A popular destination for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks, The Bridge restaurant enjoys view of the Yacht Haven Marina and is open to the public. The restaurant offers modern European and British food with a casual waterside dining experience.

Spread over two floors, there are inside and outside dining areas on both the ground and first level as well as terrace seating area outside. We had some cakes and drinks outside as it was a good day, taking in the amazing waterside views.

The Bridge Restaurant

Yacht haven quay, plymouth, occupying a picturesque waterside spot with large terraces and a conservatory, this restaurant is a key feature on the mount batten waterfront..

Working together, the Building Services Engineering and Interior Design teams produced the full design and specification for The Bridge Bar and Restaurant- a new build facility located at Plymouth Yacht Haven Marina adjacent to the existing marina building. With large glass windows, open seating and feature decorations, the restaurant is bright and contemporary.

The two storey facility has bar and restaurant areas on both floors, with the kitchen located on the ground floor, and beautiful terraces overlooking the marina. A full, state of the art commercial kitchen was provided and the energy efficient build has underfloor heating and heat recovery of ventilation to reduce energy costs.

The client required a range of lighting effects and the system included feature LED strip lights and dimmable scene setting main lighting. External areas were creatively lit using a variety of fittings and effects.

Plymouth Yacht Haven

Plymouth yacht haven is a 450-berth, naturally protected marina in this historic sailing city.

Visitors to the city shouldn’t miss the charm of the old Barbican area, with the Mayflower steps nearby, from where the Pilgrims started their journey to the New World; the Hoe and Smeaton’s Tower with their views across Plymouth Sound; and the Grade-I Royal William victualling yard, which has been redeveloped with cafes, restaurants and art galleries.

The city hosts maritime races, regattas and events. This year it was the start point for the Transat bakerly and every other year Plymouth Yacht Haven is the finishing port for the Fastnet – a particularly busy time.

The Yacht Havens Group has invested heavily along the Plymouth waterfront and today caters for customers with boats and budgets of all sizes. It has recently developed a new Marine Business Park at Turnchapel Wharf next to Plymouth Yacht Haven, offering a host of opportunities for marine businesses looking to relocate or expand.

Plymouth Yacht Haven is a 450-berth marina that is naturally protected from the southwest by the lie of the land.

The marina gets busy in the summer and booking is advised. It has hosted rallies of Hallberg-Rassys, Drascombe Luggers, and Jeanneau and Legend yachts.

It sponsors the annual 26-mile  Eddystone Charity Sailing Pursuit, which this year raised £78,000 for charity.

There is a whole host of yacht services on site, from upholsterers to electricians, with the workshops and shipwrights housed in Second World War flying boat hangars. “We have got everything on site that you could want for your boat,” says marina manager Steve Kitchen, who adds that he thinks of the marina and berth holders as a community, and therefore tries to anticipate their needs. “When boats come in we take their lines; we are there for them.” The number of staff has doubled in recent years.

Should you wish to moor your boat whilst you visit us for lunch, use VHS channel 80 to speak to Plymouth Yacht Haven or give them a call on 01752 404231 and they will point you in the right direction.

Of course, we also have plenty of car parking right beside The Bridge, including disabled spaces. If this is full there is an additional overflow car park just 50m walk away. To access this head to the barriers by the large hangars just up the hill and press the button for ‘The Bridge’. We will answer the phone and then raise the barrier to let you in!

Plymouth Yacht Haven

Plymouth Yacht Haven lies in the shelter of the Mount Batten peninsula making it well-protected from prevailing south-westerly winds. The largest marina in Plymouth, the Yacht Haven provides full-tide berthing for 450 boats up to 50m LOA.

Staff are on-site 24/7 to provide assistance and to welcome visiting boats. Each berth is serviced with electricity, water and free Wi-Fi.

In addition to berthing, Plymouth Yacht Haven is one of the only marinas in the area to offer a lift-out service, with the ability to hoist up to 75 tons as well as indoor hangar storage and outdoor yard storage. A range of companies are based at the Yacht Haven providing repairs, engineering, rigging and other marine services.

New Dive Library at The Bridge

The UK's first public library exclusively for diving and shipwrecks has opened in The Bridge at Mount Batten.

The new library, called 'The Diver's Library' was opened by Ray Ives, a legendary local diver whose collection of artefacts from shipwrecks is viewable at Ray Ives Museum at Yacht Haven Quay (colloquially known as "Ray's Plaice").

The new library, which is on the first floor at The Bridge bar/restaurant located at Plymouth Yacht Haven, contains over 800 books on diving, underwater archaeology, shipwrecks and nautical treasures is open to the public to browse whenever The Bridge is open. The Library was enable by the brilliant team at SHIPs Project , led by Mallory Haas.
