The deck is complemented by two fully serviced bars, pizza oven, teppanyaki grill and full service kitchen to allow for the ultimate Chef’s entertainment experience.

The Master suite is complete with every amenity you could desire. This home away from home comes complete with his and her ensuites, hair salon facilities, infrared sauna, ample hanging space for your outfits and a private lounge. It also boasts two magnificent skylights and panoramic 180-degree views to ensure you enjoy stunning views from the moment you wake. Five other spacious cabins, including a VIP suite, have all been elevated to be of equal quality leaving every guest onboard feeling like the owner. In addition there is one supernumerary cabin with ensuite.

The sundeck has been rebuilt to create an amazingly open and flexible space equipped with the latest “must have” features, such as the surround glass balustrades that enable unobstructed views. The refreshed spacious sun lounge provides ultimate sunbathing along with full umbrella coverage and the stunningly redesigned spa pool, with complimentary glass bottom, will ensure relaxation in style.  Coral Ocean represents the ultimate and unforgettable yachting experience. With all the modern attributes submersed in absolute luxury and comfort, we also provide world-class service coupled with the most opulent and fine-dining cuisine.

Entertaining Areas

From full-service bar, round dining table suitable for anytime of the day to aft balcony and observation area, indoor and outdoor sound system, in built electric skylight roof, in ceiling retractable 85-inch TV and to top it off, the unique convertible indoor sunbed complete with opening sunroof. The upper deck dining can host events of any format and size. With its sliding glass to protect from the wind, this space offers a dual indoor and outdoor experience ideal for those beautiful Mediterranean days and evenings, capable of seating 30 guests and complete with a full range of entertainment options including bars, kabana style seating, adjustable tables and day/evening beds. The Main Deck, which provides another incredible and unique option for a couple to live and entertain on their very own level.  Spacious outdoor areas can later be converted into an outdoor disco and dance floor for those fun evenings on board. Heading inside you can find another spacious lounge, with the very unique 6 metre wide side opening door that makes this lounge the perfect place for either relaxing evenings or casual drinks before dinner, which can be enjoyed right next door in the truly exquisite dining room, where the most eloquent of dinner parties can be savoured.

The Master Bedroom has two magnificent skylights and panoramic 180-degree views, including his and her en-suites with infrared sauna, hair salon facilities, as well as a private lounge area. The treatment room provides an adjoining private sanctuary for all your health and beauty needs. After unwinding in the infrared sauna, and spoiling yourself at the hair salon, you can enjoy a relaxing massage, manicure, pedicure and facial from your very own onboard highly experienced and beauty therapists. It is rare on any yacht for the VIP Suite to be considered the equivalent of the owners cabin, but this is what has been delivered aboard Coral Ocean.  Adjoining the VIP Suite, is its own full size private lounge room, which has multiple uses, as a movie cinema, general lounge, and coffee area as well as an integrated office space.  Coral Ocean has four lavish guest bedrooms, each with its own luxurious en-suite. Each Room is furnished with king beds, and one of them can be converted into holly wood singles.

A General Description of Motor Yacht CORAL ISLAND

This motor yacht CORAL ISLAND is a 73 metre 238 (ft) impressive steel vessel which was fashioned by Lurssen Yachts and designed in the office of Bannenberg Designs Ltd and Jorg Biederbeck. The naval architect that made this yacht's design with respect to this ship is Bannenberg Designs Ltd and Jorg Biederbeck. Also, the interior designing was created by Bannenberg Designs Ltd.

Coral Island was one of the early large private motor yachts built. She was originally commissioned by a Saudi Arabian businessman.

Construction & Yacht Design relating to Luxury Yacht CORAL ISLAND

Bannenberg Designs Ltd was the naval architect firm involved in the formal superyacht composition for CORAL ISLAND. Her interior design was conceived by Bannenberg Designs Ltd. Bannenberg Designs Ltd and Jorg Biederbeck is also associated with the yacht general design work for this boat. Germany is the country that Lurssen Yachts constructed their new build motor yacht in. After her formal launch in 1994 in Bremen the boat was passed over to the happy owner after sea trials. Her core hull was constructed with steel. The motor yacht main superstructure is fabricated mostly with aluminium. With a beam of 13.05 m or 42.8 feet CORAL ISLAND has impressive room. She has a deep draught of 5.75m (18.85ft). She had refit improvement and modification carried out by 2008.

Range & Speeds And Engines On M/Y CORAL ISLAND:

Fitted with twin CATERPILLAR diesel main engines, CORAL ISLAND is able to attain a maximum speed of 18 knots. She is driven by twin screw propellers. She also has an economical range of 5000 miles when underway at her cruising speed of 16 knots. Her total HP is 3894 HP and her total Kilowatts are 2865. With respect to the ship’s stabalisers she was supplied with Vosper.

They are no strangers when it comes to designing luxury superyachts having been responsible for the design of the 16th largest superyacht in the world, RISING SUN . 

When it came to the design of CORAL OCEAN it’s obvious they brought the same level of workmanship and quality to the project.

The upper decks are white which contrasts beautifully with the sandy-white beige hull.

During her life, Coral Ocean got several refits, so the owner enjoyed a well-maintained yacht. In the last winter, the yacht got some updates to meet charter regulations. It is now the first charter season.

She has six staterooms for 12 guests in total and an accommodation for a crew of 20. Her Caterpillar engines power her up to 17 knots, her cruising speed is 14 knots with an operating range of 6,000 nautical miles.

By the way, last winter 8 yachts paid a visit at Lürssen for upgrades or maintenance. Among others Phoenix², Global, Radiant and Quantum Blue.

The yacht is for sale with an asking price of €31,950,000. Offers are encouraged. Moreover, Coral Ocean is available for charter for €700,000 per week.

In pictures: 73m Lürssen Coral Ocean completes major €35m refit

The 73 metre Lürssen superyacht Coral Ocean has been pictured for the first time following a major €35 million refit at the Astilleros de Mallorca shipyard. 

She was delivered as Coral Island by Lürssen in 1994 and was one of the yard's biggest projects at the time. Jon Bannenberg, often considered the godfather of modern yacht design, was responsible for her exterior profile. The yacht cruised privately for most of her life until she changed hands at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show. She was purchased as Coral Ocean by Australian entrepreneur Ian Malouf who embarked on a "no expense spared" refit. 

Coral Ocean made her post-refit debut at the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix and is now available for Mediterranean charters with the Ahoy Club.  

"We spent just one week on Coral Ocean straight after purchasing her at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show, which was the fastest sale in superyacht history, and this gave us enough time to decide we were going to completely transform her," said Malouf. "The pandemic has served us a good period of time to rebuild the yacht with no shortcuts. What could have been a challenging task managing the rebuild via video from Australia was made almost seamless by our fantastic team on the ground in Palma and awesome technology."

The sundeck was a central part of the yacht's refit work and was rebuilt entirely to create an open and flexible space. The removal of the old communication domes allowed for the deck to be extended and increase the volume of Coral Ocean by approximately 120GT. The forward portion of the sundeck features a redesigned spa pool with a glass bottom, courtesy of the Four Seasons, surrounded by glass balustrades for protection from the elements without compromising the view.

Under the shade of a hard top is a sit-up bar, casual dining area and lounge that can be enclosed by floor-to-ceiling retractable glass windows, or left fully open for a single indoor-outdoor space. Sun pads are found forward of the Jacuzzi dressed in Dedar fabric with an umbrella that offers shade as required, while an 85-inch television offers the perfect set-up for movie nights. To top it off, there is a convertible indoor sunbed positioned beneath an electric sunroof.

The redesign of the interior builds on a Bannenberg & Rowell outfitting following a refit in 2015. Each space is fresh and bright with white reflective surfaces with accents of marine blues and greens. Coral Ocean can accommodate up to 12 guests in total across six staterooms, as before, but each cabin has been elevated and redesigned.

The master suite underwent the greatest transformation and now functions as a private apartment on the owner's deck. The space has doubled in size and now welcomes more light thanks to its two skylights – one above the super-king-sized berth and one at the entryway. The forward windows were also transformed by extending the glass to offer 180-degree views. The suite is complete with his and hers en suite bathrooms, an infrared sauna, a hair salon and a private lounge area with an adjoining treatment room.

Another cabin of note is the VIP suite which gives the master suite a run for its money. It has its own lounge upon entry that can double as a cinema room or office space. The remaining guest accommodation can be found on the lower deck and is comprised of four cabins.

Dining and entertaining spaces on board were fine-tuned during the refit, in particular the dining space on the aft deck. Sliding glass and heated ceiling panels provide protection from the wind and offer an indoor-outdoor dining experience. At the centre is a Paola Lenti table that seats 12, with two retractable lounge tables that allow for a party of 32 to dine all together, complemented by two bars, a pizza oven and a tepanyaki grill. Should the weather take a turn, a formal interior dining room seats up to 14 guests with a glass-fronted wine cellar to one side and sea views to the other.

Another notable area is the main saloon which features its original five-metre opening shell door that creates a balcony over the sea and a newly created sky lounge with curved sofas and a bar. Guests looking to keep active on board will enjoy the indoor-outdoor gym overlooking the ocean or take a dip in the 15-metre Funair sea-pool extension off the swim platform. Alternatively, those looking to relax can enjoy a spare area on the lower deck and a steam room fitted with mosaic tiles that form a jellyfish mural. 

The Malouf family is no stranger to large-scale refits after transforming their 52.5 metre Baglietto motor yacht Mischief in 2016. Coral Ocean was the latest European upgrade for Malouf, who had simultaneously sent Mischief to the Southern Hemisphere from her base in Sydney, Australia. Malouf’s current fleet includes boats such as Rascal , Chaos , Double Trouble and Cheeky . 

Speaking on the results of Coral Ocean 's, Malouf added: “ Coral Ocean has truly been transformed; she represents luxury in every way. The ability to accommodate up to twelve guests across six beautiful staterooms remains unchanged. However, all guestrooms and amenities have now been elevated to be of equal quality leaving every guest on board feeling like the owner. This is a unique proposition within the charter industry.”

Coral Ocean will now join the Ahoy Club, an online booking platform coined the AirBnB of chartering with a 4,000-strong fleet of vessels.

An iconic 73m superyacht delivered as Coral Island by Lürssen back in 1994 (one of the yard’s biggest projects at the time) with an exterior profile designed by the godfather of modern yacht design Jon Bannenberg, Coral Ocean was purchased by Malouf in 2020 and, having recently undergone a 35million euro refit in 2022 at the Astilleros de Mallorca shipyard, she is now one of the most in-demand charter yachts on the market.

No stranger to large-scale refits – the Malouf family also transformed their 52.5m Baglietto motor yacht Mischief in 2016, which is now based in Sydney, Australia – Ian, Captain William Kaye and their team worked meticulously to ensure no detail was overlooked during the almost two-year refit, which is clear as soon as charter guests step on board and are engulfed by an aura of calm and serenity.

Be it an intimate family vacation or a charter with friends, Coral Ocean is set up to offer an unparalleled experience of elegance, class and sophistication, serviced by 22 crew members. Perhaps the most impressive space on board, her sundeck was rebuilt entirely during the refurb to create a more open and flexible space great for both relaxing and entertaining. Allowing for unobstructed views without compromising on safety, the huge open space is surrounded by glass balustrades, while the sunlounge also comes complete with a large umbrella creating the perfect spot for an afternoon siesta. It’s here you will also find the impressive glass bottomed spa pool, cleverly designed by the team behind the Four Seasons’ spas.

When it’s time to cool off, head on over to the stylish skylounge housing a full-service bar and aft balcony, with a high-tech sound system and an 85-inch TV doubling as an open-air cinema.

The largest dining space can be found on the aft deck, which is home to a stunning Paolo Lenti table seating up to 12 guests. Large sunbeds on each side also convert into dining tables for 10, while sliding glass doors and ceiling heaters provide protection from the wind while offering a dual indoor-outdoor experience. Ideal for foodie charters, it’s also home to two bars, a pizza oven and a teppanyaki grill where chefs can whip up delicious meals throughout the day. For more formal occasions, the elegant dining room was designed by renowned interior designer Blainey North with seating for 14 guests.

Step inside Coral Ocean and every space is fresh and bright, with white reflective surfaces and ocean-inspired accents of marine blues and greens. She sleeps up to 12 guests in six beautiful cabins, with a master suite to impress even the most discerning of charter guests, complete with panoramic views, a super-sized Hastens bed, his and her en suite bathrooms, a hair salon, an infra-red sauna and a private lounge.

Not to be outdone, the VIP suite is just as impressive, complete with a lounge that doubles as a cinema room or office, and four further cabins boast kingsize beds – one of which can be converted to Hollywood singles.

Coral Ocean is also an excellent choice for a wellness charter. Home to a Four seasons spa, indoor/outdoor gym and steam room, she also has her own private treatment room with an onboard therapist offering massages, facials, mani-pedis, waxing, tinting and LED light therapy. What more could you wish for?
