Tiki 26 Building Time and Costs
The whole process of building took us six months, approximately 2000 work hours. We spend about 15k to empty and 24k to full equiped boat. Not cheap and also not expensive.

| To choose a boat is no picnic. There are many questions and the choice depends on several things, the aim and the area of sailing included. | We started to build the catamaran in the beginning of July in our backyard. In three weeks the rough construction of the first boat was peaking out of our home garage. | We need to put on the epoxy overlay evenly. Exceptional care is shown towards the edges. Air bubbles under rowing in these spots will only cause damage. | Getting all the parts together and putting the cataraman to work was made possible through the help of good people. My endless appreciation goes out to all of them. |
| Ariki is a completely new boat with edge over others. This is the first time he sails the sea. | I still could not figure out if something was wrong with Ariki or were the sails really the problem. The sailmaker said back then that the mast should stand 30 cm forwards. | I sailed like they used to sail in the old days. Hours and hours on a bench with a steering in my hand. It was nice despite the burning sun, during the moon shining, or a storm raging. | One of the most common questions from our viewers is how much it costs. |
