Our burgers are the talk of the lake! Sink your teeth into our signature Tropics Burger, piled high with all your favorite toppings, or try our spicy Guido Burger for a fiery kick. Each burger is made with 100% Angus beef and served on a toasted brioche bun.

Our entrees are where culinary craftsmanship meets comfort food. From our juicy Delmonico steaks , our tender baby back ribs to our delicious broasted chicken with our blend of herbs and spices.

Kid’s Menu

Our littlest guests have their own special menu, packed with kid-friendly favorites. Order up a grilled cheese, some chicken tenders, sliders or a hot dog. Our kids menu is designed to satisfy even the pickiest eaters.

Enjoy our buffalo chicken salad with house-made ranch dressing or savor our Taco salad with your choice of ground beef or our in house marinated chicken. Want to play it safe? Try our Garden salad.

Our sandwiches are perfect for a casual lakeside meal. Choose from a variety of options, including our mouthwatering Italian Beef,  or maybe a Grouper Sandwich, or try our Ole’ Fashioned Reuben piled high corned beef on Marble Rye, with Swiss cheese and sauerkraut.

Nothing says paradise like a hot, cheesy pizza. Try our handcrafted pizzas, made with our signature dough and topped with the freshest ingredients. Our pizza is 100% made in house from the dough, sauce and the cheese blend.

Located right on the lakefront overlooking Lake Michigan, Harbor Brewing Biergarten is fueled by small and local breweries, wineries, and distilleries bringing your favorite styles and spirits!

THE TROPICS RESTAURANT

The Tropics Restaurant and Bar is located in Winthrop Harbor, IL, within North Point Marina – the largest marina on the Great Lakes. When you visit the restaurant you’ll be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy great food while overlooking the Marina and Lake Michigan.

Our beautiful outdoor patio overlooks North Point Marina and Lake Michigan. It’s perfect for a lovely night with friends and family. Or if you have you a wedding, event, or other party you’d like to celebrate in style. We can seat up to 120 people for private parties and banquets.

In addition to our restaurant, bar, and banquets, we also offer catering. So let us bring your favorite Tropics dishes to your next event, corporate luncheon, or backyard party.

The Winthrop Harbor Yacht Club (WHYC), located within North Point Marina, is the place for people with a passion for boating. Our vibrant organization provides educational classes, theme parties, organized cruises ,and social activities throughout the year for members of all ages – plus enjoy other amenities like our Canoe Bar, Weber gas grills, Sunday breakfasts, and more.

Open 365 days a year for our members, the WHYC is the perfect complement to your North Point Marina boating experience. Now accepting new members!

The Club is also available for private rentals for parties up to 130 people.

Heated kid friendly pool.

Our customers are offered access to our swimming pool and it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view!

Pool Fees $150.00 – Seasonal Pass

Day Pass Monday – Thursday: $10.00 Friday - Sunday: $15.00 10 Day Pass Punch Card: $70.00 Slip Holder Guest / Transient: $7.00

*Price above is per person, children under 2 years old are free.

Party Packs Party Packs include 15 pool pass wristbands and up to 5 adult chaperone pass wristbands, 3 hours of pool and pavilion use. Additional pool / chaperone / guests attending pool party whether swimming or not, must have a wristband.

Public Packet - $300.00 Available during public swim hours

Each additional hour - $100.00 Not to exceed 7:00pm The pool is open from Memorial Day Week through Labor Day Weekend.

CHARTER BOAT ASSOCIATION

SkipperBud’s provides Gasoline and Diesel on the fuel dock and can be contacted at (847) 872-3200 or on Marine Band channels 16 or 9. Fueling of vessels can only be done at the designated fuel dock in the marina.*

Tuesday – Thursday: 8:00am – 3:30pm

Friday – Saturday: 8:00am – 6:00pm

Sunday (in season): 10:00am – 3:30pm

FISH STATION

The fish cleaning station is near the swimming beach and is open 24 hours, seven days a week. Disposal of fish waste is permitted at the fish cleaning station only.

BIKE RENTALS

Bikes and stroller trailers are available for rent per hour, half-day (up to 4 hours), full-day (up to 8 hours), and 24-hour periods.

Adult bike - $10 per hour, $25 half day, $35 full day, $40 for 24 hours Kids bike - $6 per hour, $15 half day, $20 full day, $25 for 24 hours Trailer stroller - $6 per hour, $15 half day, $20 full day, $25 for 24 hours

All rentals include helmets, locks, baskets, and water bottle holders.

KAYAKS & STAND-UP PADDLE BOARDS

Single and double kayaks and stand-up paddle boards are available on an hourly rate. There are no overnight rentals available. All rentals after the first hour are pro-rated by the ¼ hour. Single Kayak and SUP - $20 per hour Double Kayak - $30 per hour

Season Passes Includes use of bikes, kayaks, or SUP daily for up to 4 hours each. Adult - $299 per person Kids - $199 per person Family - $599 (includes 2 adults and 2 kids)
