Feadship finished building motor yacht HAMPSHIRE in 2001. Therefore, she is built in the Netherlands. HAMPSHIRE had yacht design and naval architecture created by De Voogt Naval Architects and De Voogt Naval Architects. This superyacht HAMPSHIRE is able to accommodate the sum total of 12 passengers all told aboard together with around 15 qualified crew. Finished and launched for 2001 this boat’s interior design and decor reflects the design knowledge of owner and John Munford.
M/Y HAMPSHIRE was built by Feadship De Vries Scheepsbouw in 2001 as Barbara Jean (she is said to be commissioned by the former owner of Lady Columbo.) She has since been refitted at Compositeworks in La Ciotat where a new interior to a design of Redman Whiteley & Dixon was installed.
De Voogt Naval Architects was the naval architect firm involved in the formal superyacht design work for HAMPSHIRE. Also the company De Voogt Naval Architects expertly worked on this undertaking. Interior designer John Munford was responsible for the internal interior ambience. In 2001 she was formally launched with accolade in Aalsmeer and post sea trials and finishing touches was afterwards passed on to the owner who commissioned her. The Feadship De Vries Shipyard completed their new build motor yacht in the Netherlands. A fairly large area is achieved with a total beam (width) of 9.6 m or 31.5 feet. With a 2.8m (9.2ft) draught (maximum depth) she is shallow. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure above deck is fashioned out of aluminium. In 2005 further refitting and modernisation was also performed.
The 3512B DITA engine installed in the motor yacht is made by CATERPILLAR. She is driven by twin screw propellers. The main engine of the yacht gives 1520 horse power (or 1118 kilowatts). She is fitted with 2 engines. The total thrust for the yacht is thus 3040 HP or 2237 KW. With respect to stabalisers she was supplied with Koopnautic. The bow thrusters are Hrp.
Bestowing quarters for a maximum of 12 yacht guests overnighting, the HAMPSHIRE accommodates them in luxury. She also uses around 15 proficient crew members to maintain and sail.

Authorities have successfully refloated and removed the 37.8-metre motor yacht Lovebug from Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, US. The yacht took on water and ran aground in the West River last month (27 July) and had remained partially sunk ever since.
Salvage works were slated to begin on 13 August but suffered some delays as a result of Tropical Storm Debby, which brought strong winds and tides to the area.
According to local reports, Lovebug is being towed to New Jersey, after which it will be transported to a shipyard along the Maurice River. There are three shipyards in the area: Dorchester Shipyard, Delaware Bay Shipbuilding Co., and Yank Marine LLC.
Donjon Marine Co. of New York and New Jersey is leading the salvage operation. As a vessel without power, Lovebug is being towed alongside a 60.9-metre crane barge called Farrell 256 for safety.
According to BOATPro , Lovebug was bound for Annapolis, Maryland's capital city, when the incident occurred.
A statement released by the US Coast Guard shortly after the incident occurred assured that "there [were] no reports of pollution at this time," with an oil boom deployed around the vessel to mitigate any potential spills. There is yet to be an update on any pollution that has resulted from Lovebug 's remaining submerged.
"The five persons on board were safely recovered by a good Samaritan and a tow boat," continued the statement. "The vessel is not impeding the navigational channel."
Built in 2010 under the name Anastasia M , Lovebug is designed inside and out by Italian studio Francesco Paszkowski Design . The superyacht has changed hands several times and was most recently sold in 2021 at a last known asking price of $7,995,000. She was also a regular on the yacht charter circuit.
Features of the yacht include a sundeck that comes with a small swimming pool, bar and sunpads. Accommodation is for 11 guests and seven crew.
The cause of the incident is unknown.

An American technology company says it will continue to pursue £3bn worth of damages against Mike Lynch’s estate, despite his recent death in a superyacht disaster.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) won the multi-billion-pound High Court claim against the British tech tycoon in 2022, over fraud claims involving the sale of Dr Lynch’s firm Autonomy in 2011.
However, his death aboard the Bayesian yacht , which sank during a freak storm on 19 August off the coast of Sicily, means that his family could be liable for the payout.
In a statement, HPE said: “In 2022, an English High Court judge ruled that HPE had substantially succeeded in its civil fraud claims against Dr Lynch and Mr Hussain.
“A damages hearing was held in February 2024 and the judge’s decision regarding damages due to HPE will arrive in due course. It is HPE’s intention to follow the proceedings through to their conclusion.”
Dr Lynch was cleared in a separate criminal trial involving the sale of Autonomy in June, with his boat trip said to be a gathering among friends, close colleagues and his legal team to celebrate his acquittal.
HPE won its civil case in the UK over claims that Dr Lynch and his company’s former finance chief, Sushovan Hussain, had inflated the revenus of the firm before the takeover.
In a hearing earlier this year, HPE said it was seeking £3bn in damages, with a judge expected to rule on it later this year.
Dr Lynch died alongside his 18-year-old daughter Hannah and five others after his superyacht sank during the early hours of the morning in a suspected tornado.
After becoming trapped in the ship’s hull, he was killed along with Morgan Stanley chairman Jonathan Bloomer, his wife Judith, Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo, his wife Neda, and the yacht’s cheft Recaldo Thomas.
Rescuers saved 15 passengers from the water, with three of the crew members now under investigation. This includes the ship’s captain James Cutfield, who is being probed for possible manslaughter and culpable shipwreck charges.

SYDNEY (AP) — Two people were rescued unharmed Tuesday after spending a night aboard a disabled yacht in heavy seas off the Australian coast.
The 60-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman were rescued at 7:30 a.m. from their 19-meter (62-foot) yacht, which was abandoned 300 kilometers (185 miles) east of the New South Wales state coast, Police Chief Inspector Anthony Brazzill said. The pair were expected to reach Sydney aboard a police boat Tuesday night.
The pair had activated their emergency beacon around 1 p.m. Monday, about 185 kilometers (115 miles) east of the New South Wales coastal town of Nowra, police said.
The yacht, “Spirit of Mateship,” had experienced a mechanical failure, lost a rudder, was taking water and was drifting east away from the shore, Brazzill said. With an ocean swell of 5 to 6 meters (16 to 20 feet) and winds of up 110 kilometers (70 miles) per hour, he said, conditions were considered too dangerous to attempt a rescue in the dark.

An air force C-130 Hercules transport plane flew to the yacht and made radio contact with the two people onboard. A police boat and an Australian navy warship reached the yacht early Tuesday.
Brazzill said a winching rescue by military helicopter was considered, but ruled out as too dangerous because of the sea conditions.
The pair were rescued in a small craft launched from the police boat, he said.

Company won the British civil case over the collapse of Lynch's Autonomy Corp
Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. said it intends to pursue the $4 billion damages claim in London against the estate of the recently deceased British tech tycoon Mike Lynch.
Just over a week after the bodies of Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter, Hannah, were recovered from the wreck of his sunken yacht, the US company said it planned to collect any damages that are awarded by a London court. HPE won the British civil case over the collapse of Lynch's Autonomy Corp. and is waiting for a judge to decide how much it is owed.
"It is HPE's intention to follow the proceedings through to their conclusion," the company said in a statement Monday.
The decision to move forward puts HPE on a reputational tightrope. While a UK civil claim automatically ensures that the case passes to the estate of a defendant in the event of a death, the prospect of pursuing the money from Lynch's family is likely to be deeply unpopular after the tragedy.
"It was likely that they were going to face criticism going ahead with a claim against his grieving widow," said Robin Henry, a partner at law firm Collyer Bristow, who isn't involved in the case. "I think they are trying to mitigate the reputational damage by saying they are under an obligation to protect the interests of HPE's shareholders."
A spokesperson for Lynch's family declined to comment. The Times of London reported on the case earlier.
After one of the longest and most expensive trials in British history, Judge Robert Hildyard ruled in 2022 that Lynch had fraudulently boosted the value of the company. "One of the tragedies of the case is clear: an innovative and ground-breaking product, its architect and the company will probably always be associated with fraud," the judge said in the ruling.
In total, HPE was seeking $4 billion from Lynch and his finance chief, but the judge had cautioned that it was likely to get substantially less than that.
Lynch died after his luxury yacht foundered in severe weather off the coast of Sicily. He was celebrating his acquittal from US criminal charges with a small group of advisers when the storm struck. His wife, Angela Bacares, managed to escape with her life, while Lynch's other daughter wasn't on board at the time.
