Sessantadue 62

The essence of a flybridge yacht, in sixty-two feet

The  Cranchi Sessantadue 62  is a new  flybridge yacht with an overall length of 20.15 metres  and hull length of 17.68 metres.

This new model  enhances the line-up of Cranchi Yachts’ Flagship Collection and makes it even more complete , going to join the Settantotto 78 and Sessantasette 67.

For this new project, the art direction has once again been handled by Christian Grande, guaranteeing  family feeling with the company's two widely appreciated larger models . While it may be the smallest of the three,  the Sessantadue 62 ft gives up nothing in terms of having distinctive and peculiar characteristics both in its exterior lines and the choice of interior decor .

Sessantasette 67 Corsa

Sessantasette 67 Corsa

The sportbridge with an Italian character

Corsa, meaning race or running, is a word which has more affinity with freedom than with speed. It indicates a spontaneous way of moving and expressing oneself, a liberating act, the natural search for endorphins and pleasure, the desire to let oneself become drunk with passion, the moment and the outdoors.

cranchi yachts

The  Sessantasette 67 Corsa  is clearly derived from the Sessantasette 67, the flybridge yacht which the Shipyard unveiled in 2022. The differences between the two models are immediately evident, however, if you compare the two profiles. The superstructure of the Corsa is significantly lighter: the third deck indeed takes on  the typical sportbridge layout:   an elegant mini-fly  without t-top. This creates  sleeker lines , giving the yacht a sporty character. The  pulpit which juts out further  compared to the flybridge model and the  red colour accents  which set the new model apart help reinforce this sensation.

Lifestyle pozzetto

The Sessantasette 67 Corsa features an original selection of materials , as can already be seen on the external deck. The caulking of the teak is grey, while the sunbed and seats featuring an elegant contrasting interplay with the vertical surfaces in black leather and the horizontal ones upholstered in lighter fabrics, always with a subtle but evident red bead at the junction between the two tones. These are also stylistic choices which make the character of the yacht's real emotional centre special: the stern cockpit, which is effectively a large outdoor seating area with a Mediterranean flavour . The space offered in the Corsa version is even more generous than that in the flybridge version, precisely because this area is designed for meals, socialising and relaxation at any time of day.

cranchi yachts

The portion of the cockpit sheltered by the upper deck is deep and completely open at the stern to offer a view of the sea or marina free of obstructions. To the sides, two large windows with electric opening provide interplays of light and shadow which are extremely evocative and contribute to the natural ventilation of the area. In order to make this area – served by an extending table, a C-shaped couch and dinette with cooker, refrigerator, icemaker and retractable TV – as liveable as possible, there are also cooling vents for use at the hottest time of the day. Further to the stern, beyond the part covered by the flybridge, is a large sunbed with cushions at the same height as the sofas, to ensure the same uninterrupted view of the sea. For the same reason, the sunbed does not have a fixed backrest, but rather removable cushions which allow the part of the sunbed facing the cockpit to be used as a further seat, served by an original removable pivoting table.

The sunbed is located above the hangar door. In the outside part of the door are stereo speakers to entertain the guests enjoying the beach area . The station features a lift allowing it to raise, lower and move forwards to facilitate launching and recovery of the toys and to ensure the highest levels of comfort for those choosing to relax on the beach area. Opening the door leads to a convenient shower and a garage with sufficient space to house a 3.25 metre tender.

Sessantasette Corsa Pilot house

On the side of the cockpit occupied by the kitchenette is a spectacular staircase with floating treads leading to the flybridge , furnished with corner sofa and sunbed. This is the ideal place to experience sunsets both when anchored and cruising, making use of then compact steering console which allows all the yacht's systems to be controlled.

The concept of the Corsa line excludes the presence of a t-top, a choice which, as well as providing a sleeker profile for the yacht, ensures a lower and more stable centre of gravity and an overall lighter vessel, the latter bolstered by the use of carbon fibre in many components, including the elegant radar mast. The flybridge area can nevertheless be sheltered by a sail sunshade which attaches to four removable rods housed in the lockers incorporated in the sofa. An identical solution can also be used in the part of the cockpit not covered by the flybridge.

Forward of the main deck is an innovative open air living area . In addition to the large sundeck with adjustable backrest, this area offers a real living room set-up with a sofa (in the sailing direction) and two facing armchairs with pivoting tables.

cranchi yachts

The interior of the main deck is designed as an open space, nevertheless with three distinct areas: the living area with dinette, retractable TV, freestanding sofa and coffee table; the perfectly equipped galley ; and the wheelhouse .

cranchi yachts

The living area leads onto the stern outdoor seating area via an elegant glass door, while to starboard, at the level of the control panel, is a door which provides access to the gangways. This door, along with the fully opening door on the side of the galley and the electrically opening upwind companionway hatch, ensure excellent natural ventilation of the interior, as well.

The pilot station is placed centrally for an optimal view, and the large comfortable captain's chair is flanked by a twin seat to make this space welcoming and sociable. The navigation panel is equipped with the very best that electronics can offer today, allowing the owner to manoeuvre the boat and manage all home automation and entertainment systems with ease.

The staircase leading to the lower deck areas opens up in front of the pilot station. The layout and furnishings of the lower deck are the same as in the flybridge version, with the possibility for purchasers to choose between versions with three or four cabins .

Master Suite

The owner’s cabin is full beam, with double bed in a central position. In addition to the walk-in wardrobe , the suite has ample space for a sitting area with armchairs and coffee table (also ideal as a beauty corner ), and a large bathroom designed with three distinct areas: the toilet and shower are, in fact, in separate rooms from the bathroom with its two washbasins. The latter, where light plays on smoked glass, is a continuation of the suite. In the three-cabin layout option, the owner's suite also has an office area which faces outwards on one side, to make the most of the natural light, and has a full-wall mirror on the opposite wall to further extend the perception of the space. The VIP cabin and guest cabin are also extremely spacious, both with their own bathroom and double bed. As an alternative to the office area connected to the owner's suite, you can opt for a fourth cabin with bunk beds .

Further astern are the crew quarters , with two separate beds and a bathroom with shower.

Thanks to the Cranchi Atelier programme, three décor choices developed by Christian Grande are also available for the Sessantasette 67 Corsa. The internationally renowned designer has selected and combined metals, stones, woods and fabrics to best bring out and enhance the yacht's environments, creating three different moods; all expressions of a refined taste, tending towards a more traditional or else a more contemporary style. The choices are inspired by the aesthetic canons of Italian design, starting with the names chosen for the three décor lines: Siracusa, Pisa and Milan.

Cranchi Sessantasette 67 Corsa: three interior design proposals

Three different moods to make the new Cranchi Yachts sportbridge even closer to your desires: discover the decor selected by Christian Grande.

The new model features the same technological equipment and the advanced home automation and entertainment system as the Sessantasette 67, as well as identical engines . The engine room indeed houses two Volvo Penta D13 in-line six-cylinder engines, each capable of providing 1000 HP when necessary. Alongside two IPS3 pods, they form a compact, reliable and manageable solution which, combined with the lower overall weight of the yacht compared to the flybridge version, ensures even smoother sailing and further reduced fuel consumption .

Settantotto 78

Settantotto 78

A new dimension of beauty

The 25 metre Settantotto is a grand exhibit, crafted with the utmost attention to detail; a concept of beauty that is both modern and classic, essential but not minimal…timeless. She has a fluid form without distinct edges, conveying a natural sense of balance. The design choices by Christian Grande - who worked closely with the Shipbuilding Research Centre- are not excessive, forced or aggressive. Yet this model exhibits the power that you can expect from any flagship. Her smooth and muscular forms are equipped to take on the sea in any condition: the perfect hull, a tall and splaying bow, and a pronounced gunwale.

Cranchi Settantotto - Side view

Also, the expressive combination of colours used for the structure and superstructure, the latter being visibly lighter, has enhanced the yacht’s sleek and sinuous forms and  the feeling of sheer amazement when you discover the spacious environments and generous volumes dedicated to the internal areas , filled with natural light, as can be seen from the symmetrical subtractions in the hull, on the main and lower decks.

As a form of attention to the owners, Cranchi Yachts asked Christian Grande, an internationally renowned designer and art director of the Settantotto, to create the colour palettes that could best enhance the stylistic choices of the yacht. Thus were born three sets of proposals, declined in eleven versions, all fascinating and with absolute elegance but capable of expressing different moods. Each owner will be able to find the combination most in tune with his tastes or start from these suggestions to imagine his ideal palette. The version with Panama Supremo-coloured hull and gloss black T-Top  is shown in these photos.

Freedom without boundaries

The main deck and fly comprise large open spaces with dedicated areas for socialising and relaxing, from bow to stern. There is also an adjoining beach platform which can be accessed safely and easily. The beach deck includes a lift which can be raised, lowered or moved forward. The deck can also be transformed into an immense terrace overlooking the sea, thanks to the extra surface area provided by the teak clad garage. The garage storage compartment comprises a large space for tender and a jet ski which can be separated from the area closest to the beach used for the chaise longues.

Abundant space, elegance and functionality are also features of the square deck where the kitchen, living room and relaxation area are distributed optimally. There is also an extra bathroom on the main deck, an unusual component for a yacht of this size.

Cranchi Settantotto - Salon

The decor presented on this page is one of the five interior design proposals conceived for the Settantotto by Christian Grande, in collaboration with the  Cranchi Research and Development Department. Inspired by the city of Venice, this decor stands out for its surprising accents: orange leather and lacquers, warm-toned marbles, mirrored glass with amber reflections and a lively contrast between glossy and matte surfaces.

Your new comfort zone

The layout below deck comprises four en-suite cabins: three large doubles and one twin bed. All the beds are positioned lengthways along the bow-stern axis to guarantee maximum comfort while you rest. The rooms are furnished in a refined and elegant style. The full beam owner’s cabin is located at the heart of the yacht with a walk in wardrobe, small study or ‘beauty corner’, making it feel like a luxury suite. Sophisticated elegance and maximum comfort are distinguishing features of the bow VIP cabin. The cabin used mainly for storing equipment is also comfortable, equipped with twin beds and a separate bathroom and shower. The seaman’s cabin, which can be accessed separately with respect to other areas of the yacht, is also used as a laundry room and includes a washing machine and tumble dryer. This room is located between the engine room and the owner’s cabin to ensure maximum acoustic comfort in the sleeping quarters thanks to the high quality sound insulating bulkheads.

Cranchi Settantotto - Master cabin

In perfect harmony with the choices of art direction, the Settantotto is furnished with elements of the Flexform collections, an historic and dynamic Made in Italy furniture brand.

To make your experience on board even more enjoyable and comfortable, each area is equipped with an entertainment and home automation system , which you can control easily from your smartphone or the navigation panel thanks to the Garmin glass cockpit, providing easy access to all systems.

Insulation and sound damping systems have been implemented in all areas of the yacht, with special attention to the machine room. This space has been designed with meticulous attention to detail, including design choices that facilitate access, mobility, maintenance activities and especially safety. The layout and choices of materials have also been carefully determined, prioritising stainless steel and aluminium and fibreglass fuel reserve tanks to ensure no leakage and infiltration can occur.

The machine room houses three straight six-cylinder Volvo Penta D13 each of which can reach 1000 HP when necessary. Along with IPS3 pods, these create a compact, trustworthy and manageable solution, ideal for a yacht of this size.

The machine room also houses two generators: a solution implemented to increase efficiency, reduce fuel consumption as well as the likelihood of breaking down.

All the systems on board, including the fire-prevention system, represent the state-of-the-art in the nautical industry’s technology and are designed and installed in a way that facilitates their maintenance.

The Humphree system is another unrivalled design, guaranteeing stability and ideal configuration while sailing and in port, comprising stabilising carbon fins, an interceptor blade and an electronic control unit for immediate and effective configuration corrections.

Sessantasette 67

Sessantasette 67

Next generation flybridge

Here is the new yacht that will enrich the Cranchi flybridge range. With a length over all that exceeds 67 feet (20.8 meters), the new model is called Sessantasette, like the number, written in full and in Italian. It is the same principle for which the shipyard's flagship is called Settantotto, meaning that this yacht gives much more than its length might suggest . It offers the best of Made in Italy design and style, superior technical solutions and an unmistakable and already iconic line.

Cranchi Sessantasette 67ft - Bow

The family feeling linking it with the Settantotto is immediately obvious: it has the same sleek profile, splaying bow and pronounced high and protective gunwale, giving the yacht a naval allure . The project was a collaboration between the Cranchi Yachts Research Development Department and Christian Grande, entrusted with the art direction aspect. The lines and shape that characterise this yacht are emblematic, complementing and echoing each other throughout the various elements of the profile. One example is the line extending from the curve of the stern hatch to the part of the fly that juts out, or between the outline of the windows and the break in the centre of the bulwark. This break provides an elegant reduction in volume on the side of the yacht, from the gunwale to the stringer, enhancing the panoramic view from the large windows that surround the saloon. The dining room will have an uninterrupted view of the sea, with nothing to obstruct natural light from flooding the internal space.

"The break in the bulwark also has a precise graphic form, mirrored by the windows below deck. This is one of the design cues that make the yacht's profile a stand-out feature of the new model and Cranchi Yachts' new flybridge line." says Christian Grande. "When you work on projects for this historic brand though, you never stop at style alone; t he people who choose yachts from this shipyard are very knowledgeable and look for practicality and value in addition to aesthetics ."

That's why many of the Sessantasette's key attributes can only be discovered by climbing aboard and experiencing them first hand. Prepare to be amazed as spaces and surfaces seem to expand and multiply.

This feeling emerges most of all in the saloon - a refined living area, elevated by furnishings that lend a strong personality . Owners will be able to choose a sofa (measuring over two metres) from a selection offered by leading design houses. The square dining table with rounded corners comes with a choice of a bronze smoked glass or imperial grey marble top, and can be surrounded by eight chairs or armchairs. The other furniture and accessories have a contemporary and luxury finish, including a bookcase, a cabinet with retractable TV and an elegant sideboard equipped with wine storage.

Cranchi Sessantasette 67ft - Salon

The saloon is part of an open space area that also includes the galley and wheelhouse , but the whole zone is elegantly divided by a spectacular backdrop that separates the lounge and dining room from the service areas. The galley is fully equipped and it's located on the port side, with the wheelhouse on the right. Both spaces have been conceived as capsules linked with the other spaces , but which can also remain separate. Like the saloon, these two areas have excellent ventilation too: there's a fully opening galley side window, a door on the right connecting the pilot station to the gangway, and finally the upwind companionway hatch in the centre, which opens with an electric mechanism.

The main door to the side is not the only superyacht feature on the Sessantasette's wheelhouse. The pilot station is placed centrally for an optimal view , and the large comfortable captain's chair is flanked by a twin seat to make this space welcoming and sociable. Needless to say, the navigation panel is ahead of its time and equipped with the very best that electronics can offer today, allowing you to manoeuvre the boat and manage all home automation and entertainment systems with ease . The staircase leading to the lower deck opens up in front of the pilot station. The staircase itself is a design feature taken from the original project. Its lines, form and light points give a hint of the magic that awaits on the deck housing the cabins.

Space and volume appear to expand below deck as well, particularly in the full-beam owner's cabin . The double bed is centrally placed and features a slightly curved headboard that draws around to embrace, enclose and lend an air of luxury, as does the original glossy leather upholstery applied with a sophisticated pleated effect. In addition to the walk-in wardrobe , the suite has ample space for a sitting area with armchairs and coffee table (also ideal as a beauty corner ), and a large bathroom designed with three distinct areas : the toilet and shower are, in fact, in separate rooms from the bathroom with its two washbasins. The latter, where light plays on smoked glass, is a continuation of the suite. In the three-cabin layout option, the owner's suite also has an office area which faces outwards on one side, to make the most of the natural light, and has a full-wall mirror on the opposite wall to further extend the perception of the space. The VIP cabin and guest cabin are extremely spacious, both with their own bathroom and double bed . As an alternative to the office area connected to the owner's suite, you can opt for a fourth cabin with bunk beds .

The warm tone and relaxed elegance of the interiors is also conveyed by the décor choices based on light shades, with blonde woods and sand-coloured leather, and predominantly opaque surfaces that are easy on the eye. Imperial grey marble embellishes the bathrooms, while dark and polished features such as flamed woods or mocha-coloured leather appear both in the cabins and saloon, creating accents and focal points that lend movement and variety to the spaces.

The spaces below deck echo the pleasant and constant feeling of freedom already noted in the saloon, and which is obviously even more pronounced in the outdoor areas.

The cockpit is bordered in the stern with a large seating area which can be further extended with two armchairs or more and a low table, creating a lounge area that's perfect for relaxing and welcoming guests as they come on board. Alternatively, if you prefer to use this part of the boat as a terrace, you can choose to add another 6/8-person dining table : the stern sofa is the perfect height for this set-up too.

The stand-out feature of the cockpit is the spectacular staircase leading to the flybridge . It's a space that lends itself to being used at any time of the day, whether your "mission" is to sail, have lunch, enjoy a drink or relax.

Cranchi Sessantasette 67ft - Sidewalk

Carry on up the staircase and you reach the third deck living area . This superbly equipped area features a wet bar or kitchenette, a TV cabinet and an elegant dinette with an extendable table surrounded by comfortable seating. The whole area is sheltered by a high-tech, lightweight and durable T-top ; part of the roof opens with a slat system, creating slivers of suggestive light and shadow that evoke the iconic beauty of Mediterranean pergolas.

Forward on the right side is the fly pilot station , where you can enjoy the best views from the yacht and fully savour the charm of sea travel. The dashboard is futuristic, minimal and extremely elegant , with aesthetics and features borrowed from the automotive sector. It ensures easy access to all the commands - with the latest technology (dock sense) - necessary for yacht navigation, control and management. The wheelhouse has a large double-seat armchair and there's also another double armchair on the port side, enabling the sailing moment to be turned into a social activity and at the same time creating a sort of linear border between the control area and the living area behind it.

In the stern, usually the most pleasantly ventilated area of the yacht, there's a large open terrace providing space for all your needs and offering the shade of a bimini. Equipped with a shower, it's ideal as a sundeck with two sunbeds or chaise longues.

Back down on the main deck, two large and safe symmetrical walkways to the right and left of the deckhouse, protected by a high gunwale, lead to the innovative open-air living space created in the bow of the main deck . In addition to the large sundeck with adjustable backrest, this area offers a real living room set-up with a sofa (in the sailing direction) and two facing armchairs with pivoting tables. To further improve the level of practicality and comfort, space has also been made for ever-useful lockers, a mini-fridge and a shower.

In the stern, a large door - which continues the look of the cockpit sofa - opens onto the beach area which can be reached safely and easily, and be comfortably fitted out with chaise longues . Equipped with a lift that allows it to rise, lower and move forward, the pilot station can be transformed into an immense terrace overlooking the sea, thanks to the extraordinary surface area provided by the teak-clad garage compartment. Opening the compartment door, the hangar is revealed. It's so spacious that it can accommodate a tender of 3.25 metres (or even longer if equipped with a rapid inflation/deflation system on the front section) .

The seamen's quarters are also in the area below the cockpit, fitted out with two separate beds (not bunk beds) and a bathroom with shower. A double bed can be installed in the crew cabin, upon request. Access to the engine room, a true treasure trove of technology , is from the side of the deckhouse to ensure greater privacy for guests.

Following on from the experience gained with the Settantotto, the new Sessantasette also features extraordinary technology including an advanced home automation system combined with entertainment devices, and most importantly a wealth of hi-tech materials . Cranchi Yachts has taken the use of carbon, aramid and other hi-tech fibres to a level never before seen in the yachting sector. The shipyard has developed a matrix of resins and fibres suitable, in terms of directionality and malleability, for the needs of the nautical industry and able to withstand the type of stress to which a boat is subjected, thereby improving the resistance and performance of the hull and other structures while at the same time obtaining a lighter vessel. Weight reduction was one of the most crucial aims in the design of the Sessantasette, leading to the decision to use carbon fibre in many parts of the boat including the hull, internal decking, T-top and the swimming platform. A lighter weight has a clear value in terms of sustainability, allowing for limited fuel consumption with the same performance level. The use of hi-tech fibres also makes it possible to reduce the use of vinyl resins, further improving the yacht's environmental footprint. In its research work into the use of carbon fibre, Cranchi Yachts took inspiration from the automotive and aerospace sectors, taking interesting ideas and reworking them to meet its own needs. The same holds true for many of the other features too, including the paints, the adhesive fixatives that avoid the need for screws or rivets and thereby reduce vibration, the soundproofing and sound-absorbing materials, and the barriers that dampen noise and vibrations, ensuring unrivalled acoustic qualities for a motor yacht in this segment. Here too, the Sessantasette offers far more than its size suggests.
