How do I buy a yacht?

Speak to your Y.CO Broker who will advise on pricing, offering market comparisons and analysis reports. They will also arrange sea trials and inspections, supported by Y.CO's technical team. Your Y.CO Broker will collect documents and collaborate with all parties for agreement completion.

Can I View the Yacht Before I Purchase?

Yes - in fact it is highly recommended to view as many yachts as possible during the purchase process. Your Y.CO Broker will assist in creating a shortist of yachts, organise private visits, accompany you on board and will help you ask the right questions.

What Happens after Offer Acceptance?

After acceptance of the offer, a sea trial and haul out will be arranged on your behalf. This allows your Y.CO broker, our technical experts and an independent yacht surveyor to verify that all the systems on board the vessel perform as specified.

„Bayesian“ in XXL: Wem gehört die teuerste Yacht der Welt?

Berlin. Bei der Wahl ihrer Statussymbole geizen Milliardäre nicht. Das sind die teuersten Luxusyachten der Welt – und ihre superreichen Besitzer.

Nach dem Drama um den gesunkenen Luxus-Segler galt alle Aufmerksamkeit der „Bayesian“ . Doch ist die Segelyacht eher unscheinbar im Vergleich zu den teuersten Yachten der Welt. Unter Superreichen wird es regelrecht zum Wettbewerb, das luxuriöseste Schiff zu besitzen. Doch wem gehören die teuersten Yachten der Welt?

Ein Schiff der Superlative ist die „Eclipse“ des russischen Ölmilliardärs Roman Abramowitsch. Die Stadt Hamburg schätzt den Wert der Megayacht auf 850 Millionen Euro. Damit ist sie die teuerste private Yacht der Welt. Im Anschaffungspreis war die von der Hamburger Schiffswerft Blohm und Voss gebaute Yacht mit 600 Millionen Euro ursprünglich etwas günstiger. Durch luxuriöse Umbauten schoss der Preis in die Höhe.

Mit einer Länge von 162,5 Metern ist die „Eclipse“ fast so groß wie ein Kreuzfahrtschiff und erstreckt sich über insgesamt neun Decks . Damit war sie bei ihrer Fertigstellung im Jahr 2010 die längste Luxusyacht der Welt – mittlerweile hat ihr die „Azzam“, die dritteuerste Mega-Yacht, diesen Rang abgelaufen.

Luxusyacht vor Anker: Wieso die „Eclipse“ nicht mehr fährt

Die „Eclipse“ bietet nicht nur Platz für bis zu 40 Gäste in 36 Kabinen, sondern auch viele weitere Annehmlichkeiten: Mehrere Pools, ein Kino, eine Diskothek, zwei Hubschrauberlandeplätze, vier Motorboote und sogar ein U-Boot beherbergt die Megayacht. Besonders beeindruckend ist die Master Suite: Sie erstreckt sich über 5.000 Quadratmeter, abgesichert durch kugelsichere Fenster. Auch ein eigener Garten soll auf dem Schiff vorhanden sein.

Doch endet der Luxus nicht beim Komfort: Die „Eclipse“ ist mit modernster Sicherheitstechnik ausgestattet. Neben gepanzerten Wänden und einem Raketenabwehrsystem soll sie der „Sunday Times“ zufolge über ein Anti-Paparazzi-Laser-System verfügen. Dieser Infrarot-Laser soll die Lichtsensoren in Digitalkameras blenden, um Fotos unbrauchbar zu machen. Außerdem wird das Schiff von Sicherheitskräften schwer bewacht.

Doch gibt es einen Haken: Aufgrund der Sanktionen gegen russische Oligarchen im Zuge des Ukraine-Krieges liegt die Superyacht seit einigen Jahren in der Türkei vor Anker. Der ehemalige Chelsea-Besitzer Abramowitsch kann sein Luxusschiff also nicht nutzen – ein teures Vergnügen. Denn: Die Löhne für die 70 Crewmitglieder, der Hafenplatz und die Wartung kosten jährlich ein kleines Vermögen. Laut „Handelszeitung“ liegen diese Instandhaltungskosten bei stolzen 20 Prozent des ursprünglichen Werts, also ca. 100 Millionen Euro im Jahr.

Unglaubliche Dimensionen: Diese Yacht ist besonders gewaltig

Nicht weniger eindrucksvoll ist die elfenbeinfarbene „Dilbar“ . Das Finanzministerium der USA schätzt den Wert der Luxusyacht auf 600 bis 800 Millionen US-Dollar. Zwar ist sie mit 156 Metern Länge etwas kürzer als die „Eclipse“, mit einem Gewicht von 15.917 Tonnen aber die größte Superyacht, wenn es ums Volumen geht.

Die von Lürssen 2016 in Bremen fertiggestellte Yacht beeindruckt vor allem durch ihre luxuriöse Ausstattung . Mit rund 3.800 Quadratmetern Innenraum bietet das Schiff Platz für 36 Gäste in 20 Kabinen sowie für bis zu 96 Crewmitglieder. An Bord gibt es mehrere Unterhaltungs- und Erholungsbereiche, darunter den größten Indoor-Pool, der jemals auf einer Yacht installiert wurde.

Zudem verfügt die Dilbar über zwei Hubschrauberlandeplätze und einen maßgeschneiderten Airbus-Hubschrauber. Die Reederei Lürssen bezeichnete ihr Luxusschiff einst als „eine der komplexesten und anspruchsvollsten Yachten, die jemals gebaut wurden, sowohl bezüglich ihrer Dimensionen als auch ihrer Technologie“. Kein Wunder also, dass die jährlichen Betriebskosten enorm sind: Das US-Finanzministerium schätzt sie auf etwa 60 Millionen US-Dollar.

Doch: Auch diese Luxusyacht wurde nach dem russischen Angriff auf die Ukraine festgesetzt. Durch die Sanktionen gegen Russland sind die Besitzverhältnisse derzeit etwas unklar. Der auf Schiffe spezialisierten Ortungs-Plattform „VesselFinder“ zufolge liegt die Yacht seit 2022 in Hamburg vor Anker.

Eleganter Luxus: Wieso die „Azzam“ besonder schnell sein muss

Die Nummer drei der teuersten Yachten sorgte bereits bei ihrer Auslieferung 2013 in Bremen für großes Aufsehen: Mit einer Länge von 180,65 Metern ist die „Azzam“ die längste Luxus-Yacht der Welt. Bis zu seinem Tod 2022 gehörte das Schiff dem Präsidenten der Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Mit der Yacht wollte er möglichst schnell seine private Insel vor Abu Dhabi erreichen können. Deswegen liegt bei dieser Yacht der Fokus weniger auf pompösen Luxus, sondern eher auf geschmeidiger Effizienz. Vorgabe des Emirs: Das Schiff sollte möglichst leise und schnell sein. Sogar die Kronleuchter seien darauf ausgelegt, dass sie bei voller Geschwindigkeit nicht klirren.

Dennoch bietet die Superyacht einiges an Luxus: Neben 20 Gästekabinen soll es für die Familie des Scheichs eine kugelsichere Master Suite geben. Gerüchten zufolge soll die „Azzam“ auch ein eigenes Raketenabwehrsystem und U-Boot an Bord haben - offenbar ein verbreitetes Erfordernis für Milliardäre. Wem das Schiff aktuell gehört, ist nicht bekannt. Angenommen wird, dass die Luxusyacht nach dem Tod des Emirs in den Besitz seines Sohnes, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, übergegangen sei.
