed back about 20 minutes by the time our guests were seated for the ceremony and we lined up things clearly didnt start on time. Eric stated dont worry everything will work out... now in the back of my mind my wedding had to be rushed because our party was supposed to end until 1am. as the night proceeded it went great until my now husband decided to lift me up during dancing after our first dance and he broke the clasp on my dress so now i needed to become MIA for a little while to attempt to get sewn into the dress when that was unsuccessful between Eric and Kristen they managed to get 2 safety pins to keep the dress up... (thank goodness i had straps for extra peace of mind) since the ceremony was moved back so was cocktail hour, dinner, viennese and cake...everything shifted towards the end of the night Eric asked our DJ company(Another Level DJ) to play another 1/2 hour due to everything getting shifted and they were happy to accomodate given the circumstances needless to say we didnt leave bridgeview until about 2am the next morning around 11 we came back to pick up all the items left over food/cake and the two people who were there early to greet us was Eric and Kristen i was baffled i said dont you guys sleep? i know that must have been there later on to get the staff all cleaned up.. everythign was returned back and labeled with the food... days weeks and months later i am still getting rave reviews about how everything turned out. i am forever grateful for how professional Samantha, Eric, Kristen and the staff were that day... it was a long day for everyone but they really made it happen Thank you Bridgeview I know anyone who books with you will be in great hands
came here on thursday night for the food tasting, we were allowed to bring up to 6 people included me and my fiance so i brought my future MIL, my mom, my sister and my cousin. up until this far I have been in contact with Samantha on all different things related to the wedding and she is Amazing super helpful, honest and really knows her stuff. that night i also got introduced to Eric who after meeting and chatting with him he is also on his A game! their tasting was a menu chosen by the chef so it was a nice combo the main courses were served family style. Everyone got to have a few drinks, Salad- delicious pasta- really good al dente! Salmon- delicous couscous side-crowd pleaser even my MIL liked it! Roasted Chicken- Super moist I think this is going on my menu Vegetarian option: you forget its vegetarian with the size of the mushrooms Chateu Briand is a very generous serving and loved the mashed baked potato it was served with String beans and Carrots side: i loved that they were not hard vegetables i hate that I know as a bride you never get to enjoy the food on your day as they say so i made sure to really savor it that night! Apple crumble dessert: warm and gooey with some vanilla bean ice cream on the side a crowd pleaser! I keep telling my mom dont worry i will eat on my wedding day!
Thank you!! The Bridgeview was the first and only place we looked at during our hunt for the perfect wedding venue and boy was it amazing! First off, Samantha is absolutely incredible! She was super responsive from my first inquiry which is why I continued to ask questions, I can't tell you how many vendors responded with generic questions or didn't respond at all. Then the price was incredible and I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. We visited on two very rainy days and the room still looked incredible, so it was an easy decision. The main ballroom is everything I imagined, basically an indoor tent with tons of natural light and an amazing amount of space. The whole process was amazingly easy, especially considering we were planning from out of state. Fast forward to the week of, I needed to drop a ton of stuff off and Samantha was available to help carry it from the car inside, which was completely unnecessary, but another reason why she's awesome. She goes above and beyond! Day-of we had Alejandro and Veronica as our maitre'd and bridal attendant and they were equally fantastic! My father-in-law only speaks Spanish and it was awesome to have Alejandro speaking both English and Spanish to our group. They were by our sides when we needed them, but weren't on top of us throughout the event. We wanted maximum dance time and they made sure that happened as well. We were able to do a faux cake cutting before the reception and they made sure our DJ/MC knew we wanted to dance! Food was amazing! We did get to eat (all three of our choices!) and Veronica happily made me a plate before taking photos. We had the most gorgeous day and I don't think it could have gone better! Thank you to the Samantha, Alejandro, Veronica, and the entire BYC staff for making our wedding dreams come true!! PS - this was a daytime wedding, cocktail hour at 1 and reception from 2-6! I found it very difficult to find photos of a daytime wedding here!!

I came here for a Social event with colleagues. When I got here, I couldn't figure out where to park right away because there are no noticeable signs to park in the lot across the street. Plus the parking lot isn't marked for parking spots. When I went inside there was a cocktail room with lots of small tables. People seemed to be confused to where to sit with their friends and a bunch gathered in the area of the bar which filled up with waiting people quickly. They had a table out with fruits, cheeses, and crackers. I'm gluten and dairy free, so I had to just eat the fruit. I asked the servers walking around with hors d'oeuvres if they had any that were gluten free and was told, no, none are gluten free that I could eat, and nothing that they could make me. After about an hour had passed, doors were opened up to a hallway, and people slowly filtered out into a big room with a DJ, bar, dance floor and big tables. I then sat at a table and relaxed while others came into the room and took seats. I observed people arguing and yelling at each other over the seats and soon had people asking me if they could sit in the seats next to me. They seemed upset that they couldn't fit their group at the table because other people took some of the seats next to me as well. Soon salad was being put on our plates. They had to special make mine without cheese. This salad shouldn't of came with cheese on it already. Then soon they gave ravioli to everyone and brought me a plate of gluten rotini in tomato sauce. More time passed where I talked with others and the main courses started coming out. They served mine, gluten and dairy free chicken, quiche, and rice, in a fold up tin that I had to rip open. It was ok, and tasted bland, like it looks. After dinner desert came out, ice cream on a table with toppings. Nothing I could have again since it was almost all dairy. What do I think of this place? It is mediocre at best. The food is almost all frozen and not fresh, there aren't many gluten and dairy free options, especially during times for hors d'oeuvres and desert times, the bars were constantly packed with people and long lines, and I was still a bit hungry. It was a nice facility, with a view of the water outside on the doc, but nothing to brag about. I do think this place has potential to be great if they fixed everything I mentioned. These things took away from having a great experience there. I think it is a decent place for big events, but make sure you bring extra entertainment for your guests other than a DJ. I posted a few pictures for you to see.

Visit Date: August 29, 2015 My friend had her engagement party here. It was a beautiful day for the party and her party room had the option to enjoy being outdoors or indoors except for when the food was served. The Yacht Club is on the water so the scenery is beautiful especially in the summer. The food served was pretty good, my friend opted for all vegetarian since she's a vegetarian. I'm a vegetarian too so that was fine with me. At the beginning of the party we were provided with appetizers. The party room we were in was very spacious, I like spacious, I hate when I'm in a crowded party room and I have strangers practically in my lap. I felt the food portions were a little on the small size and sometimes I like to eat so I wish they were bigger. Overall it's not a bad place to have a party in this area!

Great food, Horrible staff! The maître d' does not care about guest with medical conditions and would rather have them leave then adjust the air conditioning! Take your events elsewhere if you have anyone who is handicapped. A/C blowing so hard it blew out the candles.
Candles and empty chairs because guest left
My husband and I are preferred wedding vendors at the Bridgeview and are so happy to photograph there often. We always have an incredible time. The food is delicious and the staff is so helpful. Eric is hands down one of the best maitre d's we have ever worked with so you are in great hands when having your wedding there!

We had our wedding here in December 2018. The space, staff, food, and overall ambiance of the place is top notch. The ballroom is very elegant and spacious. The cocktail hour room is the size of most ballrooms I've seen- lots of room as well. We absolutely loved the bridal suite- they have a bar and food for the wedding party overlooking the water. I really cannot rave about Eric the maitre de enough. He made sure everything ran smoothly from the minute we arrived. To say he is great at what he does is an understatement. He went above and beyond to make our wedding memorable and enjoyable. He worked with Kristin the bridal attendant and they were a fabulous team. For people having winter weddings- the only piece of advice I would give is to seat older people closer to the dance floor and younger people on the perimeter of the room. I did the opposite thinking the older folks would want to be away from the loud music to talk. However, people further away from the dance floor were complaining about being cold/feeling a draft. Eric was very accommodating and put up the heat for them but then it got very hot for the tables closer to the dance floor (Maybe closer to the vents). This is not a complaint, but if I knew this ahead of time I would have done my seating chart a bit different. If we were to do it again there would be some things we would definitely change but the wedding venue would not be one of them. Thank you Bridgeview
