Benetti is back in the spotlight at the world’s most exclusive yachting event, the Monaco Yacht Show, from September 27 to 30, 2023. Benetti, the storied Italian shipyard that celebrates its 150th anniversary this year, is returning to the Monaco Yacht Show to meet up with its customers in an atmosphere of pure exclusiveness and charm. The Principality of Monaco has always been the perfect location for yachts built by Benetti, the undisputed leader in the world of super and mega yachts and a byword for design excellence.  Exhibited at the show as world premiere will be two models from the B.Now 50M line, a family of steel mega yachts with interiors designed by Benetti’s Style Department in collaboration with UK-based studio RWD, which handled the exterior styling.

M/Y “FANTASEA” (B.NOW 50M)

With its spacious 36-square-metre beach club, a stern pool on the Main Deck and a forward Jacuzzi on the Sun Deck, this superyacht is an invitation to enjoy outdoor life. Unlike its predecessors, the yacht has a comfortable steam room in the beach area for total relaxation. All the outdoor furnishings are made to measure to the owner’s specifications, while the yacht’s large glass doors produce the feeling of indoor-outdoor continuity. The interiors, designed by Benetti’s Interior Style Department, are modern spaces with top quality ceramic finishes. 

M/Y “ALUNYA” (B.NOW 50M)

Another Benetti eye-catcher at the Monaco Show will be “Alunya”. This 50-metre yacht is the second model in the B.Now family to feature the Oasis Deck™, the solution with which Benetti has redefined the traditional stern swim platform with hydraulically operated terraces that open out across the entire breadth of the deck to offer a formidable 110-square-metre beach club. The Oasis Deck™ ensures an unimpeded 270° view astern. The beach area also has a glass-walled infinity pool and numerous conviviality spaces.

Benetti will be at the Monaco Yacht Show (Quai des États-Unis, Stand QE22) from September 27 to 30.

Following the success achieved at the Cannes Yachting Festival, Benetti will participate with two premières at the 31st edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, the largest international exhibition dedicated to the world of superyachts.

The Monaco Yacht Show confirms itself as a precious moment for Benetti aimed at promoting creative excellence in the nautical world, where the most significant models of the Shipyard will be presented to the market and important novelties will be anticipated during the Press Conference that will take place on Thursday, September 29th, at the Hermitage Hotel. At the Monaco Yacht Show the Shipyard will present the new B.Now 50M M/Y Iryna and Custom 65M M/Y Triumph.

M/Y Iryna FB602, the first unit of the B.Now 50M, combines modernity, innovation and functionality, inaugurating a range that includes, in addition to the 50-metre, three models of 60, 67 and 72 metres. The yacht is an expression of the craftsmanship, design know-how and construction quality of Benetti which, together with the RWD design studio, responsible for the exteriors, shares the desire to break the mould of classic yacht design to create new paradigms. The external lines, in a visual harmony of the decks from stern to bow, develop in constant contact with the sea.

B.Now 50M M/Y Iryna focuses on the haut de gamme quality of life on board; almost half of the living area is external and the interiors, which can be totally customised, represent the tradition of Benetti’s high craftsmanship. Custom 65M M/Y Triumph FB270 is one of the most recent megayachts launched by Benetti. Developed over 65 metres in length, it features 5 enclosed decks plus a Sundeck extending in an extremely balanced ratio between volumes and length. The sleek, sculpted exterior lines are the work of Cassetta Yacht Designers, Benetti’s style office took care of the interiors and the Green & Mingarelli Design studio handled the decoration. Triumph offers high hull efficiency and ensures quiet sailing for long-range travel in maximum comfort. This year the mega yacht M/Y Triumph 65M also took the top step of the podium at the World Superyacht Awards in the Displacement Motor Yachts, 1,000GT to 1,499GT category.

The Monaco International Boat Show will also be the occasion to present Diamond 44M Emuna, flagship of the Class category; a yacht characterised by imposing and solemn external lines, designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta, which are matched by spacious interiors with a contemporary atmosphere, designed by Benetti’s Interior Style Department.

Benetti Yachts evolves the B.Century family and launches the innovative 85M “Project ORO”. Several collaborations with established international naval design and architecture studios are planned. The calendar of the launches is complete, as are the deliveries of the new models.

The evolution of Benetti Yachts, new B.Now and B.Century designs

At the 31st Monaco Yacht Show , Benetti Yachts presented its future strategy, based on tradition, innovation and engineering, thanks also to collaboration with international naval design and architecture studios.

The investments made over the last few years are bearing fruit, as Marco Valle, CEO of the Azimut|Benetti Group , confirms: “ Almost a month after the start of the new yachting season, a record-breaking 23 launches are planned, almost two a month. The prospects for the future are very positive: we began in September with the launch of a 50m B. Now and will conclude in August with the launch of a 68m B.Century. The order backlog is trending upwards, with new model deliveries planned until 2027”.

The B.Now and B.Century families available with traditional, hybrid or diesel electric propulsion . Azimut|Benetti has been committed to the development of different types of propulsion for more than 10 years, supporting the reduction of environmental impact, for an increasingly sustainable boating industry.

B.Now, spaces connected with the sea

These new models join the family composed of the 50, 60, 67 and 72M and have become one of Benetti ‘s bestsellers, thanks to the 20 units already sold.

Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design , through the testimony of Paul Costerus, Senior Yacht Designer & https://www.benettiyachts.it/ Project Manager , traced the lines of the interiors that distinguish the B.Now 67M Oasis in concept and size.

Interiors and exteriors have a continuity, highlighted by the sliding windows on the main deck and the large windows.

The construction process of the new B.Now 60M was described by Andrew Collett, RWD Project Manager. The lines enhance the Oasis Deck solution by favouring the use of natural light and a continuity with the sea. The interior and exterior spaces can be redefined into new hospitality destinations, according to the needs of the owner and his guests, for a dynamic and informal, yet elegant and refined life on board.

B.Century, bespoke solutions

Created in the wake of the success of the multi-award-winning Triumph (65 m) – premiered at the Monaco Yacht Show – Metis (63 m), Zazou (65 m) and Calex (67 m), the B. Century family includes five custom yachts designed from an engineered platform. Century family includes custom yachts built from an engineered platform that has been enriched with no less than five models designed to offer unique solutions, distinguished by their distinctive aesthetics: two 55-metre designs, one with a generous Sun Deck open on all sides, and the other with the Upper Deck transformed into an Owner Deck with a bow master suite and private terrace.

A 62-metre yacht with unbeatable content, a rational and elegant 68-metre yacht and a 75-metre yacht that introduces new layout concepts, such as the unprecedented Pool Club and Sea Club solution conceived on two different levels. Each yacht is unique in terms of stylistic innovation, layout and on-board concept. “ A distinctive feature is the formal cleanliness of the continuous signs that describe the yachts’ shapes, the flow of lines runs uninterrupted describing volumes that unmistakably express Benetti’s stylistic identity “.

Benetti Project Oro, luxury and sustainability

‘Project ORO’ is a design dedicated to yachts over 80 metres, using the most modern propulsion technology and minimizing dimensional impact. “ During the development of “Project ORO ,” says Giorgio M. Cassetta, “ we wanted to seize the opportunity to express numerous innovative concepts, aspiring to bring them together in a unique yacht. By developing a language of style featuring great visual purity and strong characterization of the main masses, and by renouncing the criteria of civil architecture in favour of a freer and more fluid approach, we have tried to propel the project into an attainable future. We hope the bold content recognises a series of desires that customers in this size range frequently express and are unlikely to have found fulfilled by the boats they have looked at so far”.

Monaco Yacht Show 2024: The Biggest, Boldest and Most Expensive Superyachts To See

Even in its 33rd year, Monaco Yacht Show continues to break its own milestones.

The principality of Monaco has a calendar that’s filled with major events. While the financial benefits of this little tax haven ensure its population remains fairly well stocked with super-rich and socialites year-round, it’s these events that truly bring the masses. April calls for the tennis at The Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters; in May it’s time for the Formula One Grand Prix ; June brings the world-famous car show Top Marques ; and summer draws to a close with perhaps the most glam of the bunch, the Monaco Yacht Show, which this year falls on September 25 – 28.

For those interested in gazing upon some of the finest yachts that can be found anywhere in the world, Monaco ’s Port Hercules is a pretty good spot year-round, but for the weekend of the Monaco Yacht Show, things enter a different league.

The Monaco Yacht Show is essentially a gathering of the global superyacht community. From owners to innovators, manufacturers and brokers, all head to the principality. Each year, builders and brokers present around 120 superyachts and 60 luxury tenders , with many of these reflecting current industry trends and revealing the potential future direction of the industry. These vessels boast an average length of around 160 ft, with a sprinkling of superyachts that top the 320 ft mark – with this year’s headliner clocking in at 400 ft.

Aside from the yachts themselves, visitors can expect countless designers improving yacht interiors and engineers working to ensure the industry becomes more sustainable. There’s sure to be a lot going on.

So ahead of this year’s event, Elite Traveler has looked into which yachts will be on display at Port Hercules and curated a list of some of the show’s unmissable vessels. So blow the dust off your Panama hat and add a few zeros to your credit card limit, because these are some of the biggest, boldest and most expensive boats attending the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show.

H3: The Market’s Most Expensive Superyacht Debuts a New Design

The undisputed biggest headline of this year’s show – in every sense of the word – Lürssen’s Kismet will be the largest yacht to go on display in Port Hercules. While the previous title holder was another from Lürssen, the 377.6-ft Ahpo, the Kismet takes its victory by a considerable mile, clocking in at 400 ft. Previously known as Project Jag, the Kisamet was handed over to owner Shahid Khan in May 2024, making it one of the show’s newest deliveries, too. 

With exterior design by Nuvolari Lenard and naval architecture by Lürssen Yachts along with Reymond Langton Design working on the yacht’s interiors , Kismet is decked out with a helipad, beauty salon, indoor and outdoor cinema, dance floor and gym. Perhaps unsurprising, but all this makes Kisamet one of the most expensive yachts to charter , too, asking for €3m (approx. $3.4m) per week with Cecil Wright & Partners.

Delivered in 2019 by SilverYachts and refitted in 2024, the almost 280-ft, self-described ‘sports activity vessel’ Bold takes center stage at Monaco Yacht Show 2024. Designers Espen Øino created the superyacht’s striking, military-inspired exterior, creating a unique glass-enclosed loft on the upper deck that covers over 3,200 sq-ft of interior space. Meanwhile, Vain Interiors has created an opulent, New York-style loft, which is built to accommodate up to 12 overnight guests in eight luxurious staterooms and can carry up to 96 passengers while cruising.

With a a huge selection of water toys, a vast outdoor entertaining area with a bar and Teppanyaki grill, a cinema, an eight-person hot tub and a lounge surrounding a firepit, it’s no surprise that the Bold is a popular charter yacht, with Holl Robinson asking €875,000 ($972, 800) per week. 

Following an extensive, three-year rebuild, the most expensive superyacht on the market has returned to Port Hercules for 2024, complete with a new look – and price tag, too, asking for €295m ($328m). The 344.5-ft Oceanco H3 superyacht has already picked up a handful of international awards for the new look and is expected to impress many fans at Monaco Yacht Show 2024. 

In addition to the extra 10 meters that were added to the H3 ’s hull, the rebuild – from the likes of Reymond Langton Design, which worked on both the exterior and interior redesign, and the collaboration between Lateral Naval Architects and Oceanco on its naval architecture – also saw a pool deck, huge spa and wellness area and climate-controlled winter garden added to H3 ’s numerous amenities.

With its distinctive, shark-like exterior design, the 295-ft superyacht DAR will be hard not to miss at Monaco Yacht Show 2024. Built by Oceanco with exteriors designed by Luiz de Basto Design, the glossy black silhouette was inspired by the look of the hammerhead shark, with sinuous lines, wide set wing stations and a mast modeled after a dorsal fin. 

Meanwhile, renowned Italy-based studio Nuvolari & Lenard has crafted swooping, contemporary interiors. DAR’s impressive features include a complete owner’s deck, complete with a private salon and jacuzzi, a wellness area, an impressive beach club, and two helipads for private use. Offering grandeur and complete privacy in equal doses, DAR can accommodate up to 14 guests in overnight accommodation, with separate living quarters to host as many as 31 crew members.

Despite only hitting the waters in June this year, the first wallywind110, Galma , is set to make its global debut at Monaco Yacht Show 2024. Measuring almost 110 ft, Galma ’s naval architecture comes from German studio judel/vrolijk & co while interior and exterior lines are designed by Wally in collaboration with Santa Maria Magnolfi. With a design that offers the comfort of a cruising yacht while maintaining the performance of a racing boat, Galma is characterized by the 22.6-ft telescopic keel and an all-carbon hull that has been painted in light metallic blue.

Other highlights of Galma include an 860-sq-ft full-beam cockpit with seating and dining for up to 15 people, as well as an open-plan raised saloon. Galma can accommodate up to eight guests overnight, with five crew members.

UK-based design firm RWD developed the exterior design and decor, creating areas devoted to entertainment and relaxation on every deck. The high points of the 108-meter steel yacht are the Observation Deck and the outdoor fireplace on the Bridge Deck, while the interiors by the Benetti Interior Style Department are also a joy to discover.

Designed to cross thousands of miles of ocean without needing to refuel, “IJE” has a majestic and determined profile as befits the largest yacht that an Italian privately-owned shipyard has ever built, representing the perfect combination of important engineering features and the customary elegance of the Benetti brand.

The Monaco Yacht Show will provide the backdrop for another important debut on the international stage. Also making her first appearance on the scene, M/Y “Zazou” is a 65-meter full custom steel yacht designed to offer 12 guests endless opportunities for relaxation, leisure activities and amusement, all set in an elegant and modern ambience. At their complete disposal is one of the largest Sun Decks in the category: 20 meters equipped with an infinity pool, a gym, a bar, a comfortable sheltered dining space and a sunbathing area that converts into a magical open-air cinema in the evening. The exteriors on the Upper and Main Decks have areas set aside for conversation and relaxation, while inside, among the other comforts for guests to enjoy, are a massage room and a second hi-tech screening room with every comfort.

For this mega yacht, Giorgio M. Cassetta has created dynamic exterior lines that set off the vessel’s sleek profile with explosive effect. The indoor spaces are enhanced by elegant furnishing details by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, the Dutch firm behind the interior and, in part, the exterior design, not to mention the full custom built-in furniture and numerous design accessories created especially for this project.

Also making her official debut is the first unit of the refined Diamond 44M, with exterior styling by Giorgio M. Cassetta and interiors by the Benetti Interior Design Department.

Monaco Yacht Show 2024: Opening conference to address sustainability in the yachting industry 

Find out all about the Monaco Yacht Show’s annual opening conference. 

On 25 September, journalists, industry professionals and yacht owners will gather at the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) for a conference on sustainability in yachting. As well as highlighting current environmental challenges, it will present practical and affordable solutions that can be extended to sectors other than yachting. 

Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of the Monaco Yacht Show, will open the conference by presenting the operational measures put in place by the MYS to support the transition to sustainability at every level. 

The programme includes topics such as reducing the carbon footprint of earlier generation yachts, improving sustainability through environmentally responsible behaviour on board, and the question: “How are superyacht innovations influencing other markets? ». To answer these questions, MYS will be giving the floor to Jean-Marc Bolinger, Managing Director of the MB92 Group, Rober van Tol, Executive Director of the Water Revolution Foundation and Giedo Loeff, Head of Research and Development at Feadship. 

Throughout the event, a series of round tables on the theme of innovation and sustainability will be co-organised with specialist media outlet Superyacht Times. The aim is to explore the cutting-edge solutions and sustainable initiatives that are reshaping the future of yachting.

Benetti will present two premieres at the 31st edition of the Monaco Yacht Show , the largest international exhibition dedicated to the world of superyachts. Two of the most significant models of the shipyard will be on show, making the MYS 2022 a significant occasion for Benetti. Benetti’s press conference at the show will take place on Thursday, September 29th, at the Hermitage Hotel. 

Motor yacht Iryna is the first unit of the B.Now 50m series. In addition to the 50m, the series comprises models of 60, 67 and 72 meters. RWD  design studio has penned the exteriors. In keeping with similar Benetti's, almost half of the living area is external and the interiors can be custom modified. 

The 65m custom motor yacht Triumph is one of the most recent superyachts launched by Benetti. It features five enclosed decks and a sundeck. The exterior design is the work of Cassetta Yacht Designers . Benetti's style office is responsible for the interiors and Green & Mingarelli Design Studio handled the decoration.

Advanced technology, innovative design concepts and a growing emphasis on sustainability are just some of the ways in which superyachts are continuing to evolve, and staying ahead of these emerging trends is crucial for designers, builders and enthusiasts alike. Looking at some of today’s stand-out features, we offer a glimpse into what could define the next generation of superyachts.

Responsive design As technology expands and develops, there is a growing trend for designers looking to intertwine art with technology. Responsive design, also known as immersive art, has been a big talking point in the industry recently.

A major project which caught attention back in 2020 was 107.2-metre Luminosity’s 370-square-metre interactive LED walls, designed by Zaniz Studio. Since then, responsive design has become ever more popular on board, with Perini Navi’s 46.5-metre ArtExplorer showcasing a 16-metre cinematic tunnel whose walls are wrapped in LED light installations.

Currently, responsive design plays with movement and light but in the future, we might see the trend encompass touch, smell and temperature.

Nature takeover We’re already seeing a shift towards yacht designs that champion an improved connection to the water – like the open aft deck on the Benetti Oasis models or the underwater viewing lounges on board 83.5-metre Savannah and 75-metre M’Brace.

The next phase may see greenery make more of an appearance on board. A recent nature-focused project that stole the spotlight was Heesen’s 67-metre Sparta, its three decks symbolising the elements of water, earth and air.

Interior restyling During and after the pandemic, we saw a significant spike in yacht usage among both owners and charterers, with some spending weeks at a time at sea.

Based on this, we might expect to see people readjust their attitude toward their yachts by focusing less on wow factor and more on comfort and liveability. Instead of grand pianos, elaborate dining saloons and disused Jacuzzis, owners may opt for additional offices, larger gym areas or cosy media rooms.

Central to this ethos is Nuvolari Lenard’s 202-metre Centerfold concept, a design that evokes feeling, according to the studio, rather than purely aesthetics. Interior styling is also shifting towards neutral tones and comfortable furnishings as opposed to cool, contemporary themes designed for dazzling, rather than living.

The power of artificial intelligence It’s no doubt that AI is beginning to weave its way into many industries, and this is no different in the world of yacht design.

Over the past year, we have seen various shipyards and designers embrace AI in order to enhance the guest experience on board. Azimut was one of the first with the installation of smart home automation on board the Magellano 60.

More recently, Rossinavi harnessed the power of AI to maximise environmental efficiency on board the 43-metre hybrid-electric Seawolf X. Whilst AI is still in its infancy, the industry has so far proven that the technology can be useful in numerous ways on board, and we can expect this evolve rapidly in the coming years.

Explorer-style amenities Alongside strong demand for explorer yachts we’ve also seen an uptick in trend for explorer-style features, even on regular superyachts.

Holterman’s 32.6-metre Lady Fleur is a good example of this, incorporating a hydraulic aft platform that doubles as a tender bay and swimming pool. Warming firepits, larger toy lockers and toy-carrying aft decks are becoming more commonplace, with Wider’s 49.9-metre Stern able to house a submersible.

In keeping with that theme, yachts may start to get more rugged and functional in appearance – something that’s highlighted by the booming in the popularity of conversion superyachts.

Glass galore The use of glass has grown in the past few years, with more designers beginning to use it for aesthetic purposes as well as functional ones.

We’ve also seen it become more frequently used for structural purposes too, as the material becomes more durable and easier to work with.

From Feadship’s 77.2-metre Pi’s glass-clad saloon to Oceanco’s 90-metre Dar’s glossy glass exterior, it’s making a big appearance on the exterior. In the future, we may start to see glass introduced more heavily on the interior as well.

Bilgin Yachts has announced the forthcoming global debut of luxury charter yacht ETERNAL SPARK at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show . As a flagship model in the Bilgin 163 series, this meticulously crafted charter yacht promises to set new standards in luxury yachting. 

The unveiling of luxury yacht rental ETERNAL SPARK represents a landmark event for both Bilgin Yachts and the global yachting community. Alongside her, two more exceptional yachts from Bilgin Yachts will also be featured at the Monaco Yacht Show; 155.10ft (47.5m) motor yacht charter STARBURST III , and 137.6ft (41.9m)  superyacht KASIF  will further elevate the exhibition.

An epitome of luxury with unparalleled attention to detail, ETERNAL SPARK's exterior and naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design showcases sleek, sporty lines complemented by expansive open decks and modern functionality. Emrecan Özgün, CEO of Unique Yacht Design, highlights the focus on "expansive, sheltered open decks," creating beautifully interconnected areas like the grand beach club and stunning sundeck. These features ensure all Mediterranean yacht charter guests enjoy seamless sea access and ultimate comfort on board.

Key highlights of the motor yacht charter include outdoor and indoor cinemas, a 5,000-liter Jacuzzi pool on the sundeck, and a spacious beach club with a sauna. The transformer swim platform provides easy access to the sea for action-packed watersports yacht charters .
